thats right.. you have the new suspension system...how is that new edge? is yours a sport? i honestly like the look of the original edge sports much more than i do the new ones..but i cant own a car under warranty because i would void that thing in the first week changing things and not wanting the dealer to do it..haha. is this your first edge or you traded in for a new one? i really like these h&r springs yet i would love another inch drop...i hope they settle in after a few weeks as i only got about 1 3/8 to 1 1/2 on one wheel.the ride is still very nice with a noticable difference in handling and body roll. and visably i can tell a huge difference but would like a bit more. the edge has such a large fender well gap . i saw they make aftermarket springs for your edge but they dont change the suspension height...

not gonna do a write up of installation. but it is pretty straight forward.i installed H&R lowering springs ,new struts and new shocks. all hand tools exept for electric impact for the spring compressors. doing them with a ratchet is not my idea of a good time. i also am looking for new wheels and wanted to see what black would look like so you know it...i ran out and got some plasti dip so i could get an idea without permannatly painting my chrome clad wheels..i personally like the black very much. here are a few pics...as of right now i have a 1.375" drop on all 4 wheels but i just finished them and drove for one day so they should settle a bit. alignment scheduled for tomorrow.

very nice!! tell me what all you did.as far as modifying the enclosure. i have been busy with my car lately..have done quite a few things since we talked. thats awesome that you modified that thing!! i knew you could do it. im sure you did but lightly and i mean lightly place fiberfill in you enclosure.it will act as if the enclosure is a bit larger than it is which you want. i want to hear about the mounting depth and if all my measurements i gave you helped and if they were accurate..what is the model number of the sub?

If what was suggested doesn't work, I had the same issue and the show notifications was already in. I tried everything and the fix ended up being... I had to restore my I phone. It was a Bluetooth issue, not a sync issue. Sync would give me the option of texting but it just never worked.

yes i do use my brights...they are halogen https://static.pepboys.com/images/productImages/43778100/Philips-9005VPB2-Pkg-Front.jpg and my fog lights are https://static.pepboys.com/images/productImages/43778100/12362XVS2-Front.jpg and i have seen fog lights and thought they "looked good" but thank you for your opinion and the subtle "your fog lights look stupid" definately came across and wasnt really subtle. i rarely even have my fog lights on and did want to run some 10,000k hid but i understand that my fog light fixtures are very small and could possibly melt. sry im in a shitty mood and tired from lowering edge and repplacing suspension today.if i took it wrong i appologize im just grumpy. ill post pics tomorrow of the lowered edge and i plasti dipped wheels too..im sure you dont think that "looks cool " either but it was for a purpose and idgaf what anyone thinks

i went out and bought the best halogen bulbs i could find..installed them and i am keeping my HID...i completely understand that my factory headlight fixtures were designed for halogen and thats great but just call it a personal preference..i like the flashlight in front of my face. i put the halogen in for my high beam but im keeping my HID. and Prinz you def need light down the road...you live out there in the east valley where there are no lights ..lol

Yes I ended up doing just that . Replaced the cargo light back to incandescent . It was one of the two issues causing my alarm to trigger

I need to hear these focals. I want to see how far ahead of mine they are. So one of us is making a drive. You still have the factory enclosure with the 8 right? Either you take my old factory enclosure (it fits a shallow mount ten) which I have one I'm not using. It's a kicker comp shallow mount 2 ohm DVC. Or we just build u a fiberglass enclosure like mine.... I just switched out my head unit. I was at the end of my tuning capabilities with having the factory head unit. So I took my lc7i out and now I have a lot cleaner signal from the kenwood. You should listen to this before you start adding a bunch of other components . You definitely at least need to use my old factory enclosure... It is a 100% improvement over the 8 that u have now.

Im not to familiar with the factory Sony system... How is the signal processed from factory? How clean would it be going to focals? I wouldn't worry so much about rms to front ... I have 75 going to my components through pdx5 and they could not be any more crisp... Unless they were focals. Lol. I think u need as much tuning control as you can get.

yea you high class people with the new rides have those plug n play perks!! lol jk its funny, the guy at the dealership told me the techs would be pissed if i brought my car in after i installed the remote start myself to have it programmed...so i told him "ok,ill just program it myself!" he tried telling me i could not do it myself.... he was wrong!

I have a 2010 limited. I just installed ford oem remote start last week. Part # SK9L2J-19G364-AA. Bi directional with pats interface. It does not plug n play in the rear of the vehicle it is mostly hard wired in the front of the car. I installed hood switch and the pats code ring around the ignition. It is not plug n play. Range is good so far. My factory key fob range is garbage.i am happy with the range on the remote start fob. I haven't been anywhere yet where it hasn't worked.

you two are the light of my life! haha we dont have fog here,or rain,or snow...only sunshine. except when it rains..so my fog lights are simply for looks. i am absolutely ditching the hid,you both have educated me on the lighting function and what works best,,the fog lights are where i can add a little color.

i honestly never really looked at it like you put it. i know that all my fixtures were made as reflective and meant for halogen,but i like my hid low beams. do not like the hid hi beams and will b removing them and replacing with a quality halogen. as fas as the fogs ...i live in az and not ever much use for fog lights so they are pretty much just for looks.

is that a 12"? what is the cf volume in the enclosure? i am imagining you have some time into that ...cutting and fitting and measuring and cutting..etc etc. the back of your edge looks smaller than mine,its obviously just the camera angle but the different carpet and stuff is throwing me off....how does it sound? any flat spots or the range is pretty good?

nice job. i bet that cutting of the fiberboard took some patience and measuring..i actually decided to paint my enclosyre as well...i am a bit wierd,just knowing the enclosure is behind the panel unfinished gives me anxiety...lol here are a couple pics. i too only painted the front.the back is very form fitted to the vehichle and any added filler or body work will take away from the fitting of the enclosure.
