  1. Part of my "rush" if you will is I was brought on with the company to be on a project this year, I've been on the road constantly since last November (talking in the past 3 months I've been home for 4 days). I head out to California monday and then bounce through 4 more locations before December, so my time at home is limited and I'd love to find something sooner rather than later.
  2. I've been looking at the 2015/16 Edge for the past 3 weeks or so. I absolutely love the new body style and the amenities on the sport model, not to mention that 2.7L V6 Ecoboost, my god what a fun little motor. The 2016's are still being priced for well over $44,000 in my area and at 0% for 72 month financing that puts me at $575+ a month. I'm moving for work and still don't know what my offer will be or where I'll be moving to. So i started looking at 2015 models and stumbled upon one very close to me. It's a 2015 sport with all the bells and whistles that I've been after plus some, it was titled in California and now is for sale here in Tennessee, the issue is it currently sits at 31,000 miles. I'd have to assume that is a lot of highway but am unsure if its a risk to go after such a high mileage car and why its being sold only a year after purchase (or near a year I should say). Is there any reason to be concerned with the mileage? From what I gathered on Ford's website the vehicle is still covered under the factory warranty for another 5,000 miles and the drivetrain warranty for another 29,000 miles, which makes me feel a lot better about making the jump but still don't want to find myself in a severely abused vehicle. One issue with the listing is it calls it a FWD vehicle, just to make sure the Sport was never or isn't currently offering a FWD package correct?
  3. I sorta expect any common brand is gonna have some squeaks and vibrations, I come from a 2004 Subaru WRX that is modified, anything is an improvement.
  4. This makes no sense to me that they don't offer the tow package for the model that comes with the bigger motor and default AWD system. I fell in love with that V6 ecoboost but unfortunately only available in the Sport model. I'm still on the fence about the sport model, I get my rental car back this weekend that has the 2.0L 4 cylinder and want to see how that one feels now that I've driven the V6. That's what I'm hoping it is, I have been using the USB method for now which works just don't like having a wire laying over the center console all the time just for my phone.
  5. Does the wire harness plug in somewhere on the car or am I splicing wires? I consider myself a very handy person so installing a hitch and running wire isn't an issue, I just don't want to be the one splicing into brand new car wiring.
  6. I'm in the market for a new car and after having rented a Ford Edge Titanium for the past 5 weeks for work i think I found my next vehicle. I do have some questions though that perhaps some more experienced users can answer for me. 1) One of the biggest reasons I'm getting a midsize SUV over my usual sedan choice is I need functionality. The vehicle I'm looking at is the 2016 Edge Sport with the panoramic sunroof, I'd like to find a way to get a roof rack on the car without clamping into the door sills like I've seen done online. Is this possible with this configuration seeing as it doesn't come with runner rails? 2) This vehicle is what I'll be using in about 4 months to move again for my company from Memphis to one of 16 locations across the US, I will be towing my motorcycle but don't know the best way to go about getting a hitch installed. The dealer told me they will offer me a $500 credit for having a hitch installed. I did see I can get a hitch myself offline for under $200 but then comes the question of how easy is it to wire in the trailer harness or is that why its worth it just to take it to a shop to do? 3) The only issue's I've had with the rental vehicle (mind you yes it is a rental so it gets beat on), the hood has a sensor for hood not being latched, that has been faulted on the rental since day 1. The other issue (which could be my iPhone) the Bluetooth connectivity to my phone for music will sometimes just completely shut off and fail to reconnect until the car is turned off and back on. Has anyone had a similar issue? 4) Can fog lights be added to the 2015/16 model? I'd like to hear of any complaints people have otherwise about the newer 2015/16 model. I feel I've got the best idea of anyone looking to buy this car seeing as I've been essentially driving it daily for 5 weeks. I really have no major issues myself except for the horrendous halogen headlights, which is why i'm getting the sports package with the HID option so I don't have to worry about that anymore.
  7. Long story short I travel for work and have had a 2016 Ford Edge Titanium as a rental vehicle for 5 weeks now and feel in love. I started looking at new or preowned Edge's and have found my calling. From what I want out of the car I'm pretty much set on the Sport package as that v6 pulls like nothing I would have expected out of an SUV, the HIDs and the panaramic are a must and everything else is just a nice touch. Lets hope this happens sooner rather than later!
