  1. Replacement hoses and fittings are on their way to me - I'll report back after I install it this weekend.
  2. Not sure if its possible to change the run time with Forscan, but the owners manual describes how you can extend the run time using the remote.
  3. Unfortunately no response from the email sent to robertlane The only workaround we're left with is to add this info to our signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  4. Where do you live and what anti-ice products do they use on the roads? What model, year and mileage? - that would indicate whether you have any chance of Ford assisting, and even then this type of thing isn't usually cover by warranty. In areas that use aggressive products on the icy roads, you need to clean the road grime off frequently or it will start the type of corrosion you're seeing which is usually impossible to restore by hand. Please add your location and Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  5. Thanks for that update. I found it difficult to believe that the hoses could be the culprit as they still appear as new condition. I sent JLT an email last night and had a reply early this morning. also a phone call - they offered to send me a new set of hoses - amazing response from JLT. https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/2015-2019-edge-sport-lincoln-mkx/
  6. I'm doing an oil change this weekend and will search for loose or broken hoses, but recall the first time I smelt it was shortly after the catch can install.
  7. Have you taken it to the dealer yet, and if so what was the outcome? I have the same smell, which my wife remarked was the smell of gasoline, but having emptied the JLT catch-can many times, the smell in the garage is the same, so I'm convinced its not gas. Because its the same smell as the contents in the catch can, I've checked the cans O-ring and the vent hoses and all appears in order. Looks like the F150 guys have the same issue and possibly the hoses supplied with the catch-can. https://www.f150ecoboost.net/threads/catch-can-smell-anyone-solve.11201/page-2
  8. Welcome - please consider adding your location and vehicle Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ What you describe sounds like a bad FOB battery, so I would suggest that you check the batteries in both FOB's with a multimeter
  9. Best you tell us what you've tried or tested and the results to save others making pointless suggestions.
  10. When I bought mine I tried it but after about a week I turned it off and haven't used it since. I've not once tried the parking assist.
  11. The dealership is closer to my work than home, so stopped by on my way home this evening and picked up my free Valet key. It worked perfectly. Now have my factory keyless entry code saved - the code on the card inside my owner's manual pouch is ***0* and the number displayed on the dashboard is ***9*, which of course is one and the same thing with the door keypad. For the method for displaying the code on the dashboard - I pulled the valet keys out of each FOB and placed them in the holder with the buttons facing up and the end where the valet key goes facing forward - tried other orientations and this was the only way that worked in my Sport.
  12. The owner's manual states that you can get the factory code from an authorized dealership - I'll try another dealership, and if they respond the same I'll get another key cut. Follow up from the service manager: I'd be surprised if Ford does not make the code available through authorized dealerships with the necessary proof of ownership. Waiting to hear how long it would take to get a key cut using the code. Edit: Dealership called to say he's cut a valet key for me using the code I provided and he's reasonably confident that will get me into the vehicle - free of charge.
  13. What response were you getting with those LED's? I ask because I added switchbacks to my wife's Mustang and the dashboard indicator light would do a double beat, even though exterior were working at the correct pace - I disabled the lamp fail detection using Forscan.
  14. That one was also a used lease, but if it did in fact come from the factory like that it would be even more of a mystery. He doesn't report back on what the Dealership eventually did with the light bar, and they could possibly have corrected it. If it was bought new and the owner discovered it and it was in the model's spec. then Ford would have to make it right. BigBerky , how confident are you with electrics and electronics skils, are you 100% sure that its a non-illuminated light bar?
  15. Thanks, Sent my dealership an email request for my factory code. Thank goodness I have alternate wheels for work tomorrow - my wife's away so I can use her Mustang, and its way too cold to use my bike.
  16. Damn, I wanted to set the drivers door code and had difficulty with what I thought was the factory code attached to one of my keys, and that wasn't working so I tried the procedure with both keys in the car, and had difficulty with that also and in the process I got out the car and as I closed the door it locked, ........and now I still cant unlock it with what I thought was the factory code. Will the Dealership be able to help me with the factory code? Looks like I'll be using my wife's car to work tomorrow. The attached photo is all I got from the Dealership - I assumed the code was 10778, would that be correct - if it is, then I'm not using it correctly.
  17. Understood, but resorting to conspiracy theories isn't a good direction to go.
  18. That is highly unlikely - if Ford actually did that, it would make it a "custom" build, which is more costly, even if it was to remove a feature.
  19. Having done a fair amount of hobby electronics I'd assess the function of that Printed Circuit Board and possibly repair it, but with the tightly packed surface mount stuff these days repairs are way more difficult. You could try find a local electronics repair place who might be able to diagnose it for you. You could also post clear photos of both sides of the PC Board and we might be able to tell what its meant to do and offer some advice.
  20. Must have bought the Orange stuff before it became obsolete.
  21. Does this happen only after filling up with gas, or at all times? I ask, because I used to top-off when filling up and it would do that whenever idling for the first 10 miles or so, and with my cheap OBDII device it showed no codes. Recently I bought the OBDLink MX+ and it showed an old stored code related to the evap. I've not had it do this since I stopped topping-off.
  22. The connectors for the Third Brake Light and the Light Bar are at the top of the lift-gate near the Third Brake Light. I cant find an electrical schematic, only the attached showing how to access the connectors. Liftgate RI.pdf
  23. I know you've got that in the thread title, but to avoid repeatadly being asked, you could put that detail in your your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
