Almost forgot, the tires squeal through most of first and second gear now under hard acceleration. No rubber patches or smoke, just this bitchen sound of the tires fighting for grip. . It might have been the condition of the road that caused it because the road had just dried out from some overnight rain.
-
Yes it is quieter in the cabin over all as now the sound is exiting out beyond the bumper instead of under it. I drove hard today so I did not have the drone happen yet. I will have to get some passengers in it and take a road trip to see if the drone is gone. But overall It is an twofold improvement, custom looks and better sound.

Ok then.... I just got back from a test run. The new tires, alignment, new rear shocks, transmission flush and the V3 tune have just paid off with huge improvements. My old best time ever was a 1:07 and that was what I thought was the max possible. I ran that 1:07 at the end of last summer after I had been running almost every weekend. I just ran a 1:04 the first time out with the new set up :happy feet: . I have not run that road in a couple months and am very rusty. I could only get one run in as the CHP showed up to spoil the party. The PS4S tires kick butt and the V3 tune has them begging for traction coming out of the corners. My old Scorpion tires use to squeal through the cornrers , now my tires squeal coming out of the corner when I get back on the gas. I would recommend the PS4S to anyone looking for a great summer tire. Here is the chassis set up : Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/40R21: This is how they look after a run, sticky stuff :

Finally got the car back with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires installed I like the ride and in the wet they have very good traction. While I was at it I also had the car aligned and had the front camber bolts installed that Mikula recommended . The new bolts allowed an alignment by Galpin Auto Sports Performance Department that will work better in the canyons than the stock setup . I will post the alignment numbers later. I can't wait to get in the canyons on a dry day to see what the PS4S tires can really do .

Tight fit, you could have not made that 1/4 inch bigger. Great job!

In this one photo you can see a H&R Blue Coil Spring, the MRT Axel Back Muffler and the mods to the exhaust pipe for the new Duel Flowmaster Tip . You can also see where the clips were cut away that held the stock chrome bezel. And last but not least new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires. It was raining and dark when I picked up the car so I only have the one photo, I will post More photos and give a report when the sun decides to shine and I can test it out, so far I like the sound and looks of it.

My crystal ball was close, turns out it is a 2019 Edge ST not a RS. Thank you Ford! :happy feet:

That sucks hope you are ok -
I have the factory 21 wheels with 265/40 tires and H&R springs installed . The ride is good the handling is vastly improved. The travel is less so over speed bumps it is not as good as stock also sharp dips in the road are more pronounced. The ride on average streets is fine just a we bit softer than stock. I love mine, if you live on dirt roads or need snow chains I not sure if I would do it. Any one else want to chime in.

At most highway speeds I have no problem it is at slower speeds under load. The sound deadening material may be the answer. I will have to reevaluate after the tips are installed.

Ok back on topic, the summer tires are being installed today and it freezes last night. First time in over a year that Ice has formed on the bird bath, ironic.

As you might know I have the MRT axle back system and I also get a drone in the cabin in the 1100 to 2500 rpm range and it can be uncomfortably loud. It is more noticeable under light loads, like in traffic up even a small rise. To quiet it out I have to down shift or accelerate out of that RPM range. The noise fills the cabin and I am not sure of where it is coming from or how to overcome it. This is one of the reasons for the quad tips besides looking good. To help move the exhaust completely out the back of the car, not under it like with the stock bezel. It sounds like a resonate frequency to me.
-
Yes , just the clips and tab area so they don't show and I can get the tips centered.
-
Ok moving to your thread?
-
Started the install on the quad tips today . This is a photo of a test fit of the 3 inch tips. I am going to cut the plastic and the tail pipes so they will be centered up. Unfortunately after I do the cuts there is no going back to stock without replacing the entire rear black plastic and welding on some new exhaust tubing. Adding these tips is a commitment that cannot be easily undone.

They look awesome and thanks for the photos they give me tons of useful info on how to set up my install .
-
Those 3.5 inch tips fit great and look great . I am installing 3 inch quad tips this week and you have me thinking that I should move up to the 3.5 inch tips. I was afraid that the 3.5 would not fit or look oversized. After looking at yours I was wrong the 3.5 works . I hope the 3 inch does not look undersized, I can always change them later.

Installed the LMS 91V3 tune today it has much more power and faster harder shifts than the 91 soft. Like it much better . -
I have been exposed ! Dr. Emmit Brown and I have scrapped the DeLorean and updated the Flux Capacitor. We installed it in my Edge Sport last week.

It was just off by 9 years or so. Lol

Nick, Is it difficult to remove the front like in the photo above . Is it a one person job? And did you post someplace how to do it? I will need to do this to install the new IC.
