  1. The back one looks correct for a 2016 anyway. I am really surprised that they are different for 2017 Have you taken off your rear one yet? So you can compare them. And the front one looks right too, . What makes you think they will not fit and are different for the 2017 model?
  2. Damn...got the email from CARiD saying my springs are back ordered and the new ship date estimate is July 14th
  3. I am having this recall service scheduled soon, I just got the notice in the mail stating that replacement parts are now available. Anyone else had theirs serviced for this recall yet? I'm curious to see how it turned out and how long it took them.
  4. Where did you get the Cilajet done, and what was the cost? Or did you do it yourself? I was looking for a superior paint protection or wax that I could apply to my paint. Although I no longer need to worry about road salt during the New England winters, the SoCal sun is not so nice to auto paint and I'd like to start protecting it with something better than just carnuba wax.
  5. Put on the gloss black finished exhaust bezels (red was hideous). No more chrome to speak of of the exterior, just red and black.
  6. I'm also running the 21" wheels with P-Zero summers. Regardless, the 20" tires with 50 sidewall are pretty much the same outer diameter of the 21" with 40 sidewall. A more direct measurement is always from the wheel center axis so that the tire size/wear conditions aren't part of the measurement. As Xtra has shown with his, the drop will probably turn out to be slightly more than what is advertised, about 1.375" in the front and almost 2" in the rear. It looks to be the perfect amount of correction to the stance and wheel well gap.
  7. Good score! wish I saw that before waiting 2-3 weeks. I should have mine sometime next week if I'm lucky. I'm curious to see how consistent the ride height change is from car to car with these. I will measure mine before and after. I'll measure the tire to fender gap like Xtra shows in his pics, and I''ll also measure from the wheel center to the fender and eliminate the tire from the equation.
  8. Should I expect these to ship to me directly from Germany or you think they will go thru CARiD first?
  9. I also did my Edge and Sport emblems in black plastidip with the glossifier topcoat and I am very surprised how well it is holding up, still looks perfect after 6 months. I was skeptical of it at first, but that stuff definitely has its uses. I would never use it on wheels, or the whole body of a car. Its just too soft for that and can peel too easy. It reminds me of that flexseal crap you see on infomercials lol.
  10. Sounds good man, for sure. I'd love to check out your edge. I'll let you know when I'm going, probably after my springs get installed so I can test them out on the canyon run.
  11. damn, you are doing pretty much every mod available for the gen II edge huh! looking forward to the follow up posts. I'm in LA, south bay area, is that supercar sunday worth the drive to check out? probably 45 min drive for me.
  12. I don't like it at all...I'm going to re-wrap them in gloss black. They should still be noticeable as exhaust bezels against the matte black plastic of the surrounding body, but also match the other gloss black trim of the car. $11 worth of vinyl and a man hour or two is all it takes. Vinyl is great for certain things...its nice to try stuff out on the cheap that is easily reversible
  13. Finally installed my body colored exhaust bezels...still not sure if I like it or not though
  14. ok cool thanks! Enjoy your new ride height!
  15. Hopefully I don't have to wait like almost 2 months like you did. How much is the installation costing you?
  16. They are supposed to ship within 2 weeks according to my receipt. When I asked if they were in stock just before I ordered them, they told me that they were made to order. Not sure I believe that though. I would think that H&R is a big enough operation to do regular production runs for retail distribution. But on the other hand I've had no problem getting refunds from CARiD in the past when things went awry on an order. I'm glad to know they will price match including free shipping. Now the Tire Rack has 7/15 as next available ship date for this spring kit so hopefully I get mine way before then. I'll update this post when I get them.
  17. Hell yes. CARiD price matched, just got them for $237 all in
  18. CARiD.com has them listed for $279 and I'm trying to get them to price match the Tire Rack price of $239 with free shipping fingers crossed...
  19. of course Tire Rack is on back order for the springs now. Everywhere else they are at least $50 more. $233 is reasonable, so I guess I'll just have to wait. I cant seem to find them anywhere else with similar pricing. If anyone does see them, please let me know where so I can buy them asap.
  20. appreciate the info...now at least I know when someone is trying to overcharge me...I'm sure I'll post pics of before and after as well...looking forward to the change for sure
  21. who put your springs in? I guess any suspension shop in my area could do it for a couple hundred in labor?
  22. Can you please post pics of the trimmed rear splash guards? I've always wondered if I should try to trim the rear set to fit the Sport body, or if it was possible at least. Hell, even the front ones I put on don't fit very well in my opinion.
  23. Sorry to jump in here. I think I'm going to order these H&R springs for mine. I've always disliked the wheel well gap and have always wished it was a little tighter or "sportier" handling wise. This looks perfect. But as with most mods, I wonder how the dealership will treat my warranty. I guess the rule of thumb is that as long as the mod is not a direct result of a problem, it wouldn't affect my warranty? In other words, say if a turbo goes out, they cant say "you altered the suspension so your warranty coverage of the turbos is void" right?
  24. I'm in Los Angeles and I've still got my 20" wheels with Hankook tires that only have about 1,000 miles on them. Essentially they're brand new. I bought the 21's right after I bought my car and just kept the original set up. I'm really not looking to trade since I already have a set of the 21's, but I'd be interested in selling them outright.
