  1. Here is my best LMS 93 tune time on race gas. This is their V2 tune. 12.96 @ 106 Mods: KN drop in filter Summer tires 20" light weight wheels HR springs 160 thermostat LIVERNOIS V2 aggressive tune with firm shifts (same tune I used daily) Race gas additive - 100 octane mix
  2. that's accurate. Also, narrower tires to save weight at 245/45/20 x4. I did remove the spare tire/kit - good for another 60lb. And the record run was made on a mix of 93 and 103.
  3. 3 gallons of 93 mixed with 5 gallons of 103 ($72). But clearly no one on this forum wants to go fast *crickets*
  4. The quickest and fastest recorded 1/4 mile drag racing in the country, #1 and #2 cars. Tuned by Livernois. Atco, NJ race track, DA around -1400. #1 and #2 fastest runs in the country, side by side Blasting a Countach 5000 Blasting a 6.4l Charger R/T Scat Pack and losing by 2 tenths, but if you look carefully, my best run beats him by 2 hundredths Blasting an older Vette who needed a driver mod If you know of someone running faster times than posted, please do let me know. My claim is based on DragTimes posted results. http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford--Edge-Drag-Racing.html
  5. OP can you PM me how you got puddle lamps open? I got new bulbs but couldn't figure out how to swap em.
  6. I am pretty sure I screwed mine the wrong way the last time I took it out and scraped the crap out of the spare, look out for it when I turn in my lease!
  7. I use stainless steel brake lines on the front and they improved the brake feel a lot. Coupled with summer tires I have never ran into ABS feel or any sort of fade. I'm not auto crossing and I do look ahead so I'm not surprised when I have to stop. 15 feet past the stop is unacceptable in the dry, the driver needs to plan better, the car doesn't just go sliding on its own unless the equipment fails which does not sound like the case.
  8. So I chimed in earlier saying one of my friends holds the record at 29.4Mpg with his tuned Sport over 400 miles... My average as of right now, with 5,000+ miles is just over 16mpg as per car trip computer, Sport with the same tune as the guy above...so in this case, cruise control makes a huge difference. Also, my A/C is on 100% of the time, summer or winter, I don't like the noise. Seat cooling is also always on, passenger seat gets the seat heating, I never use it.
  9. common sense, not so common eh. My Acura had no issues with what you are describing
  10. AWD has benefits in not that aggressive situations, like going fast off the line or when the road is wet. Of course, I think the Ford implementation is completely crap, why am I able to spin the front wheels when it's completely dry? Is it so hard to push the power 50/50 from the start and then move it front and rear instead of 100/0 and then think about it? I get that it's a FWD platform but come on... Yes...it happens at the race track when I push the rev's to 3k but it annoys me none the less.
  11. I know someone with a 15' Sport which is Livernois tuned and he managed 29mpg over 400 miles. I think he's leading the pack, if he was always on cruise control....but that's not why you buy the Sport. I am doing my best and averaging 16mpg on the New York City cycle over the past 5,000 miles which includes standing perfectly still, moving perfectly slow, and some drag racing ;-) Smiles per gallon is very high with this one.
  12. I have a 15' with a Vista roof and my shade closes 100% from front to rear with a single push of a button, roof closed. Are you trying to leave roof tilted/open and close the shade? My shade goes 100% to 0% from either side, no issues.
  13. What they forget to tell you is how much slower their tune is against Livernois, good thing my friend here got his cheap.
  14. I'm guessing once again that the only items that matter are size of vehicle and steering angle to which the wheels adhere to, skinny or fat the turning radius should be the same, considering the same car.
  15. If there is no modification to the steering column I'm gonna go ahead and guess a 195 tire will take up just as much room as a 265. Grab two spares and put it to the test
  16. Can you explain the theory for the bigger wheel means bigger diameter theory? Bigger wheel means smaller sidewall on the tire so overall diameter stays the same. What am I missing?
  17. I take it back...I had the seat issue where the back heated up, I think they are using rear cooling vents to cool the back seat which also makes the front seat less hot, I closed those and the seat was super warm in the back area, I was very annoyed as I never use the heat option, ever.
  18. My car is a 2015 October build and I experienced no issues of any kind beyond poor gas mileage, I suspect the issue lies in the right foot.
  19. As a new owner I think you will have bigger issues to check for first like water leaks on your carpet, seat coolers working properly, trick power steering not going haywire...important stuff. Either way, the fastest time should be held by a FWD vehicle as AWD power loss is like 30%
  20. I'm probably done modding. Right now just trying to see what the race wheels can do for me in terms of improvement, I don't think I ran my bestest time yet due to weather, guessing best time will come in November. We do have a thing in September where I will meet with someone and maybe run side by side, that would be fun.
  21. I'm certainly not a person who would push the envelope in this car, my last car was a muscle car that made the Charger SRT look slow with just an intake and a tune, that car never saw the track. I am having just a little fun with this one. I meant serious racers need to step up. Maybe someone I know will best my record this Friday with a FWD and actually post a slip...
  22. Here is a video of me against a Charger RT scatpack 6.4l for reference
  23. Still #1, the lack of interest is surprising as this car is pretty quick stock and doesn't take much to go faster. Oh well, quickest 0-60 and 101 is still mine! *Crickets*
