V and H are speed ratings . For a high milage tire look at the UTQG number . 100 is the standard control tire used for life of treadwear. If the UTQG number is 300 on the tire you are looking at then that tire will have treadwear 3 times the control tire. 500 means the tire will have 5 times the treadwear of the control tire. So to make it simple get a tire with the highest UTQG number you can for maximum tread life . 300 is a good solid number some tires get 650 ratings . for more info on UTQG look here https://info.kaltire.com/utqg-ratings/

There is a lot of fake news going on about this new crossover. I posted this V8 info a few months ago and now the latest scuttlebutt is it will only be available as an EV . This is unfortunate for people that were hoping for a mid size 2 row V8 muscle SUV. The info has been changing so fast who knows what it will really be and what power combos Ford will offer. I am sure that in 2 to 3 months there will be more info leaked. Real or fake it builds anticipation .

Snmjim, thanks for all the info and the video. With that exhaust your car sounds mean and healthy. Loud, but not loud enough to set off car alarms . I like it ! . As usual you have out done yourself . You have accomplished something that Flowmaster, Borla, Magnaflow and Walker have not or will not do and that is to bring the first ever high performance true cat back exhaust system for the G2 Edge Sport to market. Good on ya . Others have made custom one off cat back systems but this is the first that is just a phone call or click away. Have you noticed any drone or increase in NVH ? Any seat of the pants performance or milage increase ? This system has to perform better than stock because after all an engine is just a fancy air pump and moving air is what it's all about. As for my leg, It is slow going and I am getting better every day. Thanks for asking. The cast will come off on June 4 this Tuesday . I will still be restricted with little to no weight bearing for awhile. It won't be long though before I can walk again and get back to the project and get that buck cast . I am looking forward to that day. Oh! almost forgot could you give the contact info on how to obtain this system? You may have already done this but one more time please.

Super nice job on that exhaust as well as some great photos . This is by far the best set up on an Edge that I have ever seen. The design and execution is top shelf. Just a few questions if you don't mind. I might have missed it but what is the diameter of the pipe? And I am wondering if those are two mufflers that I see in line, if so can I get some more info on them. Like the size, make and model. Thanks.

I found these renderings ( artist concepts ) of the new Mustang inspire SUV . Sadly, the Mustang SUV is expected only with an electric drivetrain. Thoughts of an SUV with Mustang looks, and a 460 horsepower 5.0-liter V8 are in vain. This is contrary to early news that stated that it would have all but the most powerful Mustang engine combinations available. Reports also claim that Ford will offer two electric drivetrain variants in its Mustang-inspired SUV. One powertrain will offer over 300 miles of driving range with the other offering as much as 373 miles. Rumors also suggest there will be a high-performance version of the Mustang SUV. Details on the new electric SUV with Mustang style are expected in November with an on-sale date said to be sometime in 2020 as a 2021 model. All I can say is if it is electric, why does the rear view have exhaust pipes ? I know it is just a rendering ..

Best floor mats for 2016 Edge?
Xtra replied to RCQ925's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I have the Weather tech. -

My condolences to you and your family. Really sorry to hear that.

Thanks for the info turns out I over estimated the DA it was only 4600 feet and 100*F.

91 pump gas, full tank with spare tire and jack , 100F, DA over 5,000. 91 Tune. Last Year first time at track. I was trying to get to the track all winter in hopes of getting a better day with lower DA a 93 tune and race gas on a 1/4 tank without the spare and jack. But it was a very wet winter and the track canceled the Wednesday Night Street Races. I am posting this as I am out of commission for a few months and the weather is getting hot again so there is no reason to race with a super high DA and high temps. I know the car has more in it and I have made some more mods to it. Perhaps if I get lucky and they host a street race day I will be able to race in the fall and then we will see what she is capable of. Until then here is my time slip when I raced the BMW M4.

When you say the X pipe made more of a diff what do you mean? was it louder or what?
-
No I haven't, but I think you are talking about something like this. Look into the vacuum activated ones, word on the street is heat gets to the electric ones. I was at a shop where someone had just installed some on a turbo BMW . There was very little difference in volume as the turbo acted as mufflers. The owner myself and the installer were surprised. Also he already had a cat back system that was loud to start with. Good luck and go for it .

