Great, and the first picture shows the port for "Sensor 2" downstream sensor that the OP is looking to confirm.
-
I see it, but can't tell if its after the first CAT - the Front/1st O2 sensor is immediately after the exhaust manifold, and these days the 1st CAT is also very close to the exhaust manifold.

I trust that you no longer seek advice from him. I recall that there was improvements made on the later models, where the pump leak path is outside the engine - maybe others more familiar with this model can confirm.
-
It is the one after the first catalytic converter - cant tell clearly from your photo.

You're welcome, although history suggests that its not too obvious. -
Why is this site servers so unreliable ?
1004ron replied to 1004ron's topic in Forum Help & Site Suggestions
If I was paying for it, I'd be having a serious discussion with service provider, making it clear that I'd be looking at alternate providers. -
Out of the 4 auto forums I frequent, this one is the most unreliable - so often down and no notice that its under maintenance etc.

Rotors & Pads..Power Stop, Stoptech or EBC?
1004ron replied to ThugFordEdge3.5's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
I don't use a torque wrench on my wheel lugs, and I don't believe the lug torque could cause the rotor warp - Mine warped at around 35K miles. I installed the Z23 brake rotor and pad kit seen in the below thread - $169 on Amazon, seller was Jeggs - shipped directly from the maker in 2 days - got about 4K miles on them now and they're great - no vibration when breaking at high speed, and good grip. -
Comprehensive List of Possible Forscan Mods?
1004ron replied to ben senise's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Gear # indication. A while back I drove a rental Expedition and it showed gear position all the time - is there a way to do the same on the Edge? If you use the paddles it will briefly display the gear # that its just shifted to - is there an option to have it display gear # at all times? -
The bold part - isn't it the opposite? Would have been great if you could replace the filter on this model.

SYNC3 Map Updates Available On Line
1004ron replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Just a few months after purchasing my 2017 Sport new, I got a Sync3 update free, and a couple more free Sync3 updates over the past couple of years - using your reasoning, shouldn't they have charged for that? At the time of purchase the maps were around three years old - yes I can get by with them, but its not unreasonable to expect more frequent map updates (free or paid). -
I've had my Sport for 2.5 years but never set up this keypad, mainly because I didn't think I'd ever use it, but this thread perked my interest. When do you guys use this keypad?

It could be a number of things, parasitic draw, battery failing prematurely, ...... With it being new , my suggestion would be to have the dealership do a parasitic draw test and a battery load test. You could also get the battery load test done at free at places like Autzone, and at least you'll know before heading to the dealership.

SYNC3 Map Updates Available On Line
1004ron replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Last week I was downtown and the new NA 1 18 map had the extensive road works and flyovers covered, in addition to my home address - pleased with the update, but disappointed that my 2017 that shipped with way out of date maps, and this update wasn't free like the 2018 and 2019 models. -
Cleaning wax off black plastic parts
1004ron replied to 1004ron's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
Be very careful with those, the "Magic" in them is abrasive and will damage textured and gloss finishes. The Warning Label Melamine foam erasers work well; but on surfaces that are painted, polished or easily scratched, they might work a little too well. It's recommended to test the eraser on a small, preferably unnoticeable, portion of whatever you're looking to clean before you dive on in. https://www.wired.com/2015/09/whats-inside-mr-clean-magic-eraser/ -
Cleaning wax off black plastic parts
1004ron replied to 1004ron's topic in Appearance - Detailing, Wash & Wax
I've read that and tried it, and can confirm that it "works", but for a very short time - the oil just masks it for a little while. I've found a small firm brush with detergent or mineral spirits to be the most effective long term solution, followed up with frequent use of 303 UV Protectant -
Not sure if you tried the search function? https://www.google.com/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fordedgeforum.com+water+pump+internal+leak&rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS769US770&oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fordedgeforum.com+water+pump+internal+leak&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.12382j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=active&ssui=on

I'd recommend the same. I did multiple drain and fill just last week at 46K miles, and each drain was a fraction over 4 quarts. I used almost 12 - 13 quarts - last quart was used to top off and get level exact.
-
Best price, and even better when on sale like Memorial Day, fast order processing and delivery. I recommend them.

Thanks @omar302 I'll just install the new tires and take a chance with the existing TPMS sensors and valve stems. I've still got to find a local installer for the Aturro AZ850's that I bought a while back when they were on special with Simple Tire.
-
That's my experience with my 2017 Sport. I have another question, I'll be replacing my tires soon at 50K miles and 2 years 9 months - should I replace the sensors at that time, or at the next tire replacement around 100K miles 5.5 years? Google suggests the sensors are good for 5 to 10 years.

I think non-interference engines are very scarce these days, .......... maybe a Tesla ?

That looks like it's road debris stone chip, which mine has a few. I frequently inspect and touch those up.

Thanks for the update.
