There was no disc in the rear, but when I put a disc in, I couldn't do anything with it. Turns out my Sync was hosed, I had to pull the fuse. That is the most difficult fuse to access of any car I have ever owned.

Did you ever get an answer to this? The R in the box just appeared one day recently, and I have never put a DVD in the rear entertainment system.
