I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited with 80,000 miles. This same issue occurred to me. Once on top of the Sunshine Skyway (scary) about 2 months ago and then this morning on the way to work. It was like the car was kicked out of gear but the accelerator would not work. Both instances, I was able to pull over to the side of the road and didn't have an issue once the car was restarted. I have been so happy with this car up to this point. Why has Ford not addressed this? What if I was pulling across traffic? Would someone please respond to me on how to get this address since the issue won't show up on the diagnostic? If Ford does not come through on this, this may be my last Ford product-ever. If I can't trust the technology, how can I buy another car from them?
