Sticker on inside of Windshield
Burrcold replied to davidceder's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
Me too especially since it's 15 mins from my house. -
Interested in seeing yours James!

Why don't you bring it to a proper alignment shop? I've never let dealerships do alignments on any car I've owned.
-
Mine goes into 6th even in sport mode. It's just more aggressively trying to drop to 5th anytime I give it a little bit of throttle, but if I'm just coasting it's in 6th (you know because you are sitting at around 2k rpm and can put it in and out of sport and the rpms don't change).

I hate the winter but I am looking forward to driving the Edge this winter. My last 4 have been spent driving a Subaru BRZ so this will be a welcome change to some brutal snowy conditions that I'm sure are in store.
-
Bring it to the dealer and get them to figure it out.
-
Never mind, I just looked it up and the steering mode changes from D to S are ONLY on vehicles equipped with Adaptive Steering. I opted to not get it as I didn't like the artificial feel of the system.
-
I don't have this option under driver assist (I'm assuming you mean through the left gauge cluster LCD screen?). Do you have adaptive steering? If so, maybe that gives you more options? I don't know.
-
I don't think sport mode is supposed to change the feel of the steering. It's just gearing.
-
Your left to right alignment is definitely off but your horizontal alignment looks spot on (almost every one I've seen the lift gate sits a tiny bit higher than quarter panel). It could be that your spoiler just needs to be adjusted (that and have liftgate moved to the right a bit).

2017 Ford Edge Production Information
Burrcold replied to robertlane's topic in 2017-2018 Edge & MKX
Very much dependent on the manufacturing plant (and automaker), but usually 2 shifts for assembly (16 hours), and 28 to 40 hours for the entire process. -
Seats giving me a back problem
Burrcold replied to Mike Tollin's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I was starting to think that the seats were uncomfortable as well (first few weeks of driving it and my back was getting a little sore). I'm by no means old (37) and pretty average weight height I presume (5'10" - 185lbs). Initially I had the seat at about 3/4 height with the seat back reclined almost at a 90 degree angle and the headrest just middle range (not forward, but not all the way back), a bit of lumbar support "on". I tested a new seating position for the week...I lowered the seat to about half height (maybe a bit lower than half but just enough to still see a touch of the hood), reclined a few degrees back, and put the headrest forward enough that it was naturally hitting the back of my head when I relaxed, lowered the steering column and telescoped the steering wheel a bit closer, and finally as others mentioned, depressed the lumbar support completely. WOW what a difference it made!!! No pain at all and I did A LOT of driving this week. AND I find that I am enjoying the car so much more! Ingress/egress is better, sightlines to the gauge cluster, Sync screen, and all the physical HVAC buttons seem so much more natural. So happy that I've made this change!!! For all of those finding problems with seating position, keep making adjustments until you find something that works!! -
Oh I like the sample you have there with the white Sport embroidered. Looks sharp!

Sync 3 change screen contrast level?
Burrcold replied to Burrcold's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
That's what I figured. I know there are sometimes hidden option menus. I'll have to keep searching -
I had the same suede/leather combo on my Subaru BRZ and really the only thing I used on the suede part was a lint brush/roller and dampened cloth to spot clean. The leather I conditioned the same as any other leather. I had that car for 4 years and the seats looked brand new still when I sold it. Hopefully the Edge will hold up as well!

Is their a way to change anything other than the brightness level? I.e. Contract, color saturation, etc. I've read the manual and their is nothing, but maybe there's a menu I'm missing.

Edge 2015+ climate controls illumination
Burrcold replied to Tronjo's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Mine are off during the day as well (I have my lights set to auto). I also find that they are a little hard to read during the day especially when the sun is glaring. I don't know if it's the size or the font, but it's not the most legible during the day. -
2nd gen Edge Sport - what's everyone using as a winter set-up
Burrcold replied to Burrcold's topic in Wheels & Tires
I ended up going aftermarket and got these in 19 inch (RTX Envy) with Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT tires. -
Tail light Condensation
Burrcold replied to d0minicano's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I was just driving behind an SEL (presumably a 2015) and the light bar portion of the tail lights was FULLY fogged up. The side parts of the tail lights didn't seem to have the problem. Wow I'll have to keep an eye on this, because I had a 2013 Subaru BRZ and tail light condensation was a HUGE problem with that vehicle (and they too had a disclaimer that it was a natural occurrence - yeah well many owners had huge puddles in their lights). -
Thanks Tjm623

It was funny seeing all of the platinum white models today that definitely had the platinum white spoiler. It was almost silly how my spoiler looked when I got back to my car. I'm pretty OCD about stuff so I can't believe that I didn't notice it! The dealer is going to look at all the panels and gaps now so I'm pretty happy! Hopefully they don't break something else while fixing all of this!
-
I was just kidding with blaming the assembly line. I've worked as a project manager for many of the automotive manufacturers to know where things can go wrong, and who has responsibility to check. it could have happened on delivery to the dealership, damaged in transit and they ordered the wrong color as a replacement (this one was brought to my dealer from another that had it in stock so my dealer would not have known).
-
Went to a different dealer today and it's definitely Oxford White. LOL stupid assembly people. Just at my original dealer now booking an appointment to get it changed. They were pretty embarrassed that such a mistake could happen. I told them I was embarrassed for thinking it was normal!
-
Thanks guys! It's very hard to see the difference in regular daylight. The sun has to be hitting it at just the right angle or (like I did) hold a light source to each panel that will reflect the pearl.
-
Here's a picture, although very exaggerated since I took it in the dark with a flash. The actual white vs white isn't nearly as noticeable in normal lighting. But if you look closely, you can see the spoiler has no pearl "tri-coat" when compared to the rear quarter panel.
