  1. JScaro, you are looking at a MRT Axle Back Exhaust System modified for quad tips. I am removing the 3 inch FlowMaster tips and replacing them with 3 /1/2 Stainless Steel tips . The 3 inch tips did not fill up the available space for my taste. The quilted muffler blankets are heat shields that will stop any heat getting into the cabin, even though this has not been a problem. I bought them long before I went to quad tips in the hope that they would cut down on the drone I was getting in the cabin. After installing the quad tips the drone was almost completely gone so I never installed them until now . Because I already had them and the exhaust was out for access to the turbos I decided to install them . If they cut down in cabin noise any I will be happy. I like a quiet ride on the inside but an aggressive sound on the outside.

  3. And so the transformation begins > >>>.
  4. I just received mine today and it is beautiful . Now that all the parts have arrived the transformation will start on Monday May 7. Preliminary tests have shown positive results. Snmjim and Special-K will complete in depth testing.
  5. Just found out the 2018 2.7L Ecoboost in the F150 has been updated. This may help with intake valve coking. I can only hope that this G2 2.7L is in the 2018 Edge as well. "The 2.7-liter EcoBoost also gets dual port and direct-injection, which bumps its torque figures up by 25 lb-ft from 375. And like the 3.3-liter, the 2.7-liter’s torque comes on sooner, peaking at 2,750 rpm compared to 3,000 rpm from last year’s 2.7. Horsepower remains 325 at 5,750 rpm." 6. A great post with valuable information that will help many. As more performance parts become available for the G2 Edge Sport these instructional posts are very important. Thanks for taking the time.
  7. It is a shame that the Facebook guys are not here, you should invite them. They are most welcome, post a link for them. I personally don't care for Facebook too snoopy for my taste. * By snoopy I refer to Mark Zukerburg
  8. I believe they are from a Audi with direct injection just like ours.
  9. The stock compressor wheel is a 40/51mm six blade cast aluminum. The new compressor wheel is 44/57mm eleven blade aluminum billet CNC. There was some machining of the compressor housing to make room for the bigger wheel. The new compressor wheel is bigger, lighter, stronger has more blades and will move more air. While on exhaust side the wheel remains stock. The entire moving assembly was trued and balanced, and the rest was completely remanufactured. I can recommend Comp Turbos in Pomona, CA at this point for doing a great job. By the way Pomona Drag Strip is the home of the NHRA Winter Nationals. Now all I have to is get them installed and see what they can do.
  10. No the blanket has thermal control " covered". LOL get it ... Blanket ..Covered... Ceramic coating is a viable option but I did not go for that.
  11. My" blueprinted" turbos arrived with the blankets installed and they are eye candy. Comp Turbos did a great job.
  12. It has a petcock and a drain tube , makes it easy to empty without removing the unit like others have to do.
  13. I just purchased a TurboSmart E Boost Street Electronic Boost Management System to go along with the TurboSmart Kompact Duel Port BOV. The E Boost Street is a compact unit that will fit in the dash top storage out of sight until I need to use it. When I pop up the storage it is at fingertip ready and looks like it was designed to go there, close the lid and it disappears. It has complete tune-ability and 2 pre-sets one high boost and one low boost for putting around. Cruze the Boulevard with the low boost setting to save wear and tear, then when you need some power push a button and hold on !! The E Street is good for up to 40 PSI. These two items will let me tune the car to it's full potential safely, protecting the engine from a new phrase I learned "Zoom Zoom Boom!" Thanks Special_K for the education .
  14. Here is some good info on turbos and boost control .
  15. Here is an interesting video on Blow Off Valves and why a duel port BOV is the best choice for the Edge Sport. He does not mention that the catalytic converter can overheat when backfiring .
  16. I have returned mine and requested a softer bushing than the 73 . We will see what happens.
  17. Best not to hold your breath on this one, it will be quite a while before I get around to installing it. I have a ton of other projects to do first and some of the parts have not arrived yet to even get started. It will be a transformation of the car when complete . And if you can wait I will post the install . That is unless someone else beats me to it.
  18. OKOk,You got me. I did not want to pony up another $159 on top of the $517. Plus in CA they are illegal and did not need the attention braided hose would bring. One would think that a devise that keeps all that gunk from entering the atmosphere would be encouraged.
  19. Ordered a billet one with standard hose. The braided hose cost to much and is unnecessary bling. Braided hose is great for high pressure or wear resistance. I paid $498.99 + shipping for a total of $517.99. If it prevents things like in these photos then it is money well spent . What is the use of porting heads or a 3 angle valve job if they collect junk like in these photos.
  20. Just ordered a billet one with standard hose . Get yours here: http://teamrxp.com/products/2010-2017-ford-edge-27-35-dual-valve-system

    Oil Change?

I just bought two 5 qt jugs of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5-30 for $24.97 each on Amazon. And Pennzoil has a $10 rebate on right now, $2 per QT so each jug only cost $14.97 thats $3 a Qt. You can get up to $20 bucks off now through July. This oil has a Natural Gas base and out performed the gold standard Mobil One in tests . This is a report from a lab compares Mobil One at 3k miles and Pennzoil Ultra at 5K . . The Pennzoil had less metals in it and gave better results than the Mobil One even though it had 2,000 more miles on it. $14.97 for 5 qt + $6.07 for one qt + $7.67 filter = $28.71 for a pure synthetic oil change.
  22. Yes mine is off but not as much as yours , I have changed my mind I am going to return it. The IC they fabricated is flawless and is a piece of art. Too bad about the RMM.
  23. Mine is better and it looks like you did get a bad one. They need to watch their quality control. I was told the durometer was a 73. On mine the holes are off by only a few thousand's but it should be with in tolerances, it could be better as well. Also the sides are not perfectly parallel, it is so little it is hard to see in the photos. The welds look good and the bushing is centered. It appears that the only problem is with the U bend and the holes for the bolt. I will give it a 95 out of 100 and will go ahead and install it. The flaws are too small to hurt anything.
