    Edge replacement

Looks a lot like the Mustang Mach-E I couldn't live without the rear load capacity of the Edge, which that vehicle doesn't appear to have.
  2. When mine had the exact same symptoms it was it was solved with a new evap purge valve on top of the engine - the error code can be either of the two valves. Have you been using OEM Motocraft parts? What error codes ?
  3. In that case it will have an MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor which the ECU uses to determine load instead of the Mass Air Flow sensor. Search for a small device mounted on the intake manifold. The temperature sensor (AIT) is used by the ECU to calculate air density. I don't believe that the AIT or MAP have anything to do with the symptoms you describe - it will take more in-depth diagnostics, and possible temporarily blanking off the Evap System.
  4. Thanks Haz Its around this time that most manufactures switched from MAF to MAP. The MAF is a much more fragile device and often damaged when owners attempt cleaning - if an inspection confirms its clean, I don't touch it.
  5. Are you sure this model has an MAF ?
  6. What code reader/app are you using?
  7. How about adding that to your signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ Best get the stored error codes read and go from there. There's a temp sensor on the PTU and doubt that there's one on the RDU.
  8. How about adding that to your signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/ Its likely the temp sensor in the PTU which is still rotating with AWD disabled. Have you been maintaining the PTU - oil change frequency?
  9. Doubt you're going to hear from the OP any time soon. @Adawg Joined: September 6, 2019 Last visited: January 27, 2023
  10. @TinaV713 Welcome - give the forum search a try for your next query. Please consider adding your location and Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  11. Not sure what to make of this - are you referring to the stud size? I use a 21mm six-sided deep socket and my original style lug nuts are in perfect condition - not long ago Discount Tire installed a tires and unlike my local Ford dealership they did not use an impact wrench to remove or tighten the lug nuts.
  12. About two years later I got this done - I also painted the chrome part black. Used the satin black with satin clear coat.
  13. Read the subject line - "SOLD OUT: 2015+ Edge IPC Lens/Masks ......."
  14. There's an abundance of reports on here of the 3rd party units not functioning and folks had to cough up and go with OEM.
  15. OEM or 3rd Party fans and controller?
  16. The symptoms associated with P0456 is rough idle, with no other performance issues, so the rough acceleration is something else. When I replaced my evap purge valve on my 2.7L the service manager mentioned that the code is most often resolved with the replacement of this valve, but a very limited number have needed to replace the canister vent vale near the rear axle. The P0456 points to the evap purge valve typically mounted close to or on top of the engine, as is the case with my 2.7L, but could also be the canister vent valve or poor sealing gas cap. How's the coolant level - losing any coolant? Maybe @Haz can help with more info.
  17. Had two sets of drilled & slotted rotors and now very happy with the solid rotors. Brake Pads & Rotor Replacement Option for Edge Sport (2016-2018) - Page 3 - Brakes, Chassis & Suspension - Ford Edge Forum
  18. If you plan too stick around best you add your Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  19. Its likely a bad seal on the steering rack and the leaked oil is collecting in the concertina boots and only after they're FULL will it start leaking out to the ground.
  20. Is that possible? - the turbo is upstream of the CAT in the exhaust gas flow path.
  21. What model/year/engine ? Please add your vehicle details and location to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  22. It’s apparent that you didn’t take it to a reputable mechanic - the first thing that should have been done on finding an issue with the timing and before going ahead with the replacement of the timing components, would be to assess the consequential damage knowing that this is an interference engine. Throwing more parts at it isn’t going to help - you need to consider a replacement engine.
  23. Take a photo of the fault indication and show it to the service manager - the service manager can report it as a failure without mentioning that its intermittent - if its the dealership where you bought it they'll be more inclined to help get it passed by Corp.
