Nick, Per your post N this string... Has Steeda started production of their CAI 4 the Edge Sport?

For those of us interested in after market performance MODs for the 2016 Edge Sport, and all years that apply, we must keep this thread/interest going or it won't happen in a reasonable time frame.... Case in point, we've (Special K & I) completed the custom tuning using Unleashed Tuning for 87 & 93 Octane however, we cannot continue with E30 tuning until our first performance choke point, high Charge Air Intake (CAI) Temps are resolved.... It appears that the stock Intercooler is fine for stock applications however, once performance MODs are made, it pushes past the Intercoolers cooling capacity which allows a sudden Temp climb because it's basically a single turbo Intercooler... Therefore, per Nick's and Special K's dialogue in this string we need to combine & exhaust all resources with the resources of this interest group... On that note we need the following support to make this happen:... - Special K to push forward with coordinating an R&D opportunity with CP-E in Beltsville, MD. - Nick Halstead to push forward with coordinating an R&D opportunity with Mishimoto in Wilmington, DE. - SNMJim to provide & schedule R&D platform once supporting company has been identified. SUPPORT REQUESTs:... - Does anyone have a spare applicable (2015-2017 for 2.7) intercooler to loan for R&D? This would allow us to ship the sample to the company for the initial R&D. Of course we'd take full responsibility for returning it in the condition received. - Looking for anyone that has or who will be pulling off their front clip any time soon to please provide detailed Pics with measurements included in the Pics. If the Pics are done correctly, to the level of detail engineering can use i.e. measurements taken from all point, we could initiate the R&D process and reduce the amount of time a company would require the vehicle. Standing by for responses from members devoted to the cause...

Where's the fuse for the "Active Intercooler Shutters"? If I elect to pull the fuse will the "Active Intercooler Shutters" lock in the open or closed position?

Root57 N response 2 your cost request 4 a new Ford passenger mirror it cost me $375 however thats at cost from a friend N the Ford parts Rm...;-) My understanding from others its a $450-$550 retail part...OUCH!!! 4 A FREAKING MIRROR...WTF Over!!!

U think that's expensive, just wait untill you have to buy one of those super special door mirrors...

In tuning with Unleashed (Torrie) we're in the process of refining the 93 Octane tune and have hit high CAI Temps. So until an after market intercooler is developed to mitigate and/or resolve this issue I'd like to pose the following question to our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)... Why not either remove the shutters from the "Active Intercooler Shutters" for the intercooler or simply pull the fuse with them in the fully open position? For those who don't already know this we're tuning a stock 2016 Ford Edge Sport...

What's with these in your face always on lights??? Can't we tint or turn them off?

Why is it designed like this instead of fully open? What are our options for better flow? Trying to stimulate some dialog here...
