man im having a similar issue with parasitic drain. I pulled the fuses to determine a draw was coming from #18 interior fuse box and #69 exterior under engine bay. One thing that i noticed is a high pitch frequency ringing under the hood while the vehicle is off and key is out. naturally, when i took it to the mechanic the meter showed no draw and the high pitch sound couldnt be replicated. in my video you will hear the high pitch sound that i believe may be the problem. this may also help the OP to narrow down their draw issues. sorry for video quality, i had to reduce the size. im just off to the side of the bottom of the battery. 20241014_130818_1.mp4

SOLUTION We ended up replacing the Rack & pinion, PS Pump with new OEM, the noise continued. Then the mechanic realized that early on he changed the PS high pressure line to an aftermarket. Well, he ordered an OEM High pressure line, installed it, bled the line and boom - the whining was gone. all that time, money and energy was the result of an Aftermarket High pressure line. I truly hope this helps someone else down the road. Joey

Air intake line question. Does anyone know what this small line off the air intake is for? And also - is it supposed to have a chunk missing in it? 2013 SEL AWD

2013 ford edge SEL AWD. never had an issue with power steering prior to work done for a PS Leak. Currently, Low moaning sound while idling & annoying whining when turning the wheel at slow speeds. Noise still persists after the followiny work was performed: - new aftermarket rack/pinion - new aftermarket pump (which failed after the new rack was installed so we had installed another OEM pump. - new high pressure line - return line repair for minor hole. - new belts, belt tensioner - system air bleed by 2 different shops and on my own with jack stands, vacuum pump and turning the wheel 600 times. - figure 8 driving lock to lock There is no active leak. The PS fluid (ATF) has no bubbles in the reservoir.
