  1. Truly amazing, a bolt in kit with hot and cold pipes will sell like hot cakes with numbers like that! And besides the huge HP gains, this is one mod that can actually help with engine life and reliability, especially if you live in a hot climate and drive hard like I do on occasion. I am saving my Ducats now in anticipation.
  2. 1/2 second is a lot!! Not Good..I also like the softer shifting tune it feels like something Ford would do. It does not seem as fast as the original performance tune, but that might be because of the smooth shifting. It is a great tune for everyday driving, more power than stock yet smooth as silk. The v3 tune has yet to be installed. I was running the 91 aggressive and that was a good tune in sport mode for the canyons because it would shift fast and hard. It would hold off shifting longer so I could power through the corner then it would shift fast as I came out of the corner. I hope that the 91v3 is as good or better than the old Aggressive, but from your experience and what you say it might not be… We will see if it works for me in the canyons in a few weeks..
  3. Great numbers, awesome results . Had no idea that the stock IC was so overwhelmed . I can feel the power loss when things heat up, but 38HP at the wheels! Wow thats a lot. Put me on the list to get one when available .
  4. roots57, I like the blue calipers, good choice . You say they are anodized and not painted? I think mine are painted. The anodized finish very hard and scratch resistant compared to paint, much more durable.
  5. I just re-programed my car with new a Livernois tune. They sent me a 91 performance less aggressive softer shifting tune that I installed. It feels like it has the power of the original 91 Performance Tune, but with the soft shifting of a stock tune. I am not sure if the redline or shift points have changed under full throttle, but so far I like it a lot. They also sent me a 91-V3 that I have not tried yet. The 91-V3 may have replaced the 91 aggressive. I will install the 91-V3 when I hit the canyons and let you all know.
  6. This is good news and I have the mountain roads in my back yard to test it on.
  7. Around here IE: Los Angeles; A lot of people drive BMW, Audi because they do cost a lot and are expensive. It is a prestige thing. I have more money than you. My car costs twice as much as yours therefor I am smarter have a better job and you are beneath me. They don't know squat about the car itself. I went in for an oil change and started talking to the kid who worked there . He told me of a guy with a new Porsche that put windshield washer fluid in where you put the oil. Another women with a Maserati had never changed the oil in 40,000 miles , she said "you have to change the oil? " To a lot of people the fact that a Kia Stinger is great bang for the buck is lost because Kia does not say what BMW or Audi does. They would rather spend twice or three times as much because they can, value has nothing to do with it.
  8. Look out! Big power gains coming your way. This project of yours is gunna make some serious Horse Power !!!! Once the new turbos and IC are installed a new tune will be in order. snmjim leading the way and showing us how it's done. Thank you .
  9. I'm really interested in comparing the Edge ST once my lease is up. I think Ford should setup some sort track day for current Edge Sport owners, since dealers won't allow their cars to be test driven. The Edge Sport is not track worthy. Brakes, Intercooler, and the All Wheel Drive Unit all overheat quickly when pushed. Expect things to overheat within 4 miles on a track, 3 to 4 laps at most. These are some of the things that some here are working on. We can hope that Ford has addressed some of this with the new Edge ST.
  10. I was doing some research and I found that the ST comes with upgraded brakes standard and has a even better set as an option. 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears perhaps as the option?
  11. Looks like Ford has been listening. Improved seats, brakes and suspension a little more power. These are the things that some of us Sport owners have been spending our money on. I for one am looking forward to test driving a ST Edge ASAP.
  12. When I had my wrap done I asked about wrapping the splitter in carbon and the tech told me that because of the texture of the plastic the wrap would have problems adhering and he advised against it. I guess he did not want the liability , but by doing it yourself there is no liability problem if it does not stick. I am interested in your results, I hope it works as I will have mine done as well.
  13. That new IC looks awesome and a clean install as well. If your supplier ever markets a direct bolt on unit, I will one of the first in line to get one. Thanks for the great information and keep up the good work.
  14. What publications are you talking about?
  15. All the cars and times listed are from MotorTrend's January 2018 issue. So the comparison is fair and equal, and that is the point of this thread.
