What "history" do you have with that new engine? Mine has 31K miles on it now and has never needed topping up between oil changes - it remained at the top hole on the dipstick throughout.
-
That sounds like the check valve (non-return valve) in the vacuum hose is not installed or not working - if its working it allows for the "storage" of vacuum in the brake booster housing, and utilizes that reservoir with no impact on the manifold vacuum. I'm not familiar with your model, but some have the check valve at the end of the hose where it is inserted into the brake booster.

Looks like the forum is still screwed up !!!! Get this error message when attempting to download the PDF.

Jack points and jack stand placements?

Do you have directional tires on your Edge? -
The first thing that came to mind when I saw the photos was that it was very bad amateur install of some cheap third party sensors. If your insurance covers OEM parts, then make sure that's what the body shop used - it doesn't look like they did. Just went to look at my 2017 rear sensors and they don't have the protruding rings.
-
Wonder why these failures don't appear to plague the Edge.
-
Just curious to know if the 2.7 has an EGR valve and if any of you have defeated it. A previous vehicle I owned had this, and it would foul the intake and throttle body.
-
Judging from the below, you're not using that Furmoto on a 2.7L Edge. All they show for the 2.7 is valves with 12mm-1.75 Threads, so they're not actually for the 2.7 https://www.fumotooildrainvalve.com/?target=model_product&modelId=567599
-
I'm also keen to hear this, as I didn't know or expect that they have one for the 2.7L
-
That's what I guessed, but wasn't sure, and in that case it's not really what this thread is about, i.e. the longevity of the plastic drain plug and its O-ring.
-
Id didn't word that too well (now edited) - I meant to ask if his 2009 has the plastic drain plug.
-
How many oil changes have you done with the plastic piug and O-ring ?
-
Do you have a plastic plug on your 2009 ?
-
I've got 31K miles on it and done six oil changes, most by myself, and have no issues with the original plastic drain plug and its O-ring. I have a new one on hand just in case I find the need to replace it at one of the oil changes in the future.
-
Ask a place like AutoZone to do a load test on the battery - if the battery passes have them check the charging system, and do the same if the battery is replaced.

$40 on CarFax When I recently purchased a 2015 vehicle privately the seller paid for the CarFax report. BTW, most of its impeccable service history done by one particular dealership, was not reported to CarFax - he got copies of each service from this dealership.

I expected a "Long Block" to ship with the pan. Hopefully with them having good access they can do a through prep job and seal it.

Mud Flaps - Guards for 15-17 Sport trim

That's the same eBay seller that NoDTMF posted. Did the holes line up? I would like to see more photos showing the mounting. When installing the Ford front mud flaps I had to drill one hole on each side, but the plastic rivets are all through existing holes in the mud flaps. -
@omar302 Thanks for the additional info - what is your backrest cooling performance now, ...... same as the seat bottom?

Nice find. They look better than the Ford front set that I currently have installed, which does not match the Sport trim profile, even though Ford list it as a Sport part. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22129-mud-flap-splash-guard-oem-or-3rd-party/ -
Here's a good deal on a good quality oil. Mobil 1 5W-30 Extended Performance Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5 qt. $25.47 Less $12 Mobil rebate. Limit 2 rebates per household. Myself and many others have also had umpteen miles and plenty years of trouble free motoring attributed to the choice of oil, whether it be Mobil, Valvoline, ...............etc.

Best of luck with Ford Corp and getting it sorted, and its highly unlikely that they'll find any cause to refute warranty seeing as all the work to date has been at their direction by authorized dealerships. I've had my Sport for 1.5 years and haven't heard of any major endemic issues with them - what are the concerning things you're reading?
