  1. Do you have any reliable sources confirming that?
  2. I can confirm that it is an 11mm hex socket that's needed - I had a metric set that I bought a while back in preparation for this job, then on the day found it lacks the needed 11mm and I ran around to all the stores in my area and none have an 11mm , not on its own and not in a set, so in one shop I grabbed a digital calliper and found an imperial set and the 7/16" was a good match so bought that set. The 7/16" is a very good snug fit. Brake job went smooth, the rotors needed a beating to break free of the corrosion. Can't comment on braking performance just yet as I've only done the break-in, but can confirm that it got rid of the vibration/drone when braking at 60mph and above, and they look good. Complete front kit order on Amazon for $170 (retailer is Jeggs) and two day shipping from the manufacturer in Chicago IL - goods received in perfect order.
  3. Congrats on your purchase. I would also look at going back to the stock air intake, which will actually draw in COLD air vs that intake drawing in warm air from the engine compartment.
  4. Just visualize that weatherstip coming off, and it'll be pretty obvious where the muddy water thrown off the wheel is going to go, the areas I've outlined. Also seen in the attached photos is the inner seal, and with that in tact there's no way water or debris, or noise is going to make its way inside.
  5. I don't believe that's correct - when mine was hanging it allowed all the mud to foul the inside of the door. No difference in wind noise when I put it back in place.
  6. My drivers side was hanging down and allowing mud to get past. I pulled it clear, cleaned all the crud out the groove, cleaned it and the metal surface with brake cleaner, squeezed the seal a little with pliers, and its been holding tight for three months now. Agree, poor design.
  7. It has a one-way vent to allow pressure to build when hot, and not allow it to draw vacuum as it cools, ........ to prevent collapsing the coolant hoses, and drawing in dust/dirt into the coolant pump seal.
  8. Yes, if you want to ensure that the dash accurately displays the correct wheel, then each tire rotation needs a re-learn procedure. You can do the re-learn using a device, or by partially deflating each wheel. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PNP9SVB/?coliid=I33UYEY6ZPLL0X&colid=7FQZRUTL8DOG&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it EDIT: Learnt from @omar302 that no tool or procedure needed - all automatic.
  9. Ublock took care of that banner for me. I also use Ghostery - blocks all the trackers. Ghostery Makes the Web Cleaner, Faster and Safer! https://www.ghostery.com/
  10. I ordered and bought mine from my local dealer when I was abroad because he had one in stock in the color I wanted ( I'd never sat in an Edge, let alone test drive one). Dealership picked me up from the airport and straight to collect the Edge Sport.
  11. I have a few concerns with that style, the sintered filter once wet with oil, which won't take long, will present a air/gas flow restriction and from then on its going to be less effective and increases the potential for crankcase pressure to increase. If I was to use the compressed air filters, I'd drill a few holes in the sintered filter and wrap it with the course pot scourer. The other odd thing is the size. Catch cans like the JLT rely on a gas/air flow direction change with gravity, a course filter like pot scourers, and a housing that will promote condensation - low gas/air pressure drop. Also, those compressed air filters are really cheap - don't know what Steeda charge, and if they make any modifications to the standard air filters, but is doesn't look like it. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-1-4-in-Air-Compressor-Filter-HDA70403AV/100027474 This one with a higher cfm rating and metal bowl at $26 would be a better option compared to the Steeda. https://www.amazon.com/EXELAIR-Milton-FRL-Mini-Filter/dp/B01MEGKUIK
  12. Anyone have experience with the Steeda Catch Can? The one in this image just doesn't look right to me.

Personal opinion is that once that sintered filter is wet with oil, it will no longer allow free air/gas flow and has the risk of the crankcase pressure increasing
  14. The latest forum update trashed the saved profile photos, and the new image insert arrangements aren't very smart. I reduced the image file size and frame size, but the entering tool doesn't allow you to display the whole image.
  15. Good info to have in your profile.
  16. With the 4th July discount coupon, you can get a set of 4 Atturo for $499.77 https://www.simpletire.com/atturo-265-40r21-az850a7flaafe-tires
  17. The PTU cannot be turned off. The prop shaft to the RDU will always rotate as long as the PTU is installed.
  18. Any pictorials or video on how to change the plugs. On my wife's 3.7L Mustang the intake manifold needs to come off, but even so it's a fairly easy job.
  19. Typically engines with variable valve timing do not need an EGR valve - the cams can be positioned to achieve the same.
  20. I've also been getting the rebate for a few years now, and have also received the rebate for oil bought from retailers other than what Mobil list, and the past two years I've been buying at Costco when the 6 pack cartons go on sale, which is my preferred package seeing as our engines use 6 quarts. The latest is the rebate arriving in the form of a printable check, which I then deposit using the banking app on my phone. I have an alert set on https://slickdeals.net which prompts me each year to watch for when Costco puts this oil on sale, and then buy my years supply. https://slickdeals.net/f/13019146-costco-mobil-1-full-synthetic-6-quart-packs-16-69-after-rebate?attrsrc=Test%3AHideExpiredSearch%3AControl&src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1 Costco currently has the 6 quart packs of Mobil 1 marked down $10, this can be combined with the current Mobil 1 rebate of $12 and get you 6 quarts at $2.78/quart. While this is a bit more per quart than buying jugs its still a great deal for people who prefer individual quarts over jugs. $38.69 per 6qt pack -$10 Costco discount -$12 Mobil 1 rebate = $16.69 or $2.78 per quart Limit of 5 per household https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mobil-promotions/mobil-1-rebate-2019
  21. Did you look on their web site? JLT 3.0 Oil SEPARATOR Passenger Side (2015-19 Edge Sport/ST, Lincoln MKX 2.7L EcoBoost)
  22. 8 miles on mine when I took delivery, but I doubt thats a real number seeing as my window sticker reads "Method of Transp. CONVOY".
  23. The 21" wheels are a factory option on this model, with the standard being 20", so post a photo of your wheels and we'll be able to tell whether you have 20 or 21".
  24. My buttons on the top right of the steering is what I use to switch source.
