  1. OEM or 3rd Party fans and controller?
  2. The symptoms associated with P0456 is rough idle, with no other performance issues, so the rough acceleration is something else. When I replaced my evap purge valve on my 2.7L the service manager mentioned that the code is most often resolved with the replacement of this valve, but a very limited number have needed to replace the canister vent vale near the rear axle. The P0456 points to the evap purge valve typically mounted close to or on top of the engine, as is the case with my 2.7L, but could also be the canister vent valve or poor sealing gas cap. How's the coolant level - losing any coolant? Maybe @Haz can help with more info.
  3. Had two sets of drilled & slotted rotors and now very happy with the solid rotors. Brake Pads & Rotor Replacement Option for Edge Sport (2016-2018) - Page 3 - Brakes, Chassis & Suspension - Ford Edge Forum
  4. If you plan too stick around best you add your Model/Year to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  5. Its likely a bad seal on the steering rack and the leaked oil is collecting in the concertina boots and only after they're FULL will it start leaking out to the ground.
  6. Is that possible? - the turbo is upstream of the CAT in the exhaust gas flow path.
  7. What model/year/engine ? Please add your vehicle details and location to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  8. It’s apparent that you didn’t take it to a reputable mechanic - the first thing that should have been done on finding an issue with the timing and before going ahead with the replacement of the timing components, would be to assess the consequential damage knowing that this is an interference engine. Throwing more parts at it isn’t going to help - you need to consider a replacement engine.
  9. Take a photo of the fault indication and show it to the service manager - the service manager can report it as a failure without mentioning that its intermittent - if its the dealership where you bought it they'll be more inclined to help get it passed by Corp.
  10. Would be good to get photos of your installation. Does yours have separate pads for the parking brake, not shoes like the above YT video ? If its pads squealing I would put a small bevel/chamfer on the leading and trailing edge of the pads.
  11. Welcome. I haven't seen any other posts with oil consumption issues in the 2.7TT which leads me to believe that its not a common problem. Do you have an extended warranty? - if so take it in for an official oil consumption test, and depending the outcome they should cover the repairs or replacement engine. Asl check the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve and make sure its not allowing oil to be fed into the intake, if that's good then do a compression and leak-down test. I use a Catch-Can and it will alert me to any malfunction with the PCV system.
  12. Welcome and sorry to hear of your predicament. Yes, most certainly - just can't predict at what rate it will worsen. My friend used a reputable independent and a Ford re-manufactured engine - cant recall the amount but it was less that $8K. Have you been in touch with Ford Corp.?
  13. Welcome. Not familiar with the latest models, but my 2017 updates over WiFi were so slow - I tried it once and cancelled it and went with downloading to USB. Check this site to see if download to USB is available. https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/search/Download SYNC with MyFord Touch software updates to a USB drive/ Maybe @Haz can help.
  14. The TPMS sensors installed one year ago in my Edge are working great, and so are the ones installed in my BMW motorcycle two years ago - both sets bought from the same country that made my 4 yo cell phone which is still working flawlessly.
  15. I replaced my evap purge valve and the only symptoms was a minor stumble at idle immediately after gassing up and a stored error code - haven't had any further issues since installing the new evap purge valve. I doubt that an evap purge valve could cause it to die while driving.
  16. This is the tape to buy. LLPT Double Sided Foam Tape 1 Inches x 50 Ft Durable Adhesive Weatherproof for Fill Gaps Attach Bond and Mount Uneven Or Textured Surfaces (T004A)
  17. please add that to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  18. If its got to the point of making the noise you describe, an oil change is unlikely to help. What model, year, AWD, .........? - please add that to your profile signature - https://www.fordedgeforum.com/settings/signature/
  19. Thanks @Haz One more favor, do you have the part number for those white plastic clips? Edit: I think I found them. 2015-2023 Ford Edge Center Molding Retainer FT4Z-5852118-D | TascaParts.com
  20. With the weather forecast change tomorrow is also a bike day, so I just took it through the car wash and zero leaks. Now just waiting to see if @Haz can help with instructions to remove the trim piece so that I can attach the loose plastic clip, and be done with Safelite for good.
  21. I was able to fish the loose clip out from under the trim and now the trim's curvature matches the windshield.
  22. @Haz please help with a guide to removed the plastic trim mentioned above.
  23. The wipers are removed to lift the plastic trim that runs across the top edge of the bulkhead. I don't see any body damage. For today's install I cannot find any fault with the glass, but notice that the plastic trim between the top edge of the windshield and the moon roof was raised in one spot - I lifted it slightly and could see one of the white nylon clips is loose and obviously not letting the trim go down all the way. I'm going to do a search to see how to lift that trim piece and correct the one clip - will go through the files @Haz posted. Edit: I can't see why they would need to lift this trim piece. Tomorrow's a bike day, so will take it through the car wash on Friday and if its leak free I'm done with Safelite - if there's an issue I'll be in touch with my insurance to see how I can get this job done by another supplier. I do not recommend Safelite.
