  1. I did the first oil change myself at 3000 miles mainly to get it switched over to full synthetic early in its life.
  2. I just bought Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance Auto Wax and will report back in a few weeks. I work at a power plant, and in certain climate conditions and the emission control equipment not working as it should, my Edge gets acid rain which has etched the clear-coat. I might look at getting the hood wrapped because the etching is the worst on it. What's odd is my black Harley paint hasn't suffered the same.
  3. After viewing this video, I think I'll stick with more frequent waxing.
  4. When my Sport was a few weeks old I saw the oil covering my pan, and reading the reports on here I was worried, but it turned out to be the oil solenoid near the main crank pulley - my pan has been bone dry since the solenoid was replaced.
  5. I believe the consensus on the RDU oil change can be found in the post directly above yours.
  6. If this was a scheduled outage you'd expect that it would be announced and done mid week.
  7. This is what I find in my JLT 3.0 can after around 500 miles. I can't resist checking it when I check my engine oil level.
  8. Doing a little cleaning today and when I got to clean under the hood I noticed how butchered the plastic rivets and surrounding area is which can only be the Ford Collision centre that did the light replacement. You'd expect them to have the correct tools for this, ........ I have at home.
  9. Direct interpretation: you don't have the facts to back up your claims. All we can hope for is that you stick to your word and leave it to the U. S Government.
  10. After umpteen posters advised you to take it to a competent dealership service centre, that dealership eventually learnt how to bleed brakes systems that include ABS. You say the issue is corrected on your vehicle - does that mean they have changed the "coating on rear internal disc brake partsļ»æ" ?
  11. Come now, you made the claim, you back it up. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1&q=loss+of+brakes+on+a+ford+edge Point out which of the search results draws attention to "Seems there is an Issue with "coating on rear internal disc brake parts"".
  12. Looks like @akirby was right all along. I'm lucky to have a few Ford dealerships to chose from and use one that is +30 min drive from the one closest to me, because of poor service from the one closest to me when I took a company vehicle to them.
  13. I'm not seeing any conclusive evidence here, and its not good etiquette to cross post the same thing all over the forum. Cant you post some evidence with links etc.?
  14. Its does - I'd get it changed if it was mine - might not be that easy, as the claim would be that's the latest trim. Great looking ride and really like that blue - it's almost like my wife's Mustang deep impact blue.
  15. @WWWPerfA_ZN0W has previously confirmed that all 2015+ models have the drain plug. We have also seen differences between models - one model has cooling fins, which are not seen on the Sport.
  16. Is that the root cause of the PTU failures?
  17. I also use Costco exclusively, and when I travel I seek out Top Tier stations mostly Shell. The detergents clean the fuel system, and it results in less combustion chamber fouling.
  18. My last company Ford Fusion had a set of tires installed at Big-O which were close to the lowest priced they had, and they were damn noisy, couldn't distinguish whether the noise was from the front rear or left. Big-O did the alignment and check balance, and the noise persisted on the highway. When they had about half life I got the Ford dealership to install a set of tires and the noise was completely gone
  19. I'm sure it does, seeing as my 2017 does, but of course your owners handbook will confirm. I push the wiper stalk forward to spray and wipe the rear window.
  20. The PCV system issues are not limited to GDI and Ecoboost, its just exacerbated with those technologies. On a natural aspirated port injection, the PCV causes combustion chamber carbon build-up which is to some degree self regulating, but some of that carbon is driven into the piston rings and ring lan's - defeats the objective of using only Top Tier Gas. I use the oil trap on our 2015 3.7L V6 Mustang, 2017 Edge Sport, and 2008 Harley Nightrain [Harley vented to atmosphere].
  21. I haven't bothered with any of the modes, but can confirm my experience with my 2017 Sport is much the same as yours, rock solid at all speeds [only been up to 100 mph for short distance a few times]. Steering feel couldn't be better for me.
  22. How's the ST going, and have you decided the "next steps"?
  23. As far as I know its to do with the fact that the passenger side vent pipe ties into the intake downstream of the throttle body, so it sees vacuum at closed or very low throttle position, drawing the crankcase vapours in.
  24. Looks like its only available for Sync2 I'm keen to get map updates for my nearly two year old 2017 Sport - my home and a few of the new roads in my city aren't on the existing maps.
