I have the MRT Axle Back system and it could fit the ST. Check with MRT to see if it will fit before buying it. Click on the link below for more info. Quad tips are also an option.

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?

Thank you. This country is so big while we burn in the West the East is ready for snow and people are prepping their cars. And I am safe but just a short distance away from the fire -

Local fires have divested the canyons that I run for entertainment. Dry grass and brush burn with flames driven by hot dry offshore winds blowing 40 to 60mph. All it takes is one spark and it all burns. No, that is not an Atomic Bomb. It burned everything in it's path all the way to the ocean I run this road often. The smoke is so bad at my house that it blocks the sun and it is snowing ash. -
Report it to the Better Business Bureau and contact Ford to report the shop. You caught them but how many other have been ripped off by these criminals. Don't stop at making them just do what you paid for.

As 48 volt systems come on line the starter motor could transform and become a starter/ alternator / power adder and could add 25 to 40 HP on demand. And electric assist turbos will make boost more like a supercharger. So many ways to make cars better by just moving to a 48volt system.

If it is the next generation Edge the G3 that has the RS badge they might as well put the 3.5L EcoBoost in it. If it is the G2 Edge that carries the RS then use a variation of the the Lincoln 3.0L TT. It will need well over 400HP to honor the RS name I would hope for closer to 450hp, any less and the magazines will pan it as nothing more than a marketing gimmick. If Ford makes a true hot rod RS Edge I will be very interested in owning one.

My turbos are not stock and the OEM HPFP cannot deliver enough fuel to the motor for the mods I have made. The correct way to go is a better HPFP but at this time there are none for the 2.7EB.
-
I started thinking about the fuel starvation problem and a possible way around the HPFP, just a thought experiment at this point. The new Gen two 2.7 EB has port injection as well as direct injection as used on the new F150. I have looked at prices of Gen 2 , 2.7EB intake manifolds, upper injectors and fuel rails. The cost of these items is way less than a custom HPFP. There are a few things I do not have a handle on though. I have not found a port injection fuel pump if there is one, and I am not sure that the upper injectors are actually located in the manifold and the wire harness. If the upper injectors are not in the manifold then this exercise is over. Control and programing are also things that will need to be addressed but this has been done before on custom 3.5EB engines by LMS. Control and programming would need to be addressed with a new HPFP anyway. If this is a feasible bolt on way to go then the port injectors could supply all the fuel ever needed and gain the benefits of washing / cooling the intake valves . Any ideas?

I only removed the louvers that were over the FMIC and kept the louvers that are in front of the radiator. There have been no codes or check engine lights. The sensor is still in place plugged in and the louvers over the radiator still work as original .

2016 Edge Sport (G2) Front & Rear Sway Bars
Xtra replied to snmjim's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Check first with the contact on post # 48 page 3 of this thread to see if more can be made. Then someone like you will need to get 10 to 12 people to commit to bars for a second batch. -
My first post #1 in this thread I talk about sending in a photo of my paddles to the vendor. The vendor told me Ford makes different size paddles depending on the country the car is for. Sorry you got the wrong ones. Anyone else looking to get these please take note.

I see you received some double sided tape for yours that I did not get with mine. So far I have not needed the tape as the set screws are working fine. Congrats, let us know what you think of them.

In the December 2018 issue of Chevy High Performance magazine there is an article about a Chevy Big Block crate engine. The engine is the Chevy ZZ454 from Chevy Performance sporting 440hp and 500 ft pounds of torque at the crank. It is installed into a 67' Chevelle with a 700-R4 transmission. When this combo was put on a dyno it produced 344HP and 372 TQ at the rear wheels. For a little prospective, my Edge Sport made 348HP and 394TQ AWD - WHP with a 91 tune. Thats 4 more HP and 22 pounds more TQ than the ZZ454 V8 Snmjim's car made 386HP and 415TQ AWD - WHP. Thats a whopping 42HP and 43 pounds more Torque than the Chevy ZZ454 Big Block V8 did ! And thats with a 164 CI EcoBoost V6 ! :happy feet:

How about adding the paddle shifters to the list?
-
Swapping out the stock silver set screws for black ones would help with the finish product .
-
Just got into the car after it had been sitting in the sun and those paddles were hot!!
-
I was able to test a little with them but not in the canyons. With my hands on the 10 and 2 of the steering wheel it is very easy to shift. As Roots stated before where reaching them only with the pinky now they are in full reach and easy to shift. They look great and if the transmission would respond instantly and not a second later they should have been OEM. So far I give them a thumbs up if just for looks. alone. I am sure I will be paddle shifting much more than in the past and I will be able to adjust for the time lag on the shifts. They stay out of the way of other controls like windshield wipers and are clear of the steering wheel.
-
Just completed the install. It was easy enough and took around 10 min using the tiny set screws. I first started the screws before I put the paddles in place then had to tighten them each a little at a time. I went to each screw several times until they were evenly adjusted. If you try to tighten up one screw fully before the others the screw will just pass through the paddle and fall out the other side. The kit included 4 extra set screws. The paddles look and fit good and I hope they work as good as they look. I will road test later.

Not sure, no clue. Although I can think of a joke I can't post.

I thought I would try out some shift paddle extensions. I have found the stock paddles to be useless unless going in a straight line. As soon as I turn the wheel my hands are nowhere near the stubby stock shifter paddles. These will not help with how fast the car responds to my input, but I am hoping the extra length will help me in the canyons where I drive for fun . They are about 6.5 inch long, made of good quality aluminum and have a nice finish. The + and - are in white and could be better but are clear enough to see. I think they cost around $50 or so. I will have to find the site link again, snmjim sent me the link originally and I will give a review once installed and tested. The box included both up and down paddles and some set screws to attach them with. They come in assorted colors as well. *I had to send in a photo of my stock paddle as there are different ones depending on what country you live in... Or so said the supplier. I hope they fit

I have not noticed any difference in sound.

Just found out today that the Edger ST will have AWD disconnect and a new computer.
