  1. I agree, at this point its all we've got. If our most valuable contributor @Haz knows of an alternate forum I'd be spending my time there.
  2. I cussed today and yesterday while this forum was down - most unreliable forum I frequent.
  3. Welcome. Suspect a blown head gasket - you can loan or buy a device from Autozone to test the cooling system for combustion gas to confirm head gasket issue, and/or a compression and leak down test.
  4. I wouldn't trust the Mazda car sales place to diagnose it and also wouldn't take their word that they had it at a Ford Dealership, unless they provided some kind of documentation from Ford. If it in fact was at Ford and they did not find any stored fault codes, then there isn't much they can do - they could spend some time checking electrical connections focusing on the Electric Power Steering connections.
  5. Welcome. When you say that she took it back to the dealership do your mean a Kia Dealership service centre?
  6. Welcome. Take it to the Ford dealership or find a certified reputable independent service shop.
  7. Update: One of the four TPMS sensors installed two years ago is failing. I think I'll go with US sourced OEM sensors from now on, or the programmable Autel sensors like the ones I have in my wife's BMW X5. Looking to get a set of four and pop the bead on one side and replace them all I have a question - do you know if the metal stems can be used in place of the rubber ones that came with the 21" Sport wheels?
  8. I installed 4 of these on 8/22/2022 at 81,170 miles, and today at 107,160 miles there's still loads of tread left after 26K miles. I haven't measured the tread depth, but quite confident they'll reach 80K miles.
  9. Welkom Boet. We also get snow in my area, and with AWD I find all season tires/tyres work just fine. I've had Bridgestone - ALENZA AS ULTRA bought from Costco for almost two years and will go with the same next time. Alenza AS Ultra | Bridgestone Tires
  10. Welcome. Could you post a photo so that we can have better idea of which part you're referring to.
  11. Try a search here and Google and you'll find an abundance of reports confirming that none of the 3rd party offerings work - another option would be to take a chance and try another 3rd party unit and report back.
  12. You might want to post the pic directly to the forum in .jpeg or .jpg format. Set your phone camera to "most compatible" format and it will save them in .jpg
  13. Loulou Welcome. Judging from this thread it sounds like the engine cover wasn't fitted to your Model/Year.
  14. I believe that's par for the course with slotted rotors and the lower price range may also be a factor - the high carbon rotors that have been on for quite some time are still performing great.
  15. Welcome. Yes the VIN will confirm if it has ACC. If it were me, I'd make sure that there's an arrangement in place with "my mechanic" that he would carry the cost of the replacement module if it was not the solution to the problem.

Lounge Welcome to the Ford Edge Lounge. Please not that this forum is NOT for technical discussion. Please post in the appropriate forum to technical and mod help.
  17. What battery are you using and where did you purchase them? High ambient temperature won't cause the "leak everywhere", but over charging will definitely do that. If you have a multimeter measure the resting voltage and then the charging voltage with the engine revs at 2000 or higher - the charging voltage should be around 14.3v and anything higher would be an indication that its overcharging. BTW, is there any chance that you have a remanufactured alternator installed?
  18. A service shop might consider installing the compressor with a written waiver that they bear no responsibility for anything that goes wrong. It's hard to predict the long-term outcome operating it without the third mount. A creative fabricator might be able to make a bracket that secures to a different location. Looks like you've got nothing to lose giving it a try without the third mount.
  19. How many miles have you got on the MAXLife and still feel good? I've contemplated using this when I did my second drain/fill at 102K miles. There loads of good reviews spread across many brands forums, but mixed opinions on this forum.
  20. Check the vacuum line and its non-return/check valve is good. Let the engine idle for a few minutes to build vacuum in the booster then disconnect the hose at the booster and confirm there's an inrush of air.
  21. Who performed the diagnostic test and what equipment did they use?
