  1. Good luck with those speakers. Here is a quick tip. Ford speakers use a plug to attach to the wiring harness. A plug which you will have to cut when attaching new speakers directly to the wires. The plug inputs will be labeled 1 and 2. But your replacement speakers will be labeled + and -, leaving you scratching your head. Go to google and get a ford speaker wiring diagram with color codes to solve this problem. I forget the exact search terms I used but its not that difficult to look for it. Enjoy your upgrades but be careful because they are addictive. Replacing one component will show you the limitations of your other components. I ended up removing the stock system from my SE and replaced everything. Now I have a Sony head unit, JL Audio coax speakers, and a JL Audio amp and I love it. It also cost 1300 dollars, so let your conscience be your guide...
  2. I have the rubber mats for the front passenger section of my Ford and the back compartment tray. They are good solid and thick floormats. Only problem is that the drivers side wore out after a little over two years and it's not replaceable as a single, you have to buy the whole kit. As far as coverage goes, I live in the northeast and I haven't had any problem with snow or dirt getting where it's not supposed to. If you're really curious just go down to the dealership and ask to see some installed in a car. Also be sure and order the right floor kit. Apparently the drivers side on older models has one hook point but on newer models it has two button holes. Some of the dealers are a little confused on that point.
  3. When you say the Sirius module, I assume you mean the receiver. It is a black box. With the rear hatch open look down at the latch and then over to the left a little under the floor just aft of the spare tire. Mine says SAT on it followed by a series of numbers. It is attached to the car by a metal shield or bracket. There is a black wire that runs out of it along the left side of the car all the way up to the head unit. Good luck with your install. I went with aftermarket equipment.
  4. Could you be a little more specific about your AM fix? I have an aftermarket Sony with Sirius in my 2007 SE AWD and AM is almost non-existent. Not that I miss it much but it would be nice to have sometimes.
  5. In general people who install car radio's may be good at what they do but you are asking for something above and beyond. If a 16 foot wire needs to be run from your older installation to your newer one, then that will cost some bucks. I wanted the same thing for my Edge when I got my aftermarket radio installed but the guy said he had no experience with any possible mod's and wouldn't do it. One installer said he wouldn't even install my radio because he wasn't familiar with it ( it's a Sony, not exactly exotic ). Installers tend to be a plug and play bunch. If you need wiring done, then thats extra. Probably a lot extra.
  6. I got almost exactly the same deal: Leftover 2007 SE AWD (50 miles on the car) Rubber floor mats and Sirius Radio MSRP: Approx 27,950 Had to take Ford Credit Financing for extra 1000 off (at 9%) Paid: 22,399 plus 2,100 tax and 150? in registration and stuff Grand total: 24,650 Just talked to another dealer about a very similar car MSRP:28,065. He quoted me 4500 off sticker without even blinking. Who knows how low he would go. They are definately cutting some deals right now.
