  1. @Cerberus Just checked mine and it has the same part number. If I suck on the valve with no power on it seems like its shut pretty tight, but the problem could be that it's not opening correctly.
  2. What video? I tried that, and still get the stutter at idle with a full tank. I've not cleared the code, and will only do that after my Dealership has scanned it as part of the warranty check. I'll soon have a warranty replacement from my Dealership and will report back once its installed. Not sure why the sales sites are reporting that the part number is for a 3.0L
  3. This is the latest version part number: Part Number: GL3Z9B325B https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/75109745/GL3Z9B325B.html Non-OEM https://www.amazon.com/Support-Bracket-Purge-Valve-2015-2017/dp/B08PDD9TNW/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=GL3Z9B325B&qid=1633295220&s=grocery&sr=1-1
  4. Not sure if they're suited for tuned models, but the ones I installed about a year ago haven't given any issues, but neither did the stock original plugs, and I haven't pulled one to take a look. 5. A quick lube shop? Many "budget" oil change places are notorious for using the wrong oil filter and/or the wrong oil.
  6. Do a forum search. If its the Cleveland engine with those symptoms the solution is not simply a gasket replacement, but an engine replacement.
  7. Where did you get the oil changed? Not wise to drive with it with the low oil pressure light on. What model and year? - please add that to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ What mileage?
  8. Most dealerships won't allow any more than that amount on a credit card. I highly recommend the below card - its 2% cash back on everything all the time, not like others that offer the cash back on certain purchases for a limited period - I use it for a statement credit. https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/citi-double-cash-credit-card
  9. I completed the brake hose recall and a brake fluid flush today. The rubber glove on the fluid filler defeats the caps breather and limited the amount of fluid mess - with the old hose removed there was no dripping of fluid. For the flush I use a home made pressure bleeder and my oil extractor vacuum - the vacuum isn't really needed, but it makes for a no hassle, no mess.
  10. Correct, and some diagnostics should be able to identify it. Running a fuel system cleaner in a couple of tanks costs very little and can do no harm, and could clear a fouled injector. Seeing that one foreign incorrect spark plug makes me cringe, and conjurers up an image of a drunk redneck shade tree "mechanic" working on it - a clear sign that its been abused. 17Ville2.0 what's the mileage? Do you have the service record? Did you research its history on places like CarFax?
  11. Why? I have 71K miles on my Sport, and expect my ignition coils to last more than twice that - if the time comes, I'll only replace a component like that if testing confirms its failed.
  12. No, just awkward, especially if you have big hands and fat fingers like mine.
  13. Thanks @clegg78 I plan to fill the reservoir leaving very little air then put the cap on with a mechanics rubber glove to stop the caps breather from allowing air in - that should significantly reduce the fluid loss/mess. See attached picture of the goods I picked up from the dealership.
  14. Any pointers for this job? I plan on sealing the master cylinder reservoir cap while I remove the hoses to limit fluid loss introducing air into the system. Want to avoid air in the ABS unit. With the new hoses installed I plan on a fluid flush which I've been holding off until the hoses are replaced.
  15. I contacted my dealership and they have a limited number of the parts. I'll be collecting the parts this afternoon and return the old parts for the dealership to claim from Ford NA. If you're on the waiting list, best call the dealership because they're unlikely to call you.
  16. 18. No, the error codes aren't displayed on the dash. I had an occasional misfire immediately after gassing up, and suspected the evap valve, but no codes, then a few months later I upgraded my OBD device to the OBLink MX+ and it showed that I do have a stored evap code. I then connected using Forscan and it too identified the evap code. What code reader are you using? It is highly unlikely that there's no codes stored after a total engine shutdown. No, a restart does not clear codes.
  19. Not sure what you mean by that bold part? The error codes will be saved, even if the engine starts normally again. You may be able to loan a reader from Autozone, but OBDII devices are so cheap these days it well worth having one in your tool chest.
  20. That is most often overlooked - I have a good few of the inconsiderate types on my morning commute, blinding the oncoming traffic. I don't see the website you mention.
  21. Best get the stored error codes read - that will be a starting point in the diagnostics. What year, what model, what engine - good idea to put that in your signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  22. You wont find LED's with the correct focal point, so will be blinding the oncoming traffic. More likely to get HID's with the correct focal point.
  23. I gave the same advice to my friend, but the only way Ford would consider any form of compensation was for him to commit to covering the bill of a strip-down and diagnostics, and he wasn't prepared to risk paying that and the price of a new engine. He got a new long block from Ford and an independent service shop installed it.
