  1. Yes, the second warranty replacement windshield is scheduled for installation on 6/21 at 3pm. I've remained cordial with them and they have been very pleasant to deal with. Its really puzzling me how this came to be - I can't imagine the factory would sell "seconds".
  2. What's the mileage? What is the service history? What oil change interval, what oil used, what oil filter used? The camshaft position sensor code is often related to the CVVT oil control valve getting fouled by sludge, or worse a badly worn timing chain. As I mentioned in your previous thread, it looks like you use poor quality service shops and this might be related to your current problem. 3. I thought this windshield saga was behind me - been through the car wash twice and this mornings drive to work in the rain and no leaks. This afternoon while in the drive through line at Jaggers I noticed a distortion in the glass on the lower left corner and when I got home and took a closer look its most definitely a flaw in the glass and there's about a softball sized area that shows signs of buffing. Must be a factory reject. Back on the phone to Safelite in the morning.
  4. I've done that a few times, and a couple of those times was just a week ago while installing my new 3rd brake light - no issue with mine since.
  5. Has this forum really been abandoned by the owners?
  6. What's your location - the lemon laws differ from state to state. If you haven't been keeping detailed records, now would be the time to start, and contact Ford NA yourself and get a case number from them. 7. I find the computer MPG and total miles remaining on the tank isn't very accurate. My daily commute is about 60% interstate at 75 mph and 40% secondary roads at 60 mph and the computer indicates 21 MPG, and way back when I manually calculated it was actually around 20 MPG. A little spell of spirited driving will drop it down to 16 MPG and if I slow down and do 70 mph on the interstate I can get around 23 MPG. I've got 92K miles on the clock and the fuel consumption is unchanged from when it was new.
  8. Thanks @Haz The thickness that I'm looking for is only available in white on McMaster. Is there any chance you have a Ford part number for the original tape? I could find some but not for the 2017 Edge: https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Ford_2017_Edge/Spoiler-Seal/53047445/9T4Z78021A46A.html
  9. I didn't use that doc, but surprised that the Ford service manual doesn't even mention the lube on the slide pins.
  10. With the good motorcycle weather, I haven't used my Sport much, but yesterday I noticed a rattle from the back which I suspect is due the much thinner double sided foam tape that I used. I'm planning to take it off and remount with thicker double-sided foam tape but can't find any - any help sourcing this or even the OEM tape would be most welcome.

  12. LOL, it timed out a few times trying to post the above, and then does a double post - the most pathetic forum that I frequent.
  13. Probably why we don't get many spammers - they cant wait until the URL becomes responsive again. This and other errors most of today, in addition to the long wait if it eventually does respond.

  15. @Haz if I read this correctly, it looks like this is in addition to what I've already done as per the previous recall? 20S42 - Recall for 2015-18 Edge and 2016-18 MKX - Brake Jounce Hoses - Page 2 - Recalls, TSBs & Warranty - Ford Edge Forum
  16. Free Traffic updates through Sirius XM will expire after 3 years (mine was 5 years) after which you can renew or just use the navigation without Traffic updates - it was at this point I moved to using a CarPlay adapter and Waze.
  17. I cant estimate the quantity that I got at each drain event. No, the compressed air didn't get it all out. When I did my wife's 3.7L Mustang I wrapped rags around the reservoir opening to seal against my leaf blower and I think that was more effective, probably because of the higher volume.
  18. I had a tube/hose on the petcock into a large plastic drain pan and it was totally mess free, until I got impatient and put some compressed air onto the reservoir which caused the hose to snake around a left a mess on my garage floor. If I had secured the hose 100% would have been contained in the drain pan.
  19. I expect that the prediluted is made with deminerilsed water which would be cheaper and easier for them to make in bulk, but not any better than using distilled.
  20. The website says distilled water. USA - Motorcraft - Yellow Concentrated Antifreeze/Coolant
  21. I have a vacuum device which I used for the first time when I changed over to the new yellow, but I doubt that its essential for the Edge - some vehicles are prone to air being trapped in the system, but haven't read such reports on the Edge. I bought the 2 gallons of concentrate which I mixed with distilled water bought from my local supermarket for $0.80 per gal - that's enough to do about 4 drain/fills. Some flush with distilled water then go with the concentrate and measure the fluid to get it where the want it. Amazon.com: Prestone AF-1420 Antifreeze/Coolant Tester : Everything Else
  22. A couple of weeks ago I changed my 2.7L over to the new Yellow coolant and cant recall how many turns the drain needed but it is definitely one or more - I recall it was tight to turn even after the initial breaking it free. I applied compressed air to the filler and it got more of the old coolant out, but unless you do a good few flushes the coolant in the expansion tank is going to have a mix of the old and new color - thank goodness the new Yellow is backward compatible.
