ok so i would be in the dealership arguing with a service writter about how my audio system install has nothing to do with why my vista roof is a POS..

First , great job w the video! Terrible job starting the video with your phone held the wrong direction. But this is the same issue I had w my rear hatch door. Exactly the same. Can I ask specifically what has been done to fix this issue? Even the things you think may be stupid that you have done. have you unhooked the battery lately or done any work to the vehicle? is your battery new or possibly low? and lastly and you or anyone can laugh but have you literally shut the door by hand once? dont slam it but shut it with enough force to seat the latch. Power Liftgate Initialization Procedure If the LTM loses the logic battery supply for any reason, such as battery disconnect, module disconnect or if left open for more than 6 hours, the LTM will lose the power liftgate position stored in memory and will attempt to open when the liftgate switch is pressed the first time. The power liftgate can also lose position if the following components are removed, adjusted or disconnected: Power liftgate motor Liftgate hinges Power liftgate rod Liftgate striker test D has many steps and requires testing equipment . doesnt really matter anyway if you are taking to dealership. my point is i followed these steps and fixed mine by realligning my door.and re initializing.it happened after i removed the driver quarter trim panel and having to disconnect the swith to remove panel. The power liftgate does not operate correctly — reverses during the power close operation Circuitry Power liftgate latch Position sensor LTM Power liftgate rod Pinch strips Mechanical binding GO to Pinpoint Test D.

If it's under warranty I wouldn't touch it! Let them figure it out and in the mean time get a loner

what year is your edge ? it came with factory projectors? if you have the correct projectors i dont think you will need 55w. but again..what the heck do i know?? lol

I will not attempt to answer that. Simply because... IDK. Now if you want advice on audio lol. I'd be happy to throw advice at you :-)

When nick gets back on he will school u in lighting. But for each type of bulb to function as it was designed it needs the correct type of fixture

oh boy...get ready for a light projection lesson ..lol jk nick. yes he means get new fixtures..ones that are intended for hid or led. the guy knows his s%$t about lighting. i just thought id stick my nose in here..i knw it didnt belong but i have to give nick a hard time

tune up? what does that even mean anymore??.... lol. that is how they will justify giving your car back in 3 weeks, but sir we had to perform your tune up..we had to adjust your points and that takes a while! did they do anything to it the first time it was in? if you shut it manually buzz does it pull the latch shut? well i hope they do the right thing,good job on the video though... by the time they r done your rear hatch will have been operated as though you had 100k miles

i can tell you are intelligent..a happy wife makes for a happy life!! you knw the one and really only thing i dont like about my edge is FWD..i live in Az and there is no need for it..i dont drive in the snow or on the ice so i would much rather be able to steer than to have all that going on under the hood with a FWD vehicle..but hey..we all make sacrifices for what we love right? and i dont know if i could have a newer edge..i would void the warranty in a week..lol i do and always have loved the look of the early sports..just such a good looking ride..yours is looking pretty nice as well!! i sat down the other night and made a list of all that i have done in the past 6 months...even i was forgetting things..ha.took me an hour to be sure that was it..its the effect of having no life and being single..have some nice changes coming this week and next..ill post when im done..

what mac said...if its not on a scanner with a code or a service update then they are going to see it work three times and send it out the door. i had the same issue with my rear hatch.. try this Power Liftgate Initialization NOTE: The power liftgate may not operate correctly under the following conditions: A low voltage or dead battery A disconnected battery Repairs/adjustments have been made to the power liftgate rod, power liftgate motor, liftgate hinges or liftgate striker If any of these conditions has occurred, the power liftgate must be reinitialized. NOTE: Battery power must be removed from the Liftgate/Trunk Module (LTM) for 20 seconds before the LTM will enter the initialization mode. Disconnect the battery or remove the LTM fuse(s). Wait 20 seconds and reconnect the battery or reinstall the LTM fuse(s). If liftgate is not already in the fully closed position, manually close and fully latch the power liftgate. NOTE: Make sure the power liftgate system is turned ON in the message center before performing this step. NOTE: If the power liftgate does not open during this step, refer to the Symptom Chart to diagnose the inoperative power liftgate. Power open the power liftgate by using the key fob or control switch. Once the power liftgate is fully open, close the power liftgate by using the key fob or control switch mine would shut all the way but would not engage the latch,it would emmediately re open..i dont do the dealership unless i literally have no other option. but assuming you have extended warranty? i also closed one time by hand not slamming it but let it seat in the latch.it worked but sounds like the initialization is more of the fix for your half way issue..good luck let me know if it works

nick,whats the motor like in your '15 sport?

i have some black rotars and caliper covers on order, my new rims should be here this week i will post some pics after install. actually thought about taking up the last few inches of my fender gap with 22's until i saw the cost of tires... holy s$&t!!! i wish the springs just gave like one more inch and it would be perfect...im just gonna add weights onto each corner of the car..should work right??

now that is a noticable mod... i have been thinking about that very same thing. i think im gonna shell out for a tune next

imo your not goimg to notice a difference unless you are practicing your apexing of corners in your neigborhood..you will enjoy the added steering control and less body roll of the springs however. there are lots of overpriced struts online...car to carid.com they have lots of high end suspension parts.

I used Gabriel ... They are middle of the road. Didn't want to spend a ton of cash on struts although there are benefits to them. If you plan on racing around a closed circuit track :-) As far as springs... H&R is the only way to go. There are a few more out there but they don't give you as much drop and through my research they are the best available.let me know how it goes. Post some pics

that would be the one...only it wasnt painted at the time i saw it. he had just recently finished motor. i rode in it and it honestly is sketchy!! like so easily out of control if you dont know how to drive...power has no drop it is so responsive from the push of the peddle...turbo takes over pretty quickly. he was still tuning it. but the guy is an awesome fabricator.. very very impressive car

i have a buddy that owns a local shop here in phx and shares a building with a modification/fabrication company,the owner is a subaru guy...his car is pretty grown up.it has both a turbo charger and a supercharger...its the craziest subaru ive ever seen.but welcome to the ford life...i love my edge,want a sport but just not done getting mine where i want it..as soon as i run out of things to do or i come close to the line of to much ill get a sport and start all over again..

nick,explain the suspension mod on this edge? how so low?
