Good morning, No prep, no launch, 1400DA 38psi tires, damp roads. BUT no rain ? Getting a revision later this week with boost added to launch and a revision to the awd management and trans!
-
Adding now, still learning the program. Btw what's the edge record?
-
I sadly dont. I'll trade phone mounts with dad tomorrow and record from the windshield. The mount I used today was the insert in to cd player kind. I'm hoping to leave a bit early tomorrow morning and get a good one.

In rain, no launch, wheels spin, 1,980ft DA, 2 passengers (at 240lbs each), crap in the trunk. Not final revision.
-
Check out what i have posted about BCB ? our group has a 50.00 dollar discount with them and we are currently working on another trans tune iteration.
-
i can speak for the Sport, we sadlty do not have any towing hooks or attachment points in the front of the vehicle. For the rear i just use the tow hitch eyelets.
-
is it just during ac use or cooling fans wont turn on
-
@snmjim Should be able to help you. but the fronts are easy as pie, its the backs that are a straight up PITA. you have to remove the intake box, rear turbo inlet, and then use skinny hand powers to get them out.

Maybe a main tuning page,Then sub motors like sage said

This is testing flow or lb/min of air. The vehicle was able to achieve the same boost pressure (23.2psi) with 22% less wastegate which directly correlates to less restriction. Also, over all we only saw a 13 degree higher staring temp and 7 degree lower ending boost temp (post intercooler) which means the heat theory has been squashed. Yes there is more heat in the beginning, but the amount of flow you gain from getting rid of the stock box far outweighs it. Also, no one has seen gains from it due to the tune auto adjusting for the same peaked boost desired, ours did the same. But let me reiterate, the turbos are not trying as hard while gives the tuner more head room and lower final boost temps.
-
If you refer to OP it actually didnt heat things up that drastically. And what we were testing was the OEM box restriction, not the filter element.
-
Just contacted them and he will be in touch with us tomorrow to go over details.
-
To expand further he called back yesterday to tell me that at 5000 rpm with stock air box the wastegate was at full duty cycle, with the "intake" we still have about 22% left in the wastegate at the same point.
-
Just heard back from Casey at BCB from the logs comparing the stock airbox vs the screens. I quote: "very interesting with the intake removed. there is quite a big pressure drop across the stock airbox it looks like. turbos not working nearly as hard to compensate" So that is good news, means we are on the right track!

Larger wheels usually crack and brake due to a lower sidewall tire used and thus they are more prone to coming in contract with potholes and sharp edges. we have many folks on here that have bent the 21's. I have a nice set of 20's with new rubber if you are looking for an alternative.

I remember vaugley seeing something about someone fitting one and having to force fit it. will need to take a moment to search the forums and find it. P.S. the fusion forums constantly complains about the fit and finish of the steeda intake.

Sounds good bud! Just please be careful, there is no way to monitor your timing or boost. A car can feel the same with 6 more psi of boost, then once you grenade a motor (which many have done). What the boost max usually does is trick the throttle/boost/timing tables to trick the car into bring boost in earlier. This WILL grenade a motor, especially with the GT15 style turbos the sport/st has that are most efficient below 3000 rpm, and will easily build 26psi if not controlled. I just dont wanna see a fellow member become a statistic

best thing todo is go nab a big adjustable wrench from harbor freight. will take her right off ?

Damn dude....best of luck!

We are currently sponsored by BCB if you are looking for a legitimate way to increase horsepower, 50.00 off of a tuner and tune.
