I've never considered a simple exhaust, CAI and a tune a high horsepower maker. I think your ahead of the curve here.

Now wait a sec... why is everyone surprised that it's only putting down 221 to the TIRES...? The Edge doesn't make over 300 to begin with? Even the new Edge Sport is only putting out 305, and thats at the ENGINE, not the wheels. Completely different ball game when your talking horse power at the wheels. I think 221 is a very respectable number. My 2006 GTO with a ton of mods, made 550 at the engine, and put down 450 at the wheels... same thing, lost 100 HP thru the crank, and drive line etc,.. Thats just the way it goes. Cannon

I'm lowered and running bigger and wider tires and wheels. My little bread box handles GREAT! I can hustle it through the twisties fast enough to send my groceries in the back a flying! lol Seriously though, handles great! With the springs, wheels, and tires, i have way less pitch and roll when i go into a corner. Cannon

Hey TJ, EVERYTIME i pull up to another Ford Edge on the road, i look over expecting to see the people staring back. But it's the same scene everytime,.. some older couple, completely oblivious that they are next to another Edge, let alone a modified one! My point being, i don't think there is a big enough market to justify the boy in the shop, whipping up a turbo system LOL Thanks tho -Cannon

Hey TJ, You guys don't seem to be selling anything new for the Edge that you weren't already selling a few years ago. Turbo system would be nice LOL. I wouldn't say i was "satisfied" about my whole dealio,... lol it's just over and done with, and shit happens. The main complaint i had about the whole thing, delt with a computer issue. And when you start talking computers,.. all bets are off. Dang things can do anything. Suppose to simplify our lifes, but sometimes i wonder. lol Kinda like when your at the grocery store and the lady keep swiping your box of cereal over the red bar code reader and it won't pick it up, then after 50 swipes, she finally just enters the code. LMFAO!!! I can send you all the pics you'd like of my vehicle. What email should i sent it too?? Cannon

OK well in reply to Kona and TJ, This was awhile ago for one (when the products first came out, like over 2 yrs ago) I had posted the entire outcome somewhere on this site. Anyways, in regards to the spacer and CAI, i didn't do any trimming, maybe that was my fault then. It was awhile ago (like over 2 yrs ago) and i just remember i tried everything and it didn't fit. I had already purchased the Weapon R CAI, so i returned the Steeda unit and kept the spacer. I was able to just squeeze the Weapon R unti in, with the Steeda spacer. Now then, moving onto the SCT... what a nightmare! It's been awhile like i said, but it went something like this,.. got the SCT unit, installed it, and the vehicle wouldn't start. Left it dead in the water. Tried going back to stock, no luck. Steeda told me to contact SCT, which i did and was on the phone for hours. They told me i needed to connect the SCT to my computer and grant them access to my computer so they could go in and reprogram the SCT Unit. Well i didn't have the proper cable to connect it to my computer, so i had to go to the store and buy that. I get back home, call SCT again, then it turns out they can only access a normal PC, and i own a MAC. Shit out of luck again. So i had to borrow a regular laptop, call SCT again and then stay on the phone for HOURS while they did their thing to fix the SCT unit. They get done doing their thing and it's right at their quitting time back east. They tell me i'm good to go. I get off the phone with them, go back out to my vehicle, set it back to stock, then give it another try.... no luck,.. dead in the water again, and SCT is now closed because it's past 5pm their time. So my vehicle sat dead over the weekend, oh ya cause this happened on a friday. So first thing monday, i go thru the whole process again, but this time i leave the vehicle set back to stock. By this point, i'm pissed beyond the point of pisstivity. So i returned the Steeda/SCT unit, along with the CAI, and just kept the throttle body spacer. Now then,.. I will say this, Steeda does, AND is known to make very good products. I hold Steeda, in my opinion as still one of the top aftermarket companies to go to,.. along with Saleen etc,.. especially if you own a mustang! I have NOT heard of anyone else having the SCT programmer problem i had either. Steeda DID give me a refund on the parts with no problems at all. You just have to put yourself in my shoes and all the bullshit i had to go thru with that damn programmer, and the cable, and the computer, and then being on the phone for,.. i shit you not,.. like 3 hrs EACH time. And i was on a cell phone, and just kept thinking the whole time... "we're gonna get to the final step and my phone will die and i'll have to start all over, i just know it!!!" LOL So,.. thats my story. If any of you have seen my Edge, then you will know and realize that it is the most modified Edge on this site. Just another reason the whole set back had bothered me at the time. I am a total car nut and love, love, love modifying vehicles. Again, i believe Steeda makes great vehicles, even greater, with their products. The didn't give me any hassle refunding the items i didn't want either. LooseCannon

You don't even want to hear my story about what happened with the Steeda Tuner, AND their CAI, .. which by the way won't fit if you try and run their throttle body spacer at the same time. Best of luck to those who buy it. And if your happy with it, good for you. Cannon
