How do I run amp wire thru firewall?

Dang! It does look a little scary under there! Are you saying to go thru behind the big wire bundle plugs near the center? Could I talk you out of a pic? -
I was looking for a good easy spot to run 4 gage wire thru the firewall on 2013 edge sport. I need a little more bass than the factory sub can deliver! Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated!

Hey, I have the same kit and the drl's, just ordered the led tail lights. My hid's take about 40 seconds to achieve full brightness, did you use the included gold harness??? The lights are killer after that!

2014 Edge SEL Sub Install?
jstall7543 replied to HotLights's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
The cleanest install would be to find a used factory subwoofer enclosure and then buy the factory interior panel and wire up your own amp, maybe open up the hole for a tw3 10 jl thin sub. In the end anything else won't look good if you want a stock look. I've seen the used enclosure's on ebay a few times. I love the system in my 2013 sport. It's not the loudest but it sounds really good at moderate levels. In my 2000 xtreme I have the tw3 power wedge on a jl slash 500 and it's really really good for a tiny little box. It would be perfect in the edge but that's a $1000 setup and a still a box. -
2015 Ford Edge Speakers
jstall7543 replied to Eric Jonathan's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
The stereo in the edge is designed just for the passengers and to not destroy your hearing at the same time. It won't impress anyone out side the vehicle. I wouldn't bother with aftermarket unless you do amp's too. Believe me in my other car I'm used to 135+dB system so in my 13 edge sport I just keep it to a low roar and if I detect any distortion I turn it down a notch or two. I also fade to the rear -2 clicks and turn off surround for music. If you swap everything I would go jbl as I like the natural sound they produce. -
Dan's instructions said to only use the golden harness if the lights flicker and they don't so I didn't to avoid a rats nest of wiring under the hood lol. I ordered the edge specific kit the one that comes with the DRL'S, canbus and resistors. No other issues besides slow start up but they always start the first time and they are super bright 5k bulbs as seen in photo above. The kit take's about 45 seconds or so to achieve full brightness. The harness would probably have less resistance and offer a little more amperage than the standard plugs I imagine that would decrease the warm up time and maybe offer a little bit more light. I emailed Dan about what to do when I plug the battery back in, code wise etc... that was last Friday the 11th and zero response from Dan and today is the 19th. Somewhere read he had great customer service but I'm not experiencing that. So I didn't unhook the battery to avoid problems.

DRL options

I know it sounds kinda cheesy and I probably wouldn't do it but you could add a hidden switch as an alternative. -
window tinting
jstall7543 replied to mc62412's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Ya, that's bs! I just got my side front windows done and they are bubble free. The shop I went to is a 3M tint only certified vendor/installer. He only squeegee the windows a couple times and he said the tint is breathable so it needs 48hrs to dry bubble free. Good stuff! It cost $108 for 2 windows though. Lifetime warranty -
Anyone change/replace foot pedals?
jstall7543 replied to cmillz1331's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I didn't do the ebrake, it seemed like it was to much. This looks stock. There is always the sport pedal set but they are spendy. I had the sport pedals in my sport but I like these better. They are really grippy so when your shoes are wet they don't slip at all. -
