  3. Not sure if its the same as this M/Y, but the below post will show how to get access to the attachments inside.
  4. I also suggest that you take a closer look at the PTU.
  5. It's an 11mm and couldn't find one in my area, so I used a 7/16" is a very good snug fit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004W80ESO/?coliid=I313I9IFF7QEMR&colid=7FQZRUTL8DOG&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  6. True, absolutely nothing wrong with selecting products like this on personal preference. All I'm doing is drawing attention to the false performance enhancement claims by some of these manufacturers, which have no real technical or engineering basis. A very typical example is some, not all, that install "cold air" intakes which actually draw hot air from the engine compartment directly behind the hot radiator, and placebo has the driver 'feeling" an incredible power gain.
  7. You're not really seeing any real world performance effect of an air filter with claims of a higher air flow rate capability because that will only come into play if your engine is drawing in air flow rates exceeding the rating of the stock OEM paper filter, which would only be heavy acceleration at Wide Open Throttle. The throttle response will not differ between filters while the nominal air flow is lower than the point where the filters present a flow restriction.
  8. Just got an alert on the Ford app saying that there's a Sync 3 update for my Sport. Anyone know what this latest update is about? Only thing I see is Waze traffic alert support.
  9. Something about that is puzzling me, and maybe you could explain it. With the good mileage numbers you're getting suggests that you never go anywhere near wide open throttle, so the intake air flow must be much lower than the point where the stock or performance filters would present a flow restriction/pressure drop. Is the objective better fuel economy, or to squeeze out a little more power at wide open throttle?
  10. I mistakenly created the impression that I think our Ford Edge's are unique in their depreciation - all in this category are subject to that kind of depreciation. I haven't looked into that in too much detail as I don't plan on selling it for a very long time - it's my daily commute and looks and rides like it did when I bought it new 3 years and 52K miles ago. I'm fortunate to enjoy my ride everyday, .......no garage queen.
  11. "To Keep Miles Down On The ST" - I understand your intentions, but for me I enjoy my long commute to and from work in my Sport and don't consider it viable to preserve a vehicle that is not an exotic that appreciates in value as it gets older. Check the KBB on the Edge models and I'm sure you'll be as shocked, and disappointed to see how rapidly they depreciate.
  12. Do you have record of that? Without that you don't stand a chance of them covering it now.
  13. Why cant you post it here, or in the other thread on the same topic?
  14. Just an update for those that may stumble on this some time in the future. It took three days to clear - leaving home in the morning it was clear, then at lunch time the condensation showed up standing in the warm sunshine - the amount decreased daily until it was gone on the fourth day. I've also gone through the car wash since and no issues. When this happened we had record high temps for winter , 60 ~ 70 degF, freezing temps at night, with higher than normal humidity.
  15. I'd say its fair for them to ask that you allow some time for it to clear on its own, ....mine did. I've read elsewhere that if it establishes a level like yours, its a candidate for change, and if its only one section of the three then it would suggest a leak (not the breather). One thing I've learnt is to ensure that warranty related queries between you and the dealership are in some written form - for that I email the service manager, who has worked well with me. If you have some form of proof that this issue was flagged up prior to the 36K mile, use that and stay on Kia Corp. if the Dealership is still playing hard ball.
  16. The lubricant in the old bearings may be dirty, but doesn't look like they're worn out, at least not in a condition that would cause thumping - maybe the rubber cushions are bad?
  17. As you've guessed after opening the originals, that spacing is normal. For that kind of thing I use a good water proof grease.

  19. Doubt anyone here is going to have anything to offer of value to you.
