I have a 3.5L and think I have something along same issue. It happens on one hilly road in particular that's 45 mph. I'll get to about 40 and 4th gear, let off gas and you'd expect it to coast and up shift to pick up speed. It instead stays in 4th and immediately feels like engine braking from the lower gear. I have to use paddle shifter to move it up to 5th and then 6th. It won't shift back down until tach is below 1000, which to me is normal. The annoying part is it not wanting to up shift and the feeling of immediate engine brake when letting off the gas. The car should have some ability to coast without needing brake or gas input.

Do you have the three buttons for memory positions? It controls seat, wheel, and mirrors. You may have set one with mirrors adjusted one way and now when you use the fob it moves the mirrors back where you had them when you set the memory function. if you didn't set it, maybe someone else did. The manual should have instructions on how to reset the settings

I know, I'm saying on the escape it won't let me even get into the menu. It displays a toggle switch that says turn mobile apps on, when trying to move the switch nothing's happens. My edge works just like you explained.

Phones not even connected when I try, my mobile apps is available without phone (it shows Sirius travel link) and then a pop up displays saying connect phone for access to mobile apps

Sure I'll run out there right now. Yes it's 2.0, I can't figure out how to post pictures off mobile site, or I'd show the USB module as well. The one strange thing is she has mobile apps like mine but it will not let me "enable" them. The little toggle switch won't move like mine to the on position and which point mine says plug in a phone to enable the apps

I have a '17 escape and a '16 edge...ill have to look is there anything noticeable to tell the USB modules apart? It's also got a android auto button on the menu, neither of us have android though so no way to test that

So my quest continues...I found while browsing eBay the Sony OEM sub for a 2015. I also found a Sony dash face that includes the HVAC controls. I was beginning to wonder if that unit would be swappable with mine? And then the sub may work if I'm lucky enough to have the wires in the back for a sub but nothing is plugged in? I know it's a long stretch, but I feel like now a days a lot of cars have the connections for different options that they necessarily don't have. I am not sure if the Sony dash piece has anything to do with it as it's still running through sync3, and there is probably an amp somewhere that would be needed as well. Unless the sub has its own amp in the plastic casing? The dash piece was about $90 and the sub was a little more. I don't want to tear mine apart just to look and see it can't be done though. So if anyone has had either the dash faceplate off and has pictures of the wires / back of it or the sub area in a non Sony edge I'd love to see!

I have an SEL 16' and with how quiet the vehicle is there is one rattle that has started that I first thought was a blown driver door tweeter. I cannot figure out where it's coming from and it's driving me nuts. Isn't all the time but is much louder when music is up which leads me to believe something inside the door is rattling from the vibrations. Make it stop!!

#3 I've had issues with sync 3 acting whacky with my phone. Not with music but trying to use Siri. It'll work one minute then act like it's working and not do anything. Then nothing on my phone will work with sync until as you mentioned car is turned off and back on. It's only happened twice so far. If it keeps up I'll be going to dealer apparently they have an update not out for automatic updates yet. If it plays nice I'll wait till it can update itself. It's most likely a software issue so I'm not too worried yet.

Is it for the SEL? I actually didn't even look into it. I had a price point for what I was willing to spend and the only real must have for me was sync 3, everything else id already had in my truck. The 201a package with nav and a premium color/ 3.5L engine put me at that number and I stopped looking at other options. In a perfect world I would have got the sport...one day

I won't lie I think a lot of that had to due with it was last day of July. I was also straight forward with the guy (who is already bought the truck off so he knows how I operate, I don't come to dealer unless I'm serious), I was looking to buy two vehicles and if I didn't get what I wanted on the truck I wasn't buying either. Wife's care took a turn for the worse (recalls, and just could sense it was gonna start getting expensive). I realized we could afford both but my monthly payment needed to come down to bring hers up, so said good bye to the truck and she got an escape. I have been very lucky with trade ins and this dealership. Third vehicle I've traded in have gotten over kbb every time and even with owing in the cars I usually get back about 3-4K. Truck was obviously a different story. Due to that trade in I actually only paid $464 in taxes for the edge . I don't wanna hijack anymore than I have. At the end of the day whatever works best for your situation go with that. We originally were looking to lease one and ended up buying two! For me, it was not being able to justify $30 less than I was paying to own an f150 to lease an edge. It just felt wrong to me

The truck was a brand new 2014 I bought end of model year when 15s came out(1/19/15 purchase date) I had 21k miles on it and traded it back to the same dealer I bought it off then, 2 weeks ago. They gave me 1000 less than I paid for it. No trade in. Now I did use that as a trade in for my edge

I traded in my truck (think they hold a little better value) for 1k less than I had paid for it to get into my edge. FWIW. I think if you make it clear they aren't getting a sale unless u get the amount you want for traded car and they are willing to work (like end of month) you can get a deal on trade in. but I agree you typically will lose money on an earlier trade in like that. I wouldn't have traded my truck if that was the case

There is a ford parts vendor on this site LevittownFord. There is a whole forum dedicated to him and I'd start by asking him. Otherwise your best bet is probably going to be search junkyards on your local area. I'm sure you could easily find these on a car there

Good to know, from the numbered picture those were the only 4 I was having trouble figuring out what they were. 11,12 seem like third row cup holders? Not entirely sure with 3,4. I probably won't end up using all of them as it may be to many little mats with the word edge on them all over the car lol. Still have to see if they are even cut nice/ decent quality and even want them in the car. For $17 I was willing to be the experimental case

If that's the case then yes very slick grille. They make one for f150s as well, makes it look like the Raptor version. Wanted to get one, never got around to it for my f150. I don't think I'd get one of these unless I had a sport though I ordered the mats, in red. The white ones are the only ones that glow which turned me off as if it's anything like most products that glow in the dark. They will almost look green during the day.

I saw and liked that grille until further inspection shows it has a GIANT F and D without the O or R. I may pull the trigger on the mats. Might not put them all in as that may be overkill, but the door and center console ones might add a little something different

Yea I had a reverse light go out on my truck the day I turned it in. But for how cheap (free in this case) they typically are I can't complain. I highly suggest the puddle lamps. I'm thinking I may try and put my old ones into my wife's escape? may be a little risky of a mod for my taste lol. I too am disappointed in the amount of aftermarket parts. I have searched and really can't find much besides OEM accessories and some of the most hideous aftermarket Chinese things. What is with all the fake stick on chrome?!? You could literally chrome the entire car out. I did find these mats that look interesting. They are in three color schemes and drop into just about every hole in the car, cup holders, cargo pockets, arm rest, dash cubby. They have the edge logo on them as well. Update: I got everything in the mail today. From dans contact time to my receiving it went fast. I got the puddle lamps (came with led license plates bulbs too) and the HID kit. I installed the 4 aux lights in about 15 mins tonight. Only tool was my smallest flathead screwdriver. Puddle lights were pretty painless. License plates were too just make sure to test all the lights prior to putting them back in. I had a license plate bulb backwards and it wouldn't light. Also be careful with your license plate plastic caps! They have a little metal tab on the side. I popped one back in and it someone sprung "open" causing a bridge over the top of the plastic inside the liftgate. This took awhile to work back out while not trying to break anything. I was able to bend it back to shape and it's holding now. That's a me screw up / ford part. Zero to do with the kit I purchased. Will update this weekend if I get around to doing headlights. Hopefully have some pictures. The puddle lamps are crazy bright I could see them at dusk! Compared with the stocks that I didn't even realize I had until it was pitch black one night
