  1. oh, and for the record, I'm not saying your edge did not run those numbers. clearly it did. but there is more to this story somewhere. tell your secrets! Once I get a 12 second pass from mine, I'm done. I have a drag car in the garage for all my other speedy needs.
  2. No intercooler on yours or any other mods? Something smells funny here. My best run on 100 octane is 13.12 and that is with the truck gutted (no seats, no spare, nothing in the hatch area) and a DA of 475. I had no wheel hop, and the video doesn't show any kind of spin off the line. I have the same tune. somethings gotta give on these numbers.
  3. would have been more helpful to pull the plug yourself and gotten to take a look at it. Kind of short on info as to what the plug looked like to get a better diagnosis.
  4. What was the DA and what mods or weight reduction? your 93 octane is nearly as good as my 100 octane. 60ft is great *edit, i just checked the DA in the area... it was -970ft lol thats not even realistic for the rest of us anywhere else in the country! get outta here with that nonsense!

Thank you! took a lot longer than expected but the results were good. If only the sound levels were acceptable!
  6. This is some gunk I found in the tube leading from the blow off valve, back into the intake tube. Would this stuff be caught by the catch can?

  8. I was originally going to get the burnt blue tips, but with stainless you can actually do it yourself with a good torch. Then I saw them on a civic. The stainless tips are really noticeable and stand out on the road. those blue tips just look dirty when you see them cruising down the road, but they do look really good close up. My thoughts, anyway.
  9. I never knew I didn't like that metallic gray piece. thanks for mentioning it!
  10. I took a video of a 3k torque brake launch in front of my place. Just tried to roast the tires off in a video to send to a few of my friends that think this mommy van isn't a freakin trip to drive. Between that and my recent time slip, I think i've converted a few of them into believers.
  11. any particular reason? is there something behind it? I'm not sure what this part is on ebay, looks the same, but might be different. I'm thinking its different because of how cheap it is. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-OEM-15-16-Edge-Front-Bumper-Grille-Grill-Outer-Grille-Left-FT4Z17B814AB/322875077292?fits=Year%3A2015%7CMake%3AFord%7CModel%3AEdge%7CSubmodel%3ASport&epid=1852795116&hash=item4b2cdab2ac:g:AwAAAOSwY~laBhTW&vxp=mtr Like you stated, It appears that it is not a light though. just base model. https://www.ebay.com/p/Ford-OEM-2015-Edge-Front-Bumper-Grille-outer-Grille-Left-FT4Z17B814AB/1852795116?iid=332433986729&_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D50074%26meid%3D0392b73d32f44ae0a70b182f41c8f7e1%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D322875077292%26itm%3D332433986729&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1
  12. those look fine in there! sure 3.5" would fill it more but those certainly don't look too small. I'm sure nick would disagree though. I think he's putting 4- 5 gallon buckets for quad tips back there.
  13. Livernois said the tune increased power on the top end, but their dyno showed the torque curve moving down quite a bit. end result would get you what you're seeing here. max torque used to peak at about 3000 and was relatively flat to about 4300. the v3 tune shows peak torque about 2600, but steadily drops the rest of the way
  14. A lot of drain plugs now have them. My harley has it, my mustang has it.
  15. Once you stray from the original intentions of the vehicle, improvements need to be made.
  16. I agree with disco. When you did the pads did you just clamp the old pads to push them in without cracking open the bleeder? I always crack the bleeder now instead of just pushing fluid back up into the reservoir, then top it off if necessary. sometimes not cracking the bleeder puts unnecessary stress on the calipers. perhaps bleed the brakes to be sure there is no air as well
  17. I really like that idea. I just started a thread that hopefully helps people like you and me get some interest and help making ideas possible. maybe post it here as well: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/23998-engineers-fabricatorscad-drawers-etc-step-inside/
  18. Anyone that knows someone with skills, check back here often! 3d printers, designers, whoever can help us! I don't have facebook, so if you can help and maybe add a link to a facebook group of edge owners or something. Much appreciated! There are a lot of us trying to figure out how to improve some design flaws on our vehicles. Some of us push the envelope of what our stock systems can handle. Well, they always say 2 heads are better than 1. Well I say lets put several heads together and get our own projects rolling to help each other out. I'm trying to start a thread to bounce ideas off of each other, and possibly make prototypes for some of our ideas. So here's where I'm at... I'd like to come up with a better intake design than the current hot air intake the factory puts in this thing. I came across the posts by Xtra and GT500 where they opened up the grill area to accommodate a bit more air. Well lets face it, at best, the opening is only 1" x what, 8" or so? There seems to be a lot of usable room in that area to expand the size of the inlet and bottom of the intake box. What are your guys thoughts on that? maybe add a few inches of width to the part that sucks the air in from the grill, make it wider and thicker all the way to the bottom of the intake box where the filter sits? That might be the easiest, so that anyone can install in under an hour without cutting away chunks of the car! I also like the idea Xtra used with the dual round filters, however the box would need to be altered to accommodate this. But, with those style filters, it wouldn't matter where the cold air came from (as long as it is sealed from the under hood temps. Currently with the panel filter, the air must flow in from the bottom of the box. This may open up some other options for scooping in extra air from other sources. Which leads me to another thought. Maybe the additional air can be brought in from the "fog light" area. Keeping the LED light intact, maybe open up the center to be shaped more like a grill, and direct the flow in from there? Thoughts? Prayers? Bueller?
  19. Did you go with a bit extra negative camber in the fronts?
  20. Check your plugs. Might at least tell you which cylinder has the issue (if the check engine doesn't stay on to read codes). Work backwards from there.
  21. Anthony is the one who emailed me saying they were ready to be uploaded to my tuner. I don't know who the tuner was that actually worked on it. The tune works, as they are open all the time now. Maybe you have a different strategy code associated with your edge and they haven't figured that one out yet?
  22. Where would it be coming from? Is this where a catch can might be handy? I've had the VTA mod for a while now, and just wiped my finger around the inside of the tube and it is covered in brown tacky sludge. That stuff would be going right back into the intake tract if I didn't have it vented to nowhere. Any input appreciated.
  23. There have been a few guys on here that have made their own and it looks very similar to that steeda product you have there. They have all since removed them because it just doesn't work. The temps under the hood on these edges are insane, and if that design doesn't seal to the hood, you'll be running into the same issue.
