Ford Support | Emissions Defect Warranty I changed mine at around 5 years and 75K miles and didn't give any thought to emissions warranty, but reading that I'd expect the evap purge valve should be covered.

Engine wants to stall - Code P1450 & P144A - Evap Purge Valve
1004ron replied to shumax's topic in 2017-2018 Edge & MKX
F0RDM0M yes, mine was past 60K so on Premium Care until 100K. It will be covered under warranty. Mine hasn't hickuped once since I installed the new purge valve. -
"Seems like a lot of waste" would be a personal opinion, but interested to hear how you came to that opinion. A quick forum search should answer your other questions.

More surprising is the number of people that buy that kind of thing.

Don't think an extractor will work well on the 2.7, but you should be able to extract just a little if the tube diameter is no greater than the dipstick width. Fast, Clean Oil Changes - Edge ST - Ford Edge Forum

Good(easy) way to check transmission fluid level?

Wouldn't that apply to just about every brand out there? -

Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade kit, $550 obo
1004ron replied to enigma-2's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
That's a good deal, but I'd be concerned with it shipping from China, but most likely safe seeing some of the positive feedback left by those that have purchased this kit. I paid $1,300 for my wife's Mustang, and that included a new controls panel/bezel and tech support - I can put any interested parties in touch with this seller. -
For the PTU I would go for one of the top rated ones in the below list, which is for 75W90, but still a good guide for 75W140. I've been using Royal Purple and Redline but considering a change to Amsoil, oil Mobil-1

You should still have the bumper to bumper 36K mile warranty, and if so, let Ford fix it.

Just stick with the oil you're using, or any other good name brand full synthetic of the correct grade specified in your owners manual. Not sure how long you've been around automotive forums, but "oil threads" are in abundance, and its typically the same as "how long is a piece of string?"

Fluttering Noise from Undercarriage and Dashboad Rattle
1004ron replied to CCMAYES72's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
@bhamraS97 I wouldn't take the covers off - it offers protection to things like the brake and fuel lines. I applied the foam washers and new fasteners as per the Tech Bulletin and as I commented in this thread it didn't silence it for long. I recently used zip ties and the buckle of the ties keeps the plastic posts cocked to one side and I believe that's going to keep quiet for longer.- 84 replies

The ones I received in Feb 2021 are Gates, so surprised if they sent something different to you at around the same time. See the photos I posted in this thread.

Mine is odor free and climate change, freezing temps, have had no impact on that. I would have continued use of mine even if it meant living with the odor.

Mud Flaps - Guards for 15-17 Sport trim
1004ron replied to NoDTMF's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Ford does not have front or rear mudflaps for the Sport, and the Ford front mudflaps I used were not a good fit as can be seen in the above photo. The front and rear set bought on Amazon are a perfect fit. Amazon.com: A-Premium Mud Flaps Splash Guards Compatible with Ford Edge 2017-2020 Front and Rear Only Fit Sport Model 4-PC : Automotive -

I'd have to do more searching, but I recall reading that there's certain restrictions on programming the IPC to prevent manipulation of the odometer, such as only a new IPC can be programmed.

Stability control system worked great today
1004ron replied to enigma-2's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
In the five years of ownership I've only had the stability control kick in once when on a sweeping bend that had a patch of ice. It kept me on the road, and took a good few miles for me to catch my breath. The ABS I've had kick in often. -
