  1. I don't sell these, call Loren at Rotora to get a price and I am not Consumer Reports. I just love them know they are so much better than stock and they look great . I had lots of positive feedback at the show about them .
  2. Hello..... my Edge is a street car and you just answered your own question . As for your demands LOL.
  3. The show was awesome and just need to correct a couple things. There were over 1,800 cars entered not 1,000 and it is the largest all Ford show on the West Coast.
  4. Go figure it out yourself. Now go commute someplace with your 200,000+mile beaters . I am off to the Fords only show at Knotts Berry Farm in my brand new tricked out Edge Sport with my hot girl friend where I am entered in the show . Over one thousand awesome show Fords will be there and the new 2018 Mustang will be on display. This is the largest Ford only show in the USA.
  5. Yes I have the brake lines, they were part of my kit. No, I am not tuned I wish I was. I live where tuning is not allowed except for off road and at the track. I did install a Pedalmax . It does not touch the stock emission settings. It just improves the throttle response and reduces turbo lag. It has a control knob to set it from off to 100% or full. I leave it off most of the time for easy cruzin', but I will use it in traffic in certain situations when I need instant response and better control from the car. It really does makes the car feel like it has more power at low to mid range. The Pedalmax does not make HP you could say it just makes what you have more accessible. The car is certainly much more responsive .The Pedalmax when set at full pulls away from stop lights in a rush with just normal pedal pressure. This give you the feel that you just picked up a whole bunch of HP over stock . Hard to explain it. I just know that it is fun to use, easy to install and return to stock if you want. A definite improvement and worth the bucks. If you are looking for something less than a tune, keeps your computer stock and gives your 2.7L Ecoboost Edge an edge. The Pedalmax works with your stock computer it does not change it. The instructions said that you should not use the Pedalmax with a tune unless the tune accounts for it, the throttle could be to sensitive to use safely.
  6. Yes ,this was an issue in the past ,they have it sorted now. I would have never got them if I had to give up the Parking Brake.
  7. The red car does have solid steel vented rotors you are correct sir, no drilled allowed. Rotora has its own foundry here in the USA so you have not a clue about any of that.
  8. The fact is that up until now no manufacture has offered a brake package for Edge sports and I have seen on this forum some people are interested in this kind of upgrade. I have them and a SEMA car has them, thats it as far as I know. I love them, they kick major ass and that is my opinion . Because I let Rotora use my car to develop the product I have arranged to help others enjoy what I have. If it offends people that some stranger would do something out of his way to help them out then so be it. I have no investment in this other than helping other Edge owners step up and showing off my cars. . If you think I work for anyone you are wrong, I am retired and enjoying the good life. My Edge is a everyday driver and then I have the weekend warrior. As far as I am concerned if you are happy with your OEM or Pep Boys Lifetime Brakes than good on ya. Me at the Track in my 200 mph car. Guess someone out there thinks this is fake as well.
  9. RC Mike I don't give a rats ass if you buy these or not. All I have tried to do is help fellow Edge owners save some money and get some high end parts for their car. I appreciate your opinion. Pearls before swine.
  10. Yea, your salt soaked rusted out farm car with over 100,000 + miles on the brakes alone.
  11. Ok here we go . The front 6 pot brakes did not fit the 2016 21 inch Edge Sport OEM rims without the use of wheel spacers. I don't know about any other years or rim combinations. Every year or so manufactures change the rims and that can be a problem with fitment. Rotora had my car for a couple weeks designing a new system. That new improved brake system includes the electric rear parking brake, the anti lock brakes and lets the front 6 piston calipers with 380mm rotors, Drilled or Slotted ,fit the 21 inch OEM wheels without spacers. So the electric parking brake does work as original. The Anti Lock Brakes do work as original. And the front calipers do fit without the use of wheel spacers. These brakes kick ass and work so much better than stock it is not funny and yes they do cost more than Pep Boys life time brakes. To make things better Rotora is offering a special discount to forum members. Just mention Xtra to Loren. I make nothing on this, I am just helping out other Edge enthusiast on this site as I love these brakes and you will too.
  12. Just built and added this intake to my 2.7L Ecoboost Edge. Cant tell any differance yet in milage or perormance. But I think it looks cool.
  13. Never said intake air temp does not matter, and you completely disregard that some of the air is coming from the stock air intake. Not all the air is from under the hood. So far I cant tell the difference between the two , performance or milage difference. So far the only difference I can tell is the eye candy aspect of it . And if it does nothing more than that I am a happy camper. Time will tell as I have not even one tank of gas with it.
