just wondering if any have added a second amp and sound processor to thier edge and where they located them? was looking at under rear seat but i normally keep my seats down in the back and def dont want to loose that option....anyone have any ideas or maybe tell where they located thiers? thnks for any help

i am also shopping for remote start and i am worried the range on that factory one is going to be terrible...started out wanting to just use my original key fob but after gaining a little knowledge i know i def want more range than that thing will ever give...let me know your end result and what u ended up getting...

i ordered hid should be here today...Prinzll did u install the relay with diode for the low beam? or no problems with flicker or bulb out code?

yea im sure after u forget once or twice you will come up with a way to remember! lol i live in Az so i have the same issue just at a different time of the year...right now im happy my vista roof is working again. but i will install remote start before summer.i just need to pick one i guess...i prefer to do things myself so as close to plug n play as possible...and priced around 300 ish would be good.

i do need new tires though...... are they 20" wheels on those wreckers?? lol

sony system is 12 speakers..unless you can change all the interior pillars and add sub enclosures and amps its not gonna plug anywhere...if it is audiophile system or premium sound the is a kit you can buy with the harnesses and sync box...i dont know how cheap it will be though . here is a link.... prolly be bettter building your own system. what do you currently have? http://www.oemautopartsco.com/products/brick-upgrade-kit

you can not undo software...sorry but what you have now is what you are stuck with unfortunately,,,,until they make a new update to fix the issue we are sol...

which one do you have? what year edge? thought of just putting the factory oem and use my current key fob but the range is horrible if im counting on that thing to start my car at the same distance it locks then i might as well just get in!

i know this is an old thread but i had same issue and it ended up being a tranny coolant line rubbed a hole in the ac condensor.... i had to recharge with dye and wqait like a week until it stopped blowing cold and checked for dye.... anyways im sure u got it fixed at this point.

have 2010 edge limited..do i have to buy conversion kits for both low beam and high beem or is there one that does both?

so my 2010 edge has the vista roof and it worked fine when I purchased used in 2013...then it started to close very slowly and at times I would have to pull it shut.it got to the point I was afraid to open it for fear it would not close and that isn't something I wanted to deal with. so I of course assumed the motor would need replaced and I began to research how this is done and cost.. dealer cost starts at 1000 dollars and can get as much as 2500.....no thanks!! I purchased mine used and do not have extended warranty. so I researched a lot and found this to be a common problem with these. found that cleaning and lubricating the tracks can often fix the issue..there is a video posted in these forums using tweezers and cotton balls to thoroughly clean all the old dirt and crap out of the tracks...so I figured I would try it...I was worried it wouldn't work and the roof would be stuck open because the last time I had used it was several months prior. but figured no guts no glory ...so I used the method posted in the video.i cleaned the tracks thoroughly and there are more than just the obvious... the video posted using hydraulic grease ....I actually called my local dealer and asked what they used and very shocked that they said come down and we will give you a free can!! so I used the factory recommended lube after cleaning...it closed much better.. I then re initialized using the procedure also found in another forum...and happy to say it is working ! still about a 9 sec close which isn't the quickest but I believe the motor probably isn't 100% because of use when the tracks were dirty and dry and the motor working harder to close probably took away some life. anyway here is a pic of the lubricant I used and prolly have to make this a regular service and maintenance thing once or twice a year...hope this helps someone ....there are very little details on actually changing the motor...3 videos posted by a german guy but doesn't detail steps to get headliner out and I really don't want to get into the headliner unless I absolutely have to!

just wanted to post my fix for text supporting after I updated to 4.4...had talked to sync and tried everything made sure settings were all correct in iphone 6s..still didn't work..so I tried last option and backed up my phone to iTunes and reset to factory then re installed my backup...and what do u knw,,its fixed. hope this helps someone...now if I could get an update fixing the auto revert to line in upon ignition cycle life would be great!

trying to get a wiring schematic for 2010 edge with audiophi;le system..is the little box mounted next to the factory sub enclosure the factory dsp? the amp is mounted to the back of sub enclosure. i want to add amp for front speakers but need to know where to pick up signal and wiring colors. want to keep factory head unit. please if someone can help that would be great

changed factory speakers in all (components in front 6x8 in rear doors added aftermarket 8" sub. removed the hideous front license plate bracket. finally got the nerve to open my vista roof and hope that cleaning and lubricating the tracks would fix the problem with its non operation.... it works again but still a little slow (9.5 sec close) problem now is I want to keep going with the stereo mods...what to do next? anyone have any suggestions? maybe amp for front?

I have 2010 limited with premium sound...I installed aftermarket amp and new sub..i used the signal after the factory amp and its working I am just curious is the signal usable before the factory amp directly out of the sound dist box? there are only two leads there meaning positive and negative for sub that go into amp and convert to two channels... assuming the pre amp signal is not usable.thank you to any that can spread their knowledge.

I updated to 4.4 and now it auto reverts to line in upon ignition cycle.... I liked that it used to remember I was streaming Bluetooth and exactly where it was in what song...I want it back shay....

i have 2010 ford edge with premium sound I added an after market amp and sub and had read that some had picked upt he signal into the aftermarket amp after the stock amp.this is how I have it installed.it sounds ok but I want to change it and use the signal before the stock amp but I only see 1 channel going into the amp1 + and 1- yet there are two channels exiting that feed the dual voice coilstock 8" sub..please tell me im just ani diot or pls someone show mea wiring schematic which seems imposible to find thank you for any help

vista roof started closing very slowly. couple times I had to help pull it shut. anyone know how to determine whether its the motor or the track being dry and dirty? kind of afraid to open it at this point
