  1. Everything is still solid, no harsh engagements and all shifts are smooth!
  2. no problem, someone else shared it on FB and I wanted to make sure it was shared here too. I got it applied yesterday felt good after getting it back but it usually does when it's warm. I took it out this morning and it felt solid. I get a hard shift/buck at the same points during my morning drive that it's basically predictable, it didn't happen this time. I also tried to reproduce it like I have in the past and it didn't happen. Shifting feels better between 3/4. I'm cautiously optimistic since it's a small sample size but this could be it.
  3. Well after a month at the dealership due to a transmission leak with under 1500 miles I got the car back with the new TSB applied as well. I can tell a noticeable difference from how it used to drive but only time will tell. The service advisor also mentioned giving the transmission 500 miles to learn and get smoother on the shifts. I'm hoping to finally enjoy my car.
  4. Agreed and I will it just hurts seeing her sit there. I did some troubleshooting with it in the driveway so I can give some feedback to the dealership when I take it on Wednesday. Seems like it's only leaking when being driven. I turned it on and didn't move it and there was no leak. I then drove it down the driveway and I can see fluid spotting on the pavement. The only drive I have to make is Monday for work so fingers crossed. It unnerves me that when serious issues like this pop-up you just gotta wait in line to get the car looked at or be put in a loaner, there's no sense of urgency. I get it that dealerships have finite resources but they just told me to bring it back Wednesday as if there wasn't potential for serious damage to the car.
  5. It is disappointing. My first two Fords a 2010 Explorer XLT and a 2013 Edge SEL were great cars, never any issues. With my 2016 Edge Sport it would just die upon "get to highway speed" acceleration, almost got into two severe accidents because of it. It took about 6 months to diagnose and fix, they had to replace the entire engine harness after trying many other things before that. Now with the Edge ST which I've loved so far is starting to leak transmission fluid and I believe this started on Friday after a really harsh R to D transmission engagement. I really want to go out for a drive but I'm afraid to do so with the leak.
  6. Yea, it's got a red/pink hue to it and it's only got about 1700 miles on it. No one has touched anything under the hood yet.
  7. Well, looks like I've gotten hit with a transmission issue. Noticed a small drip of transmission fluid on the garage floor today. Not a heavy leak at least not evident by the amount dripping out, I'd say about 3 quarter-sized puddles in the span of an hour. I took it by the dealer they looked under it and didn't see any hoses or piping leaking but it was near the end of the day so they couldn't get me in. I have an appt for Wednesday but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this and if it's ok to drive the car until Wednesday?
  8. I never felt the ventilated seats did anything for me in the sport. When I was shopping around I experienced other ventilated seats like the Mazda CX9 that actually made a difference and I felt it. So I don't think I'll be missing anything there. Plus I'm in CO so 9 months out of the year it's beautiful. Part of my complaints about the Sport I got back in 2016 was that it had too much tech. I never used the parking features, I never used lane alert, Nav is redundent with Car Play providing that feature. So I didn't think it would be worth it plus with a sun roof I wouldn't have enough head room. I found the perfect build with the convenience package and cold weather package. Parked next to the GT350 in our office parking lot and I gotta say we look goooooood.
  9. Well, I've done it. I'm in the Edge ST. Getting used to not having some features I had in my Sport (ventilated seats, front camera/sensors, nav) but I'm enjoying the drive so far. Wish me luck!
  10. thanks for the reply, its good to see that they're actively working on it. I'm coming from a 2016 Sport that got rear ended a week after I bought out the lease so here I am again! There are a couple of STs locally that have good incentives but have been on the dealerships lot for a bit so I'm gonna see if a test drive reveals anything.
  11. So this is somewhat off-topic but I figured you all would be the best to ask. I'm looking into getting into an ST in the next week or so. I've been reading about these transmission issues and I'm wondering if I should reconsider going with an ST? Do any of you regret your purchase?
  12. Thanks for the tips and ideas. To answer your questions: no power in any mode, no revs when accelerating and the gear indicator does not show any gear is selected.
  13. Hey Everyone, Long time reader, first post. So I've had my 2016 Ford Edge Sport for almost a year now. In the past 6 months I've had this recurring issue where the car just shuts down on me. It's always happened when I accelerate and nothing crazy just going from street speed to highway speed. The engine seems to stutter, then all the warning lights get triggered and then I lose all power. Even with the car in Drive there's no power, car acts like it's in neutral. This is seemingly different from the Limp Home mode I've read about because in my situation there's zero power. This is obviously ridiculous for a brand new car and it's a potentially fatal issue. If this happens at the right (wrong) moment I could end up in a very severe collision. I basically can't trust the car. I've taken it to Ford 3 times with no luck on diagnosis. This most recent time they've installed a flight recorder in the car so it can catch any relevant codes the next time it happens. Here's a video of the issue after I have a chance to pull over: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FmrKeGGxYY If anyone has any suggestions on what my options are I'd appreciate it. It's very unfortunate that I don't feel Ford has any urgency around this issue at least from the experience I've gotten from my service department. I've filed a formal complaint with Ford, hoping that'll do something. Thanks for listening/reading.
