Edge turns over several times, doesn’t start,,,
1004ron replied to kapk22's topic in Accessories & Modifications
You could get lucky throwing parts at it, but could also get unlucky and it doesn't resolve the problem and waste money - statistics show that a non-diagnostic approach ends up costing more money than it should. Where did you "read up on this"? What valve in the pump are you referring to? - pressure regulating valve, or a non-return valve? If it was a failing fuel pump, why would it only happen after she fuels up? -

If you have an extended warranty, then yes it is covered. The standard warranty ran out at 60K miles. A new PTU costs around $700 and then you need to add labor.

I'd try another store or Ford Dealership and have them scan for stored codes, because without that as a diagnostics starting point you're left with guessing. Mine spluttered when idling every time after gassing up brim full, and no codes showed up, .....then I got a top of the line OBDLink MX+ which has free downloads specific to Ford, and its app and Forscan showing that there was in fact a stored code related to the evap valve. Just further guessing, it could be a bad evap valve - something that wouldn't cost anything to try, next few times only fill up to about 3/4 tank and see if there's a change. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JFRFJG6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 About this item Turn your iPhone, Android device, or Windows PC into a professional-grade diagnostic scan tool Recommended adapter for FORScan, Torque, BimmerCode, Dashcommand, AlfaOBD, Carista and many more Enhanced Diagnostics: read (and clear) manufacturer-specific codes and access live parameters on a wide range of Ford, GM, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota vehicles More Data OBDLink MX+ supports GM-LAN and Ford-MSC proprietary vehicle networks that provide access to thousands of additional parameters that are off-limits to all other wireless OBD scanners, including BlueDriver and FIXD. ? I got NGK Ruthenium, and you said you got Iridium.
-
I checked their gaps and they were what the book specifies, and I would not attempt to re-gap them.

Moved to appropriate section of the forum. I recently did the plugs on my Sport, and would consider $325 a fairly good deal. I used the NGK Ruthenium plugs.

Depends, is it a 4 or 6 cylinder? Please add location and Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/

Yes, the Battery Tender are a reliable brand, and yes you should keep the tender connected whenever the vehicle is going to stand for a week or more - no issue with the vehicle electronics. They are safe to stay connected indefinitely.

Yes, you can buy the light bar and both tail lights from the models such as the Sport and Titanium, and program the Body Control Module to get the light bar working. Your light bar on the SEL isn't supposed to work if its still stock from the factory. All models only have three brake lights, two on the sides and one above the tailgate window.

Its was moved from the forum help section and left me with a wild guess as to what engine was being discussed. The below bold text in that section doesn't seem to attract much attention.

Mobil 1 oil rebate program
1004ron replied to mrmikesdeuce's topic in Dealership & Vendor Experiences
For the past few years I've bought the 6-pack when on special at Costco for my rebates, but this year I bought 2 X 5 quart jugs on special at Walmart for a $30 rebate. -
The ends are spring-loaded and engage in recesses in the side plastic trim just behind the rear seats.

Edge sways all over the road above 70 mph.

If the dealership has driven it and experienced what you're describing I'm surprised that they were unable to diagnose it - I would take it to another dealership. -

Tail light Condensation

Or you could just stuff a few of the silica gel bags inside the tailgate cavity and that way the light bar vents will draw in dry air. Just don't use the DampRid stuff that creates a pool of fluid. https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Packets-Premium-Desiccant-Dehumidifier/dp/B00BP2ZJ08/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=Premium+Pure+%26+Safe+Silica+Gel&qid=1617233178&s=home-garden&sr=1-7 -

I the four years I've owned my Sport it happened only for a few days in the same week when we had very unusual climate changes, so I haven't bothered trying to find a solution. What about attaching a tube to one of the existing breathers and run it into a container of desiccant? -
I doubt anyone here has disassembled the tensioner to confirm the bearing number, so best you disassemble yours and have an industrial bearing supplier match it up.
