    ST at race track

I don't understand you're argument. You're comparing apples to oranges. The Vette on the track wasn't from any of those era's, neither was the Lambo. Find an Edge or equivalent SUV/CUV from those era's for a more accurate comparison. If you think I'm criticizing the ST, I'm not. I would really like one or a 2016+ Sport, but they're out of my price range. But saying that the Vette was getting smoked by the ST is quite hilarious.

If anything, the Vette was racing the Lambo & both were being slowed down by the ST. Neither of them were 'hanging' with the ST, the ST was in their way & they were waiting for the straight to pass 'legally' on track track days. (On open track days you're usually only allowed to pass on the straights or designated areas by the track marshals)

The fact that it took him at least 1 lap to catch the miata from when he says "pass the miata" , yes destroyed. He couldn't catch him on the back straight or the front straight....even when he's in view of the camera. Took him at least 1 lap to catch up (nice editS) & pass the miata from his 1st comment about passing it. Ground mainly made up on the long sweeping front straight & back straight.

Neat video, but the Miata destroyed him in the corners (which it should) & he only gained any ground on him in the straights or long sweepers. The corvette spinning was 100% driver error & not trying to catch the ST. Maybe he could of done better if he left it in Sport Mode on his exits. He probably would have done better if he spent a few days driving it instead of taking to the track immediately after he got it. Still a decent video.
  5. the link you posted isn't for the 2.0. This one should work. I'd imagine the cabling is going to be slightly different: https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/jlt-3-0-oil-separator-2013-2019-ford-escape-2-0-ecoboost-passenger-side/ I used TeamRXP that catches stuff in boost & in vacuum. It's a little more expensive, but worth it imo. You can also get a more 'normal' one, but I don't know a good brand off the top of my head. A more 'normal' one would just be a simple connection between the intake manifold & engine block. The TeamRXP one has 3 lines coming off the can. I notice on my 2.0 that I catch way way way more in the winter, than in the summer. Probably due to the condensation & cooler/denser air. Same on my CX7, which has a 'normal' can on it.
  6. Short answer: Yes if you want to keep your 2.0 running for a long time. Coking can cause hesitation, rough idiling, bad mpg, etc. A catch can will help stop inpurities from sticking to the back of the intake valves.
  7. Here's my 2016 SEL brake swap if it helps you out Click Clicky
  8. Accidentally put the wrong rotors in the cart in the 1 image, but it adds about $200 to the cost if you went with Centrics in the rear.
  9. RockAuto.com usually has a coupon available if you do a Google search.
  10. You're losing mass which you also need to dissipate heat. If you somehow get snow & ice on your rotors, the slots & holes would fill with that snow & then melt, possibly causing ice to form in those groves & holes & throw your rotor out of balance. Rotors get hot obviously & would usually melt the snow, but warm water freezes faster than colder water too. With the z23 kit, I will sometimes get grabby brakes on the 1st or 2nd stop, but is gone once they heat up.
  11. All i can recommend is that Centric Blank Premium Rotors & the Power Stop Z23 kit. I have those on my 2016 & they're great. They handled the Tail Of The Dragon (look it up if you don't know) pretty well. If you don't track your car, why are you looking at drilled slotted? I've tracked & raced on Centric Premium Blanks (obviously not on the Edge) even had a caliper lock up on my CX7 for a few hundred miles & my rotors were fine. Slotted & drilled won't gain you anything. In fact, you'll do more harm than good. Don't want to get into a debate, but if you're not going to track your edge on a consistant basis (even then i wouldn't recommend them), then don't waste the money on drilled & slotted. Unless you're trying to go for the Fast & Furious look, then go for it.
  12. Just had a guy today try & cut me off because he got in the wrong lane & tried to force me off the road. He eventually even got out of the car & tried to open my door. Luckily I saw him coming & locked all the doors. Sad part was, he was in a mini van, full of kids 16 & under. I feel really sorry for them. Whole thing would have been avoided if he would have slowed down & got behind me as there was no one behind me. He was mouthing something at me like "Get the F*** out of the car, I'm going to beat your ass"....i just looked at him & gave him a thumbs up & kept saying good job. He then proceeded to follow me for several miles weaving in & out of traffic. When he eventually turned, he got up to my door & laid on the horn. I rolled down the window & clapped. He then tried to get back on the busy road & follow me. I really don't understand people. Guy was clearly in the wrong, but seems like he has some anger issues. I did escalate the issue by rolling down the window & clapping, but this guy need some anger management or something, lol.
  13. road trip from Ohio to TN, got 28mpg on the 1st tank, including ~40 miles of driving around town before leaving (calculated was closer to 26.7MPG). Dash is currently showing 30.xxMPG. Haven't calculated the 2nd tank yet, but it's probably closer to 28.xxMPG. Not bad for doing 70+ most of the way!
  14. About 45 West of Cleveland & 20 minutes South of Lorain. I'd say ~5,000 miles. Mainly city driving & the wife rarely has the windows down. It was changed out before we took a trip from Ohio to Alabama.
  15. I'll stick with 6 month replacement schedule, still crappy
  16. yup, install a catch can ASAP & while you have the intake manifold off, i'd preform a valve cleaning service. I notice my can catches very little during the summer months, but during the winter months (below 40 degrees & a few weeks below 0), it catches A LOT over a few thousand miles. I've had mine installed around 12,000 miles & currently below 36,000. I've also installed a tune around 32,000 & have noticed no difference in what's been caught compared to when new. I have NOT disconnected the intake manifold to see what has been caught on the back of the valves in over a year & a 1/2, but I'd imagine that's in considerably less than an edge 2.0 without a catch can. Here's my catch can install post if your interested: & this one if you're also interested:
  17. I removed this when i did my catch can install. I believe that if you push the pipe to the intake manifold & use something to hold the red ring on the intake manifold, it should pop right off. Doubt this will help, but here's part of my catch can install: https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22063-oil-catch-can-on-the-20l-ecoboost/?do=findComment&comment=165970
  18. Nope. That keeps dirt, debris, road salt, sand, etc., from making its way to the engine bay (ok, mostly keeps it from making it to the engine bay). As long as the plastic mollies are there, it's staying there. Keeps components much cleaner than without it.
  19. Very common. I would suggest looking at your oil level after sitting over night. Make sure its close to the 2nd hole. It won't eliminate it, but it will usually only do it for a few seconds till oil is circulated.
  20. I have the z23 pads on Centric Premium blank rotors. There is brake dust, but isn't terrible like the factory equipment. Usually on the 1st stop or 2 of the day, it'll be a smidge grabby, but not terrible. Great setup honestly. Stopping performance has greatly improved & i can stomp the brakes (emergency situation) & not have to worry about warpage or being able to stop in time. I also did NOT have the TSB done for the brake booster. Here's my thread:
  21. On my 2016 2.0, i only hear the fuel pump prime when my foot is on the brake before i hit the push button start. Don't hear it any other time, unless they changed something on the 2019's
