  1. Have you ever photoshopped some black wheels on there? I'm having a hell of a time finding wheels that I like that fit the edge. Might end up powdercoating the stockers when I finally get around to the tire swap. these niche m130 are kind of the look i'm after, but they are only offered with 40mm offset, and in this configuration they would push the wheels out an additional 3/4 of an inch. I really don't think i'll like that look... but they look good on the vehicle
  2. If someone wanted to pay me 50k a year to drive a new ford with a big ball of cameras on top all across the country, sign me the hell up. Or subcontract someone from a local Ford dealer within 50 miles to investigate once every 4 months and confirm an update is needed, then release the damn thing twice a year.
  3. Still amazed that ford hasn't found a way to let the customers suggest map edits/updates. How many cars on the road with navigation, you have millions of drivers at your fingertips providing you with useful information. Hit a (?) on the screen, and a little menu comes up with options such as: -Incorrect speed limit -Not at this destination -New road construction blah blah blah.. you can do any number of different options, and once ford has received numerous complaints about the same thing, they investigate. how might they investigate? Hell, google maps street view is more accurate than the damn navigation. Ford could partner with them to get the latest updates. Better yet, start their own division of maps, create some jobs, make the navigation price a bit higher on the initial purchase, but offer free updates via wifi and USB so there are no dealer visits and time wasted in the service department.
  4. it's all in your 60ft on that run. could have gotten close with a better launch. 12's without an intercooler seems like you'll need perfect conditions. It's already too hot here in texas to try for 12's. Good mph on your run. You can definitely dip into the 12s with that mph. my 13.12 was only 103.5mph so you're definitely capable.
  5. repair it. if you end up with a bunch of drone you just pooped away a bunch of money. believe me, I fabricated a custom exhaust for mine and the drone is a kick in the ears. my set up is almost identical to the one they suggested to you: magnaflow muffler in place of the stock resonator, straight pipes from there to the tips. without an additional muffler in the rear the cabin is completely filled with noise at any steady cruising rpm. keep in mind i'm not some grumpy old man sack that hates loud cars. I did this exhaust because I've been a hot rod guy my whole life, the louder the better. I changed my mind after this set-up.

already did. its on this forum in a few places
  7. Chris, do you have any more info on how this has worked for you? Did it actually do its job of reducing wheel hop?
  8. GT500 on this site is chris, he is the one who has a link to the guy who did this. that link is on this forum somewhere, as I have already asked him for it. I will edit if I find it in the meantime. EDIT Post #47 on this thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21158-0-60-quarter-mile-stock-tuned-edge-sport-thread/page-3?hl=%20grill%20%20cnc
  9. 0-60 is awful in the sport.. ok not awful, but definitely not great. 6.2 seconds (2016 motortrend) is not exactly the most thrilling. I'm sure lag has something to do with it. I'll reiterate what 037 said, traction control off, sport mode, torque brake it to 2500rpm then mash it to the floor.
  10. I have yet to encounter any wheel hop either, just a lot slower times than leo. Then again, I don't launch with my right foot on the floor either.
  11. are they a straight through design or are they chambered?
  12. you picked the perfect lines to follow. nice work. I'd love to do that to mine. I've always liked the look of satin black on gloss black.
  13. If i've got a leaking turbo seal, someone better sell me those better turbos, K?
  14. If you were anywhere near me I would make you one. Find yourself a fabrication or hot rod shop in the area and they should be able to do it for you. I had to make one for my foxbody. If you ever sat in one of those mustangs, you'd notice you can eat gummy bears off your knees while driving... even with the seat all the way back
  15. ford hasn't exactly been known for their performance SUV's. It wouldn't be a smart business move to start making a 500hp crossover-esque vehicle and just dump it into the market and "just see how sales go". Create a buzz, feel out the people. Marketing, you ever heard of it? Like WWW said, it was the first time they actually got some "sport" out of a sport. and out of all the people that have bought it, how many carve the canyons or take it to the drag strip? I'd bet my salary its less than 1% of their sales. How could you justify that in a boardroom? "Hey, let's jam the raptor motor in a minivan and see if people like it"
  16. this is what it looks like. 7k miles worth, so it's not much but enough to concern me.
  17. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22816-2016-sport-rear-seat-delete/
  18. Not sure where else to look. work backwards from the BOV or is there a particular place to start?
  19. As you saw in my other post with the rear seat delete, I didn't realize how much of the drone was caused basically because the seats were out and the sound didn't have any place to be absorbed. I cut out probably 50% or more of the exhaust drone by adding some foam sound isolation panels in the spare tire area, and under my seat delete. It made a big enough difference that I may actually leave this custom exhaust on after all. I do have the straight through mufflers waiting for me to get under there and weld them on, but I'm debating on using them since that simple bit of foam did a good job for me.
  20. It took less than 15 minutes to get the seats out. less than 15 to put them back in. The bench is just hooked on to the backrest, comes off easy, and the rest is just unplugging 2 harnesses and taking off 8 nuts. so simple. One thing you'll notice is the road noise from the back, so after I made my seat delete doggy platform I lined the bottom with soundproofing foam (I have a bunch of it because I have a little home recording studio for musicians) but amazon has it pretty cheap. amazing how much the seats stop the sound from bouncing around back there.
  21. 245/50 r20. they used the ventus s1 noble II on mine, i'd assume most have those on there from the factory. hankook on the 20's, pirelli's on the 21's
  22. such a rough spot to be in. I hate having that stigma when I go to sell something. almost better to be totaled sometimes. glad everyone was alright.
  23. Are you running 18" wheels on there?
  24. I'm not on facebook. might need to have the wife check that out!
