  1. Bilstein lists B6 front struts for the Edge now, part # 22-283108 for the Right front, and 22-283092 for the Left Front. Is this what you are referring to? The rears are listed as part # 24-283113 - Rear 4600 Heavy Duty B6. Bilstein states these are the same shocks and struts that are used in NASCAR Super Trucks, SCORE, and Pro-Truck competitions. Am I missing something here?
  2. Lol, I have prepped my car for an invatational track day at Autoclub Speedway, and those new tires I f bought in July are about to get tore up !. If Bilstein ever makes a matched set of B6 dampeners I will upgrade.
  3. It is best if you can run without the spacers and still have clearance, but some people like the look of wheels and tires sticking out some. I prefer to have everything even to keep mud and water in the wheel wells and off the side of the car. I still would like to see some photos when you get around to it.
  4. One set of Perrelli Scorpions, OEM, 8K miles, and Two sets of Michlin Pilot Sport 4 tires at around $1600 per set about 21K miles for both sets. I have gone with a bargain brand this time that cost me $545 installed out the door ( 265/40R21 ). They ride nice and have a good grip, better than the OEM Scorps, though not as good as the Michlin's, they are still good enough to run the canyons and have fun with. Now I can rip through about 3 sets of these for what one set of the Michlin's PS4 cost, and not rip my wallet apart . LOL
  5. Can you please post some photos of your car with the new rims and tires. I am interested in fitting my car with 295 tires as well. Can you included all the rim specs... manufacturer & rim name - size - offset - cost - and tire size 295 by 40 or 35 or? Do they fit well, or rub anyplace, or stick out beyond the body? Thanks.
  6. Just installed new tires .. again. This is set # 4 in just over 29,000 miles, that's almost 10,000 miles per set. Changed the motor oil and filter, I also had a 30,000-mile service and flush to the Transmission and PTU to finish the job . Filled it up and added some octane boost , put in the hot tune, and took a nice test drive to Malibu.
  7. My Turbosmart: TS-0203-1281 is a duel port BOV, and it is as quiet as the stock BOV. I have not noticed any difference in the sound. I did not install mine for the sound anyway, I did it because I needed a precision valve that actuates exactly the same every time. Before I installed this aftermarket BOV sometimes my car would lose boost when going on and off the throttle on tight twisty roads. I would lift coming into a corner then there would be no boost when I wanted it coming out of the corner. It was like there was absolutely no power at all. The car would slow down fast throwing you forward in the seat then build boost push you back into the seat and accelerate. Not a good thing when you are doing precision mountain driving at speed.
  8. Induction cleaners like that kind that drip or spray into the intake have been known to cause problems with EB engines and can damage the turbos. There is lots of info out there on this subject, but this link gives a good rundown of the problems with induction cleaners and carbon build-up in EB engines. https://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/12/induction-service-cleaners-can-damage-ford-ecoboost-engines.html
  9. I can get over there and talk to them in person . They are about 2 hrs away so I will set something up with them before I go. Real busy now so give me a couple of weeks to get 'er done.
  10. No need to reinvent the wheel. if you have the skills snmjim and I both have posted a how-to on the CIA subject here at the forum. Check out these links. This first link will show my entire mod and how I did it. My mod is in two parts, 1 a mod to the grill air intake, and 2 a custom made fiberglass sight shield. The second link is to snmjim's air box and it is all you need for a great CAI.
  11. tyyrael , I built this years ago and It was a big fail !! The underhood temps of the 2.7EB Edge are so extreme that it actually took power away. When everything is cold upon startup it works great, as soon as the car gets up to temp and everything gets heat soaked power drops way off and warning lights come on. Snmjin and I both have answers to the CAI problem, but getting these items into production is difficult.
  12. Good question. Perhaps because the Sport is no longer in production. It would be nice to include Sports in ST gatherings.
  13. I agree with Gadgetjq Battery Tender is the way to go when not driving the car on a regular bases . Here is a link for more info.
  14. Fantastic write-up with clear instructions and proper photos. A nice upgrade with good bang for the buck.
  15. The oil pan is plastic and it mounts to aluminum. Because of the different expansion rates of the two materials, a leak can appear. It is critical that the dealer follows the manufactures instructions to the letter in order to do a proper repair. If they rush the job or cut any corners the new pan will leak. Beware of dealers coating the entire oil pan with great gobs of RTV, that is not a manufacturer-approved repair and is a temporary fix at best. Here is a link to a Ford notice on the subject. It is super important to give the RTV time to cure before use. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10164418-0001.pdf
  16. ADDCO Part # 2452 1.125 It is an easy swap. Please check the link I gave you for the locks that work with the sway bar. Contact Addco directly just Google Addco.
  17. There are a few things that you can do. I found that adding a strut tower cross brace to my 2016 Sport helped immensely with steering in tight canyons. I had more control with less effort and the car would take a line better under load. You can also add an Addco rear sway bar to your car and some H&R Springs these three things will transform how your car handles. I tested these items by timing myself through a portion of the Mulholland Snake. Stock, the best I could run the top half of the Snake in was 1 min 14 seconds. After adding the X brace, springs and swaybar the time dropped to 1 min 4 seconds. That is 10 seconds and 14% faster up the hill I am sure that adding summer tires to my car also helped some. You can find all of these items here in the Ultimate 2.7TT Parts thread.

    New ST-Line

Perhaps this is old news to some, but it is new to me, so I thought I would share it. In short, Ford is introducing the ST-Line to bring the looks of the Edge ST, but not its price or performance, to the standard Edge. The model includes sporty-looking body cladding, an ST-style grille, more aggressive side skirts, a set of gloss-black 20-inch wheels, and requisite ST-Line badging (so no one confuses it for a real ST). Like almost all other Edge models (sans the ST), the ST-Line relies on a 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four for motivation. Those horses are routed to the front wheels by way of an eight-speed automatic gearbox. All-wheel-drive, however, is an option. The Edge ST-Line will likely do the trick for those who care about looking like they drive a sporty crossover. If you prefer value and sporty looks over actual performance, then this might be the Edge for you.
  19. So far there has been no problem with water intrusion, or any other problem for that matter. The hack works fine and as far as wind tunnel testing goes it has had real-world testing for over 17,000 miles now. I have had the car at 80mph in driving rain. And in 30mph street traffic when it is raining so hard the wipers have trouble keeping up. As well as undergoing numerous car washes. Through all this there has never been a problem with water intrusion. The car has been at over 110mph at the track and no problem. The insulation is fine and is as solidly attached as the day of install. And like snmjim I have made a CAI part that needs to be manufactured, it will work as a stand-alone part or in concert with snmjim's intake for the ultimate CAI for the Edge Sport /ST.
  20. I don't know if the rear side windows can be preset. You can adjust the rear liftgate to open to a preset height. This is accomplished by opening the gate to the hight you want then hold the close button down until you hear a beep.
  21. In a turbo car the fuel you use is important. The higher the octane the more power you can make without knocking. If you have an ST try 91 or 93 fuel you should feel a positive difference over 87. A LMS performance tune with 93 will make a ton more power and accelerate way faster than running on 87 with no tune.
  22. It might have a bit firmer shift, other than that driveability is not affected. If the shifts are to firm they can be softened, no problem. The LMS tune is great for every day driving.
  23. . Yup, booze will do that to you. Glad the brakes are working well for you. Looking at your video they work great.
  24. The JLT can is a plug and play kit specific to your vehicle . It is easier to install than changing a tire. You will need a wrench or socket set and a screwdriver. If you plan keep the car for a few years do it now !
