So took a test drive in a new 2016 and 2017 Edge sport and here are my impressions -
I like all the features of the vehicle. Driving it has good power and firm ride, very planted on the highway. Around town bumps rock it a bit but it doesn't get to where it's bouncing all over.
Some gripes I have are
Major - Steering wheel is angled too much to my liking, after 15-20 minute test drive my shoulders were complaining from trying to hold the wheel. Tried adjusting the tilt/telescoping but just couldn't find a spot it felt good. I usually have found for my build I like where the wheel is not angled as much and closer to straight up and down. The Edge isn't the only car I have had this issue with, be nice there was a way to adjust the angle of the steering wheel.
Odd noises - both the 2016 and 2017 had noises from rattles, to groans and thunks. Wind noise from rear door area. I know some people find their Edge to have no odd noises and others have said they hear them but was disappointing.
Minor - Touchscreen and controls can be a far reach and some of the hard buttons are small, Heated seats had a loud fan noise, checked and ventilated seat was not on, had to shut it off completely to get rid of fan noise. Also the ventilated seat on full is very loud.
Overall it's a nice car with a lot going for it, just not sure I would be able to live with it due the steering wheel angle and if rattles/noises happen.
