Thank-you for the info, I'm used to working on my truck but it's only electronics is a MSD setup. I'm interested in learning more about how this vehicle works and will read through the info and let you know about the code.

My apologies if considered hijacking this thread but a quick question. I would like to turn off the double honk when you exit a running vehicle with your key in your pocket. I've just ordered the ELM327 USB Omar suggested and have FORscan Lite on my phone. Where would be a good sourse of material to read up on turning off this piece of code? I'm a Cro-Magnon with newer vehicles so any help would be appreciated.

Thank-you for the responses, it looks like behaviour modification is the key LOL. I'll search for the forscan route to see what is involved also.

Hello, We picked up a 2016 Edge SEL AWD and its been perfect for our family, my only small gripe is the double honk the vehicle gives when I exit with the key in my pocket and vehicle running. I know this is a safety item but when getting home late and getting out to check mail I would rather not bother the neighbours. Is it possible to mute this warning or do I need to learn to leave the key in the vehicle? Thanks.
