So does anyone know for sure...

Both ends of the racks slide off. Then just simply unscrew them. You'll have to replace the channel piece with a different one that doesn't house the rack. -
Projector Headlights for EDGE
wthrower replied to 1nutsvt's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Who did you speak to? And how confident did they sound? The reason I ask is because I just got an email from them saying that there were NOT doing the Ford Edge Projectors.... Bummed if that's true....I want them!!! -
yeah, i need the tires included...trying to take a quick and seamless approach...thanks though.

Projector Headlights for EDGE

I checked these out....cant really see how they are actually anchored to your existing headlight housing....any ideas? -
just get a flat head and place in between the cover and the bumper on the inner reveal towards the center of the vehicle. Then just "pop" it off. Easy as pie....takes a little effort but it'll come off.

1/28/09...these are still available. All 4 17'' stock wheels/tires with sensors, 20k miles on them. $199 in Southern California. I live in OC, but can drive within a reasonable distance to meet.

Do any of you think it would be possible to effectively get the amber insert out of the headlights? I hate the orange look. And I also want to take the taillights apart and paint the chrome trim on them black (like the sport). I wish there were aftermarket headlights or Altezza taillights available for our rides. I've already painted my grille and foglight bezels black, and want to finish off a "cleaner" look. I guess I could always do a lens tint, but its not really the path I want to take.

I am looking for 20'' wheels for my ride...but i am trying to discern what the offset will appear like on the car. I have seen some with an offset of 25 and some with as much as 45. Where do I need to be at in order for a 20 x 8.5 wheel and a 245/50/20 tire to look good. (ie: not sticking out or rubbing) thanks

its on regular radio stations......i didnt know there was a difference in HID ballast...ie: digital, analog

Anyone have any photos or experience with a roof top travel box. I am looking at the Thule Atlantis 1600. I have the oem rack with crossbars and was wondering if they would be strong enough to support the box for an extended period of time. The box itself weighs 39 lbs...and i dont really plan on putting more than a few snowboards and bags inside. But the oem racks just dont make me feel completely safe as they are on the "weaker" side compared to other racks out there.

Going off the title of this thread...I have a different HID Problem: My radio reception goes to sh!t when I have my HID's on.......when I turn them off, the reception comes back to normal. Any ideas on how to fix it or whats causing this??? thanks

Replacing Fog Light bulbs on Edge 2008 SEL
wthrower replied to Kanatronic's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Get a flat head screwdriver and pry the Chrome splashguard off. Place the tip of the screwdriver in between the black plastic bumper and the chrome piece. Do this on the inside edge towards the center of the bumper. The guards literally pops right out. Then you'll see a little tab on the side of the light housing....pinch that and pull the entire housing out...this will give you access to the rear where the light bulb twists in. Replace bulb and push the housing back into place until that little tab snaps back into place effectivly locking the housing to the bumper....... -
replacement gauge faceplates?
wthrower replied to abnormal's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
try to find a used cluster....unscrew the cluster and remove (carefully) the plastic gauge-plate. Then replace in your original cluster. I did this because I didnt like the black faces and found a used sel cluster. With a little care and common sense (patience), it was actually a fairly simple switch. -
Do any of you know if the SE model is pre wired for an overhead console? I have access to one and would love to know this info prior......i dont have the BAMR by the way.