  16. You are using seat of the pants and feelings for your 0 to 60 numbers. Can you please show me some published articles that back up what you say or have a device that records 0 to 60 times I would be interested in seeing that. Unless you have had your backside or feelings calibrated, I will have to stick with the published facts from 3 different independent sources.
  17. I think you might be refering to the first generation Edge Sport or another Edge model. Starting in 2015 the Gen 2 Edge Sport was released with a 2.7L twin turbo V6 Ecoboost engine puting out an impressive 315Hp and 350TQ stock , not tuned. The G2 Edge Sport with the 2.7L has been tested by several magazines. MotorTrend put the G2 Edge Sport at 0-60 mph: 5.7 seconds Car And Driver puts it at 5.6 Autotk.com says 5.7 and 14.3 1/4 mile Please show me your resources that say different. I showed you mine...LOL
  18. Motor Trend just published their 2018 awards for cars and SUV. That Ford Edge Sport was not included I thought I would add the G2 Edge Sport to MotorTrends choices and see how it stacks up in 0 to 60 times. I have added the price to any car that is equal to, or faster to 60mph than the Edge Sport 2.7L. The Ford Edge Sport 2.7L is in the top of the pack with a 5.7 zero to 60 and a 14.3 1/4 mile ( MotorTrend ), and now we know that with a simple dyno tune it is faster than any of them These are MT top picks Alfa Romero Stelvio - 5.4 seconds 0 to 60 and 14.0 1/4 mile ------ $55,240 Chevy Traverse - 6.7seconds 0 to 60 and 15.2 1/4 mile Land Rover Discovery - 6.1 seconds 0 to 60 and 14.7 1/4 mile Subaru crosstrek - 8.8 seconds 0 to 60 and 16.7 1/4 mile Volks wagen Atlas - 7.9 0 to 60 and 16.0 1/4 mile Volvo XC60 T8 - 5.4 seconds 0 to 60 and 14.0 1/4 mile —— $71,500 The rest of the SUV pack Audi Q5 2.0T - 5.9 and 14.5 Audi SQ5 V6 T - 5.0 and 13.5 ----- $68,000 BMW X4 xDrive28i - 6.2 and 14.9 BMW X4 M40i - 4.9 and 13.6 ------ $64,445 Buick Encore = 10.7 and 17.9 Buick Envision - 7.0 and 15.4 Chevy Equinox - 6.6 and 15.2 GMC Terrain - 6.8 and 15.4 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0 ultimateAWD - 8.4 and 16.5 Jeep compass trail hawk - 9.4 and 17.2 Maserati Levante Q4 - 5.8 and 14.2 ----$93,350 Maserati Levante SQ4 - 4.9 and 13.4 ---- $102,150 Mazda CX-5 AWD Sport - 8.3 and 16.3 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe - 6.7 and 15.2 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLC43 Coupe - 4.6 and 13.2 ---- $76,125 Mini SE Countryman All4 - 5.9 and14.6 Nissan Rogue Sport - 9.8 and 17.5 Toyota C-HR - 10.3 and17.9 Volkswagen Tiguan 8.6 and 16.5 Volvo V90 Cross Country - 6.5 and 14.8
  19. After looking for a while I finally found a site that had a price listed for the Michelin PS4S in 265/40R21, $360 each. As this was the only site with a price listed for the PS4S, I don't know if that price is high or low.
  20. While roots57 has found perhaps the best bang for the buck summer tire out there in the AZ850 for our Edge Sports with 21 inch rims. I just found the highest performance tire available for our cars. Michelin is now offering their latest greatest summer tire in 265/40/R 21. This is good news because we now have more summer tires to choose from. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S has been lauded as the top summer tire in testing by TireRack, and it has a 30,000 mile limited tread wear warranty. It has 9% better tread life than the older Pilot Sport ( that did not come in 265/40R21 ) has better fuel efficiency, better wet and dry braking and is faster on the track. It must be expensive because Tire Rack does not give a price. I would think the price would be comparable to the Continental Extreme Sport Contact or the Pirelli PZ4 as they are direct competitors, neither are avalable in 265/40R21. Tires Tested include: Continental Extreme Contact Sport. Their top of the line summer tire Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) Perelli's newest and best summer tire yet Michelin Pilot Sport 4S You can read the entire report here : https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=223 Strange link you will have to click on "Tire Rack continue to Tire Rack. com" to see the review
