  1. Everyone with OEM rims is in the same situation if one is damaged, unless you have wheel/tire protection added. Regardless of size, getting a rim replaced by the dealer will be very expensive, so yes of course replacing one rim in the aftermarket is much cheaper. Or you can do what I did and buy an extra set of rims/tires used on Craigslist for $1,900. This way I have an extra rims, tires, and TPMS, if any of mine get damaged over the life. I can sell them at the end of my lease if they didn't get used (that's my protection package lol). I'm sure I'll need to replace the tires anyways at some point and the used ones I bought still have about 85% tread remaining.
  2. I've seen new (removed immediately after purchased by the owner) go for $2k. That's pretty good for a 21 inch OEM rim and tires. I don't how many 21 inch packages you would get aftermarket for that kind of money, most are $3k plus with tires. Plus (like myself) I prefer the design of these 21's to most in the aftermarket anyways.
  3. $4k? It's a $1k upgrade when buying new, and I've seen many sets sold on Craigslist and eBay for ~$2k
  4. No not unless you live somewhere that it's mandatory to have DRL (I.e. Canada).
  5. If you have it set to auto and you have the day time running lights "on" in your left gauge menu, then yes your HID's would always be on (unless you are in park and the ambient light is bright enough to keep them off - the moment you put the transmission in reverse/drive they will turn on). I'm not sure why your accent LED's would turn off with the day time running lights in the "off" position. In Canada we have standard DRL and can't select them off so my accent LED's are always on. My HID's just stay on all the time as a result of the above, which is fine by me. I'd rather that than them turning on and off when set to auto (same reason Nick gave).
  6. I keep mine at 33-34 (cold) in the winter, so that they're around 35-36 at operating temperature.
  7. Exactly why I'm not going to bother with the upgrade. I wish it was a seamless transition between both interfaces.
  8. Wow what kind of shoes are you wearing? Lol. You could try getting some 3M protection film (similar to the stuff that's used on the rear bumper).
  9. Welcome! Agree with you that the sound system is not great. It has decent bass but everything else is muddy as you mentioned. I said in another topic that setting your mids to below zero helps a bit but not much since there aren't many settings. Also try switching between surround and regular stereo to see if you like one or the other more (personal preference I think).
  10. It's a design flaw. Add an additional seal around the bottom of the door or just clean regularly as suggested.
  11. Sorry maybe I wasn't very clear. I went with 6k that obviously produces more glare, which is why I did the runs with my wife's car to make sure it wasn't too blinding (combined with using the OEM halogen projectors). My comment was cut short: "(part of the reason I went with 6k versus the 4300k the OEM ones are"...because of the more white color, which I found matches the led bumper lights perfectly). <-- is what I meant to continue with.
  12. They should just rename it TSC. In fact all super technical acronyms should be dumbed down to what they simply are. TPMS is a good example of dumbing it down
  13. Since it's in the middle it rules out a coolant leak. Crazy as it sounds it's probably your exhaust. Here read this: https://www.google.ca/amp/s/sec.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive/culture/commuting/an-explanation-for-the-yellow-snow-under-your-car/article621975/%3Fservice%3Damp?client=safari
  14. I saw that TSB as well and it's exactly what I've been experiencing, but mine is a 2016 as well. It's on my ever growing laundry list of items Ford needs to look at the next time I'm in for service.
  15. Yes the HID's will now work as DRL however they will not be slightly more dim like the halogens are during the day. Since the capacitors even out the voltage, the result is that the HID's are on all the time at full intensity. Some people like it (me) and some don't (concerns about bulb longevity). Edit: sorry forgot to answer your capacitor question. Some kits come with them but most don't but are available from wherever you buy.
  16. Welcome! It sounds you have the same rattle. Mine is just above the b-pillar.
