Hi seacrhing the web it seems the 08 edge was notorius for some type of tranny issues. On CL many 08 are for sale and dealers who have them take a long time to sell. However the 09-10 seems to be alot better and are far and few for sale and they go quick. Im going with FWD since I very rarely get snow in cape cod. Any opinion on the 08 edge? Thanks

Hello my mom has a 2010 FWD edge w/42000 miles. She can no longer drive ( 88 years old) . Its been trouble free so far. I have seen lots tranny issues on the net on 07-08 but seems to be less on 09-10. Just wanted to know if FWD edges are also prone to tranny issues. I may buy the edge or sell it. carcomplaints.com only reports 07-08 tranny issues. Did ford fix it from 09-10? Thanks