  14. GREAT NEWS !!!!! Just got off the phone with Loren at Rotora . Rotora is offering a group buy price to forum members ! Just mention " Extra " and receive the discount.... Awesome Sauce !
  15. I am located at the mouth of a canyon . Not just any canyon but the one that accesses lots of other canyon roads . The very same roads that every Los Angeles based Motorcycle and Auto magazine use for testing and photo shoots. Places like the Rock Store and Stunt Road to name some you may know of. So for me they are not overkill. To answer a few questions :The brakes have a very long service life, more than stock with the ceramic H-2 pads. As for the Drilled rotors, the holes are chamfered to help relieve stress and reduce cracking. They also offer an endurance slotted rotor that is used for racing that can be used on the street. As for over kill again, I understand you don't have to have these to go pick up the kids, but the feel of the brakes is worth it alone, not to mention the performance aspect and the killer looks. As for cost call ROTORA and ask for Loren tell him Extra from this forum sent you. He will hook you up.
  16. I am very happy with the performance of my intake . The oiled filter is not a problem as I have run one for thousands of miles with not one speck of oil or dirt in the intake runners. No problems with sensors, no problems with oil covering anything. Over oiling a filter can cause problems, but I have never seen what you refer to in thousands of miles of real world driving. As for hot air from under the hood , the filters sit in the bottom of the intake box next to the stock air intake . So they do recieve fresh cold air, they also suck in air from under the hood as you say. But in a turbo car the air is compressed and heats up anyway and then the hot compressed air is sent through a heat exchanger intercooler and the intake charge is then cooled before combustion. I understand what you are saying but this set up works great and IMHO looks great also.
  17. If I had the guts I would cut a hole in the hood, add a small scoop and seal the intake box to it . But as you say the Edge is not a race car. So I will run it as is. There have been no oil problems, no intake temp problems, and I don't expect any . This information is through use, not by something I saw someplace. By the way mine runs 5.6sec 0 to 60 . Perhaps a bit faster but I'm not talking about those mods yet, and I love the eye candy and hand fabrication aspects of it. Bench racing is fun as well.
  18. The Sema Show brakes were with custom rims so they would fit. They would not work on a stock Edge Sport with OEM rims . These brakes will fit the stock OEM 21 inch wheels, no wheel spacers needed. Rotora wanted to develop a set up that would work with OEM equipment, and had no wheel spacers. As they needed a stock Edge to do this, I loaned them mine so that they could develop the system. Hope that clears things up. This system was finished and ready for the public in March 2017. I worked directly with them on this project and this is first hand info. The brakes kick butt and look good too. They work with the Anti Lock Brake System and the Electric Parking Brake. I could not be happier.
  19. Hello Edge Sport Owners, After looking for upgraded brakes for my Edge Sport and finding nothing.. I contacted Loren at Rotora Brakes and did he ever hook me up! Rotora took the time and my Edge Sport to developed a killer brake package that every Edge Sport owner can now enjoy. Rotora is now the only manufacture that offers upgraded brakes for the Edge Sport. Six Piston Front with 380mm drilled rotors and Four piston 350mm drilled rotor rears. They also offer slotted rotors. This is a no compromise top of the line bolt on package . Call ROTORA and ask for Loren he will hook you up. Tell him EXTRA sent you.
  20. Tire Rack has some on backorder. They are for the 2016 Edge Sport they should be avalable in mid May 2017. Ask for Cooper he has the scoop on these. H&R SPORT SPRING SETPremium, Performance Street FRONT AND REAR Ride Height: Moderate Lowering Manufacturer Part #: 28759-2 Note: Avg. low 1.2"F & 1.6"R. For AWD models. Lowering varies by engine size and model. $239.00 Availability: Back Order
  21. The filters sit in the bottom of the original air box. Fresh cool outside air is still feeding them and they are not getting all the air from under the hood. As for oil type filters I have run K&N for thousands of miles in my Explorer and the filter is very close to the hot wire in the intake . No oil build up of any kind or any other problems. I believe that when people clean their K&N filters, some over oil them causing the problems you speak of. On the Edge the filters are far away from the hot wire and the turbos. The intake air is compressed in the turbos ( heating it up ) and run to a heat exchanger to control the intake charge temp.
  22. I just made my own Duel K&N intake I can make one for you. No cutting or permanent modifications. Can be put back to stock. Just a couple nut drivers and 5 min to install, super easy. Includes sensor, filters and clamps.
