I noticed today that the spoiler on my 16 Sport (white platinum) has no pearl at all in it. It's flat white and the white doesn't even match that well (I know that can be because it's a plastic piece). Can anyone else take a look at their spoiler and tell me if it has the pearl top coat white platinum should have? I stopped in the dealer but they only had Oxford White models there

Ah interesting I didn't know you could lock the key fob in car! In that case I'm going to start using it (love to go hiking but hate to bring around all my keys).

Off topic, but when do you use the keypad? I figured with the smart entry it would make the keypad redundant. I've never even set a pass code for it yet.

Kijiji or Craigslist has tons of these (depending on area of course).

Definitely not super bad just not consistent with the rest of the body panels that line up perfectly. I don't think I would have even noticed if it were a darker color, but with white they are very apparent.

Anyone else?

Go clear bra (I.e. Paint protective film).

Lol I guess that's good to know!

Yes the line between the rear bumper panel and rear quarter panel. The gap is not consistent as it moves down the panel (starts off okay but tapers off to no gap where the panels basically touch). Also if you look at the light it looks like it should be shifted up a few mm. There is a small gap above the light (no gap on the driver's side). Again I know I'm nit picking but I just wanted to know if this is usual with these cars or if I should bother to bring it in.

Picked up my Edge Sport this past weekend and everything has been great! I looked over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and was very impressed with the fit and finish (I've owned many luxury brands and this being my first domestic vehicle I am truly surprised!). Anyways, the only issue I found was the rear bumper alignment and the rear light (almost looks like it was bumped but the dealer assured me it was not). Is this panel a common problem or is this something I should even bother bringing to the dealers attention? I know sometimes they fix one thing and end up f'ing up something else.

That looks really good! -
I hate oiled filters as well.

I live 15 minutes from the assembly plant and delivery time is still typically 8-10 weeks. Luckily my dealer was able to find another dealership that had one they could trade for. I'll be picking it up on Friday! Congrats on your purchase!

I'm planning to buy a winter tire/rim package from Tirerack.com and they come with aftermarket TPMS sensors. Has anyone had issues with these working properly?

2nd gen Edge Sport - what's everyone using as a winter set-up
Burrcold replied to Burrcold's topic in Wheels & Tires
After looking at Tirerack.com I think I'm going to go for a 19 inch after market rim. Tires aren't that much more expensive and they look a whole lot better than the 18's especially on the Sport. -

Great thanks! That's really annoying that they won't alloy you to get anything other than the SE rims. I might have to look at aftermarket if that's the case this year as well. -

Thanks I had a feeling it would be the SE rims. I wonder if you can upgrade to the SEL rims (look slightly better in my opinion). Sorry I must be missing something but I don't see the thread you're referencing. -

I was more wondering what kind of OEM options the dealers offer as part of their winter wheel packages specifically for the Edge Sport. Do the SE/SEL 18's fit the Sport? -
I have the optional 21 inch wheels so obviously don't want to use them in the winter. I'm looking at going with one of the packages the dealers start putting together in September / October. Definitely no steel wheels and 18 inches is the lowest I want to go (they are on 5 months of the year so I want something that looks half decent). Do the wheels generally come with the dealer offered packages? The SE wheels? SEL wheels? I'm not sure if those even fit on the Sport. Anyways would like to hear what the northern folks used on their 15/16 Sport. Thanks!
