  1. Found a newer local gas station that sells Ethanol free gas & it's not much more expensive than premium.
  2. I just remembered something that it also has to be AWD to get 3500lbs, FWD is limited to 2000lbs. I think that it has something to do with bigger brakes & when you take off the weight transfers to the back, so having AWD helps there. All 2016 - 2018 Sports are AWD (2015 they made some FWD versions) & all ST's are AWD. If I could go back in time, I would have bought my 2020 SEL with the towing package so I wouldn't have to install the hitch & wiring, but I have a better hitch & don't have a hole in the bumper. If you want to continue towing near the max towing, I'd recommend changing fluids much earlier than recommended, upgrading your pads & rotors & look at helper springs to deal with the sagging. I bought Air Lift Springs & they definitely help with sagging when towing heavier things or when I have passengers in the back or lots of cargo.
  3. You sure that it wasn't the previous Gen? Because there's no oil cooler or trans cooler part of the towing package for the 2015+ edge. The Sports didn't have a factory towing package & you'd have to go after market for a hitch & wiring, but limited to 3,500lbs. I also have a Curt class 3 hitch & after market wiring for a 4 pin connector. I usually just pull a ZTR, but I can pull a more if I want to.
  4. Picked up some cabinets & tables from a neighboring high school auction. Doing truck stuffs
  5. You don't need to pull the front bumper to replace the horn. I turned the wheel all the way one way (I believe passenger side) & unscrewed the fender liner screws & gives you access to the horn. I may have loosened an access panel in front of the wheel, but I don't remember. I purchased an OEM horn from a 15-18 edge & it was plug & play. Pretty easy actually. Probably 15 - 20 minutes total from start to finish. This guy removed the headlight to gain access, same principle.
  6. Currently sitting ~30.6 on my 2020 SEL. I'm assuming that it'll be ~28 manually calculated.
  7. I can say that the Curt & other units like it aren't plug & play. You do have to wire to a power source, either the battery or the interior fuse panel with an add a fuse/quick fuse. They're not difficult to install, but definitely aren't plug & play. I used the Curt Class 3 hitch on my 2020 SEL AWD & the Curt T harness wiring. The only downside from the factory hitch is that the hitch sits 3-4 inches lower than the OEM one as it comes from under the bumper instead of through the bumper. The Curt Class 3 hitch probably took me ~2 hours to install by myself. Would have been less if I had help. I also installed Helper Springs to keep it level while towing.
  8. Definitely rides better while towing with the Helper springs installed. In the dual pic, the latest pic is the top pic
  9. City driving / short trips kill my mpgs on my 2020 SEL AWD. Fuel quality & tire pressures play huge in these vehicles. Gas isn't the same, look for top tier fuel & I keep my tire pressures around 38psi in the front & 39psi in the rear.
  10. Bought this for ~$100 to see if it helps the sagging while towing. Did a run with a load in the hatch & didn't notice much of a difference, but I'll see what it does with the trailer in the next few weeks.
  11. Welcome, looks like we're twins. I have 35% on the front with the factory tint on the back
  12. Test fit & run with Mockins cargo hauler bought last year. Used the anti-ratted clip unloaded & didn't hear anything after an hour drive. Maybe the weather will hold out & I can test it with a load. Supposedly can haul 600lbs, but don't plan hauling anywhere near that with this. I like that you can still access the hatch with it installed.
  13. OLM said 42% & I usually change it around 50%, so past due in my book.
  14. What do most people do before a snow storm? Plugs, oil change & drained the Catch Can usually isn't on the list, lol. Roughly about 3,000 miles since last oil change & plugs are original & had ~51,200 on them. Car has been tuned for over 20,000 miles.
  15. Not saying that it's your issue, but I heard a click on nearly every slow stop, like waiting in line a drive through, where the sound could echo off the wall, on our '16 SEL Fwd. After some digging, it turns out that the caliper pins & all points where the pads touch the caliper needed lubed. Bought some extra brake grease & haven't had a problem since. Our calipers are painted & I think that the paint was causing the pad to stick to the caliper. I previously lubed them when I installed them, but it appears that it wore off or I didn't use enough. I also torque my lugs to ~110 ft/lbs & have never had an issue with rotor movement. Both our Edge's have Centric Premium Blank Rotors. The '16 SEL Fwd has PowerStop Z23 Evolution pads & the 2020 SEL AWD has Centric Premium ceramic pads.
  16. The wheel wells are made out of a hard felt type material & collect water. When driving in the rain, they'll get their fill of water & gradually release some & evaporate some. All of the vehicles I've owned & garage will 'drain' after they've been driven in the rain. Both our 2016 & 2020 'drain' for awhile after their parked in the garage while it's been raining. It's a double edge sword. That material is also sound deadening & cuts down on road noise. If modified, it'll make driving down the road a little bit louder. Almost wish the wheel well was plastic with sound deadening material behind it.
  17. Quess they're free! I'll take 4 ?
  18. Or leave the doors open all night ? Our 2020 wasn't in trickle mode when I went to bed, it somewhere between 75% to 100% after a couple of hours. I haven't checked it this morning, but I'm certain that it's in trickle mode.
  19. Our 2016 has a threaded part that goes around the terminal on the positive battery cable & should be plenty to thread the tiny ring connectors on. I've had 2 different types of chargers / tenders & usually leave the hood open when I have them hooked up & it's never been an issue. I just hooked up our 2016 & it took ~4 hours to get to the trickle charge point. It got to 75% within 45 minutes. I just hooked up our 2020 to see if it'll get to the trickle charge point before I go to bed.
  20. They will do that to test how charged the battery is. I would use the ring connectors with the quick disconnect so that it'd make your life easier connecting & disconnecting. Our 2016 SEL Fwd 2.0 will say 75% on the Norco charger for a few hours, then go to trickle mode.
  21. Things are getting pretty serious around here... Class III 4,500lbs towing capacity (even though the edge is rated for 3,500lbs), 675lbs tongue weight, 2 inch receiver. Since an Exploder is too big for us to use on daily basis, this is a decent alternative for storage while traveling. Way over kill, but might tow a utility trailer from time to time. Also way cheaper to purchase through...... Home Depot at $180 with a $40 off PayPal coupon. Can't beat that!
