  1. Interesting, thanks. I like to keep my phone in view because I use waze, for both knowing where the cops are, and getting around traffic issues.
  2. I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012EI4J3O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I tried the one that goes in the CD slot, but it blocked too many buttons. I put a 12v charger in the aux port by the passenger knee and use that to charge my phone.
  3. Still available, now with free shipping to anywhere in the lower 48.
  4. My Edge didn't come with a hitch, got a quote to have a Ford hitch and wiring installed, cause I wanted the "cleaner" look of the OEM hitch. $800. I think I can deal with some metal hanging below the bumper for $150.....
  5. OK, I guess these are back on the market......anyone interested?
  6. OK, guess I won't waste my time with Rain-X then. Oh well....
  7. A few more small gripes.... 1. The backup camera seems to get covered in water when driving in the rain a lot easier than with my Rogue. I am going to see if some rain-x might help that. 2. The blind spot monitor system doesn't beep if I put my directional on with someone in my blind spot, the lights just flash, and they aren't terribly bright in the daytime.
  8. Why is the fact that the rear wiper activates in that fashion? I find that is super handy. The headlights also turn on when the front wipers are on.
  9. If the handle folds, should be no issue at all. If it doesn't, it might take some maneuvering, but I am sure it would fit.
  10. Well that's great, but there is a large dark area directly in front of the car I drive, and the beam pattern generally stinks.
  11. Not bad. Too bad you have to spend $100's to get adequate light from a brand new vehicle.
  12. Well, bulbs won't improve the beam pattern, and the beam pattern sucks.
  13. For what it's worth, Consumer Reports recommends the 2.0 vs the 3.5.
  14. You raise some good points. The only advantage I can see with Android Auto is the ability to read and send Google Hangouts messages, navigate with Google Maps and the ability to access podcasts through the infotainment system. Supposedly you'll be able to use Waze via AA at some point, but it hasn't come to fruition yet. IMHO, if you can safely access your phone while driving, i.e. its mounted in a convenient location, AA/Carplay doesn't have any great advantages.....yet. Well, unless your vehicle doesn't have Nav....
  15. Yep. Like I posted in my other thread, Consumer Reports didn't like the headlights either. Now that the IIHS is going to start giving headlight ratings, perhaps the manufacturers will put more effort into headlight beam patterns.
  16. Nissan Rogue. That is a possibility, but Consumer Reports wasn't very pleased with the headlights either:
  17. That is possible, the stick that worked fine for me was a USB 2.0. The manual didn't say anything one way or another. I have another 3.0 flash drive that I can try that I am using for extra storage on my laptop. Edit: The other USB 3.0 flash drive I have works fine.
  18. Sandisk Ultra Fit 64gb USB3.0. I ordered the Samsung equivalent.
  19. So, after doing some research, turns out not working with car entertainment systems is a known issue with this particular flash drive. Yay.
