  1. The PTU is an acronym that I believe stands for Power Takeoff Unit. It is the Transfer Case for the All Wheel Drive / AWD and moves power to the rear wheels.
  2. Wow, not good You try to take care of your car and this happens. At least they will step up do the right thing and replace the PTU. Man this sucks, sorry for your loss and completely unnecessary.
  3. I also have been looking for wheels and the only ones I have found that fit cost $1,200 to 1,400 per wheel , custom made. To much for me 5 to 6K for a set + new tires.
  4. I want to keep my stock turbos so where did you get your used turbos?
  5. This is great news for as the 3.0 TT moves into the Ford lineup it will be easier to find one for my nefarious purpose. Some of you know I have been looking for a while but have been unable to procure one.
  6. snmjim, when these performance turbos become available will we need to send in our turbos for the core. Or will they be offered complete ? If a core is needed where did you find your used turbos for $300 or was it $300 each?
  7. With 450 AWHP we could be looking at an 11 second car OMG!!!! :happy feet:
  8. Have this going down the Snake in 1:04. The new quad tips make more of a whoosh sound from inside the cabin while outside they still have a growl. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Dc9umPvZIg&feature=youtu.be
  9. I like that satin black. The new design is an improvement and looks great.
  10. Just put on new Pilot Sport 4S tires and a new alignment ran a 1:04 new record! Busted that Ferrari by a full 4 seconds!! Just a review. Stock - 1:18 Add H&R Springs & Rotora brakes - 1:13 Add Tower Cross Brace - 109, best ever 1:07. Here is when I was getting comfortable with the car and that had something to with the time improvement as much as the X Brace Add Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and new Alignment 1:04. That is a 14 second improvement over a one mile course from where I started with a stock car.
  11. Have that covered with a Rotora big brake kit already installed on the front and back. 6 piston 15 inch fronts and 14 inch 4 piston rears . Roots57 and I both have this setup but his are slotted and mine are drilled rotors .
  12. Any update on the turbos. Do you have them back from the rebuild yet ? A killer kit of turbos I C and cold pipe I cant wait...an awesome power combo .
  13. Welcome ?Nice job something different for sure. What is your tire wheel combo ? A stroked motor will up the power for sure .Are you doing any head work? Cams to go with it?
  14. Thats good news. Funny how I went to an old post of yours for weight reduction and it helped us both with different things. Cool
  15. Very rare for me to have more than two people in my car and I think in the one year I have had the car I have only had 3 people in it one time. If I can drop 200 pounds from the car of dead weight it is like adding 30 hp. And I might get better milage .. if I can keep my foot out of it. I have a 7 passenger Explorer for a people mover. So I just might do something like this. I can always put it back at any time and my rear seats will stay like new while in storage. It depends on how difficult it is to remove and replace the seats and how long it takes. In another post Mikula saved over 200 pounds Passenger seat 52lbs Spare Tire 39.5lbs Jack 9.5lbs Rear Cargo Cover (with foam pieces underneath) 6lbs Bench of the rear seat 15.2lbs Passenger rear backrest (has the motor for automatic folding rear seats) 30.6lbs Driver rear backrest (also with motor) 59lbs Good for almost 212lbs of weight loss. I'll take that extra car length all day long... so will I
  16. Confirmed the tips have for the most part killed the drone in the cabin, the ride is much quieter now.
  17. Did you remove the rear seat or spare tire or anything else to reduce the weight? Did you brake to spool up the turbos for launch, if so what RPM did you launch at? Do you have a aftermarket exhaust or any other mods? I am confused did you use the 93 V3 performance tune or a race gas tune ?

An amazing job on the custom exhaust there Mikula . I think you started something with the quad tips and I believe we will see more people adding quad tips to their Edge in the future. Ford might even follow by 2020 on the Sport or the ST it looks so good. Great job congratulations !!
  19. Now I see what you are talking about filling up the space does look good in the photo. And when I look at my 3 inch in comparison they look small. For my taste a 3.5 would have been plenty. But while my car was in the shop another guy had 4 inch quad tips installed on his car, it was not a Edge. They were the ones with the blue tip fade on them and they looked awesome. They fit perfect and made his car look bad ass aggressive. When I saw those tips on his car it had me rethinking mine. I am happy with mine and now others have different combos to look at if they are considering quad tips. Mine at 3 inch , Mikula at 3.5 inch and yours will be the largest yet at ??? It will be cool to see what you come up with. I am sure it will look great when finished because no matter what size you pick, quad tips are a cool upgrade.
  20. KIds around here put a single huge 5 or 6 inch fart can on their ricers, but a 5 gallon bucket... Lol
  21. I am ready for the IC and cold side pipe now please . It is next for me . You are going about it correctly, and I am sure when complete the system will be the gold standard for G2 Edge Sports for years to come .
  22. It is as you say, I can feel the difference in the low to mid range. This is fine with me as it makes the car fun to drive in the canyons and charging out of the corners is tons of fun. In a 1/4 mile drag race it may hurt not having that top end pulling power, but from stop light to stoplight it is super quick.
