  1. I didn't even think of that, but yes, make sure its not just the lane keeping assist kicking in. I cant stand it, if you try to switch lanes without signalling while its active, it fights back and if you aren't ready for it, could cause an accident.
  2. Tires in 21" are indeed way more expensive, but even the Pirelli P-Zeros I have are about $400 each (still ridiculous). What tire is $700 each in 21"?
  3. I'm also curious to see if anything more came of this issue. It sounds like it could be an alignment issue. If the front tires are not aligned properly, and are essentially aiming in slightly different directions, the car can feel like its pulling in one direction or another, based on which front tire is dominating at the time.
  4. I also think that 17" would be too small. Also, you may want to be sure to always put the stock wheels back on the car when bringing it into the dealership for maintenance. They may consider your warranty void with aftermarket wheels, especially if you go with a wheel size not offered by Ford. I contacted the dealership about my warranty and they told be any aftermarket wheels I put on will void the factory warranty. I ended up going with the same Ford 21" wheels they offer as optional for the gen II edge sport.
  5. I changed my 245-50-20 wheels/tires to 265-40-21 and the 21" tires are slightly smaller in diameter so technically my odometer is now slightly off, only by about 1%, but that will add up over time. Is there a setting to adjust for your tire size to make sure the miles driven are registering accurately on my odometer?
  6. I really didn't think it was a stupid question, and I made it known the research I did beforehand wasn't exactly clear. I joined this forum for the same reasons as most people...to participate in sharing knowledge/info. Your comments were completely unnecessary, but I apologize for the GFY...now lets get past this
  7. ok thats what I thought. Thanks for the reply
  8. I did research it myself (made quite obvious by my listing the two main turbo manufacturers for ecoboost engines) but couldn;t find a definitive answer. Asking questions about a ford edge on a ford edge forum shouldn't surprise you so GFY and stay off the forum if you don't want to see questions.
  9. Who makes the turbos on the 2016 Edge Sport 2.7L Ecoboost? Is it Honeywell/Garrett or Borg-Warner?? or someone else? I cant seem to figure this out and its driving me crazy. Can someone that knows for sure please clear this up for me?
  10. Just look on eBay. I got mine from a guy who will paint them any color scheme you want. I had mine painted to match the ruby red/piano black paint scheme and they really set the car apart from the rest, along with my gloss black painted wheels. My emblems did set me back $140 for the pair, but they came out great. I can put you in touch with the guy if you want.
  11. I've been looking for rear end mud flaps for my 2016 Edge Sport for awhile now. I also bought the OEM front mud flaps from the dealership. They have not produced a rear set that fit the Sport, which is very annoying! Also, the front ones don't fit as well as I would have liked, but they are probably better than any other 3rd party mud flaps. You will need to drill a hole in the wheel shrouds to install the fronts, so be prepared for this.
  12. from what I can see, all the interior bulbs are fixed LED's designed to outlast the car itself, since none of them are replaceable or are easily accessible. kinda limits your options for interior lighting changes without really digging in.
  13. Has anyone tried to change/replace any of the interior lights in a Gen II Edge? More specifically the driver and passenger reading lights, or rear seat reading lights? I bought some new LED bulbs that I thought I could put in, but now I don't think its possible. I took the moon roof/reading light control panel off, but I think for the Gen II Edge they decided to use permanent LED's. The only way it looks like they can be changed is to break the RF welds to get into the individual light housings. I'm pretty sure the Gen I edges have type 168 bulbs everywhere, but maybe not in the Gen II ?? Does anyone know more about this or have any help to offer?
  14. Has anyone actually had any luck getting Ford to replace tail light assemblies simply for condensation? Please reply to this if you've tried and what the outcome was...and if the replacement lights also had condensation appear. I've had condensation in almost every car I've owned in the head or tail light housings so I'm wondering if Ford considers it a relevant problem that requires replacement parts. Apart from it being annoying and looking lame, its never caused any further issues for me, not even with light bulb lifespan. I agree that they should be sealed better. I do understand they need to be ventilated, but that can be done using tiny holes placed where water will not easily enter.
  15. These are RECON LED puddle lights I just installed. They come in blue, red, green, and white. Made for F150's, but same part number as the Edge, and probably all Ford models with puddle lights in the side mirrors. They are so much brighter than the factory incandescent bulbs, even in the colored options, so they are a great option for custom accent lighting. Kind of pricey at $80 per set. www.gorecon.com
  16. From the album: 2016 Custom Edge Sport

RECON LED Puddle Lights (made for F150's) but fits Edge '15-'17
  17. Whats the best method/material for tinting tail light lenses a bit. How much does this cost from a pro shop?
  18. thanks again for the tips. you weren't kidding about those 3 fender screws on each side, the furthest one in took forever, there's just no room to turn the ratchet. removing the headlights definitely made it easier. worked out great though. check out the pics if you like.
  19. Finally installed my custom FORD emblems on the grille and rear hatch.
  20. Thanks for the direction. I have all the tools I would need, including torx so I should be able to do it. Any tips for removing the bumper? i.e. hidden screws or anything I should know about? How long does it take to remove? Thanks again!
  21. Its not easy to do any mods like this to the front end. I'm going thru the same problem now with my brand new 2016 Sport. I just bought custom painted Ford emblems for the front and back and apparently to get the front emblem off, I need to remove the bumper and grille first. Please keep my posted if you find reliable instructions on removing the bumper cover. I am thinking of just buying the service manual, cost about $60-$70 online. good luck!
  22. 2016 Edge Sport - Just got these delivered today. Had them custom painted to match the Ruby Red on Black theme of my car. I hear the front emblem is a real S.O.B. to remove. Is there anyone who can give me instructions on how to get the front emblem off before I spend $70 on a service manual? Apparently this requires disassembling the bumper cover and grille. I want to do this right the first time. Any advice on putting these on will be greatly appreciated.
  23. Damn, that sucks, that's for confirming that though...any links or instructions you can offer me? At this rate I might as well just have a proper body shop do it for me if it is that in depth. Although I'm pretty good with working on cars so maybe I can do it myself if I can get some decent instructions from someone, we'll see. Thanks again.
  24. I can't image that the whole bumper cover needs to come off in order to remove the grille Ford emblem. That cant be right. Anyone else have any experience removing the front emblem off a gen II Edge? I can see that it might involve removing the grille, but the bumper cover??
  25. Has anyone had the Ford factory hood protector put on an Gen II Edge (Lund Aeroskin)? I'm wondering if its better than a traditional smoked acrylic bug shield and if so, why? I'd love to hear peoples opinions on what they think is the best hood protector. I really cant decide.