Seeing a 3 inch custom made one off down pipe in something that is not an Edge is a long way from from a Down Pipe that is designed for the G2 Edge Sport. And not just one, a full assortment of them. Down Pipes with Cats or High flow Cats or no cats at all. Everyone of them offered in the color of your choice or just plain. And snmjim has brought this to our community. Not a custom one off , a full on engineered product that is jut a click away. I am running a custom one off part on my car now and bringing it to the next step ( production) like snmjim has done with several products is not to be underestimated . It is a massive undertaking. So thanks to snmjim and all I can say is. I hope your PTU can handle all that torque you are going to make and what's next ??

I have been out of commission for a bit so I am just getting around to responding now. Thanks for the info, I have done a follow up with your leads and have come up empty. There was a rumor that someone had installed a EX DI HPFP in a 2.7EB F150. Though it is believed to fit the Edge as well as the F150 no vendor was willing to take that chance. The closest I got was "I will sell it to you but don't blame me if your engine blows up." -

Couple of weeks ago I went to an auto show at Galpin Auto Sports. They were celebrating an agreement with RTR and Vaughn Gittin JR for custom Mustangs. Vaughn was there and I was able to talk to him about HPFP for the 2.7EB . He said that he believed that all the pumps are the same for but a shim was needed for the cam of the 2.7 EB. Vaughn sold all that he made to Xtreme DI ( around 100 units ) and told me to contact Uwe @ Xtreme DI for more info on obtaining one, I did and have had no response. Here is a short video of the event enjoy. 4 Ford GT's in one place amazing. -
Hello and welcome to the forum . I made a set of these a long time ago that even had a port for the stock sensor unlike the ones you show. At first I thought they were great but when tested fully they failed big time. As long as I just went around the block and the engine was cold they worked fine. As soon as the car got warmed up the under hood temps were off the chart and the engine started throwing warning lights and had a huge loss of power. The air under the hood is way too hot and thin for this type of intake. Been there done that Hope is not lost, things are in the works. Special_K and snmjim have set up a page that you should find very helpful. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/24317-the-ultimate-27tt-aftermarket-parts-thread/

I have a MRT set up and it is axle back.. A full cat back system on the Sport would connect directly to the downpipes. Here is the thread on the MRT system. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22741-mrt-axle-back-exhuast-for-g2-edge-sport-awd/ I would be all over these downpipes if not for strict California smog laws. We have different cats/ downpipes then the rest of the world. Calif cat downpipes cost more and I am sure are more restrictive in the name of clean air.
-
I would discuss it with my mechanic. And to prevent catastrophic damage later when the engine is under stress.
-
The main reason for me to invest in this part is the magnet. Having a magnet is a great way to check the health of the engine at every oil change. The magnet is strong enough and I am sure it will catch whatever ferrous metal bits are in the oil. For now it will just be a refrigerator magnet as I just changed the oil 2 days ago.
-
Just received the UPR Drain Plug . Here is the unboxing. The part looks very well made and is as advertised.
-
Looking at both videos I have come to this conclusion . Because the Ronin drain hole is in the middle and not at the bottom you have to raise the front of the vehicle to try to get all the oil out and if you misplace that little adaptor then you are SOL. Chances are you will not be able to empty the pan completely with the Ronin device. You will have to remove it completely anyway to check the magnet. The UPR drain plug will let the pan drain completely on flat ground and raising the front of of the vehicle is not necessary. Because the plug is removed to drain the pan the magnet can be inspected every oil change. My money is on UPR.
-
The site listed for the drain plug wanted $19.49 for shipping to Calif. I found it here with free shipping and no tax. Try code SIXOFF to get 6% off the price. Not sure if the code will work but it is worth a try. I just ordered one. https://lmr.com/item/UPR-3025-01/mustang-upr-billet-oil-drain-plug-3025-01-15-19

G2 Edge Sport- Strut Tower Chassis Bar Brace Ladder Set
Xtra replied to Xtra's topic in Accessories & Modifications
The hard part is getting to the rear bolt as the space is very tight . onyxbfly has a 2013 G1 Edge and the install is different for him . If you don't have the tools or do not want to do it yourself then go ahead and let a pro do it. This is much more difficult than installing the catch can and you should use a torque wrench. Some of the X braces are not the same as mine and may have polishing flaws or may not be stamped or etched like mine. I found that the Addco rear sway bar works great with the strut tower X brace and the H&R springs.
